I got out of the H-D scene because I really tried getting involved with Motorcycle Ministry, but because of my ... profession (LE) ... a lot of the clubs we rode with wanted nothing to do with me. This is the CBR as she sits with just over 8,200 miles on it. I've got a tail tidy and integrated tail light on the way, and am thinking about getting some new fairings for it.

Hey everyone, I left for the "dark side" a couple of years ago and bought a 2008 H-D XL1200C, and I took quite a bit of flak on this forum for it and left. Since then, I've decided to get back onto a sportbike and got a 2008 CBR600RR last week! I love it and really missed the sportbike community. Picked up an 08 Sportster 1200 from Thiel's about at the end of last month, and I love it! I remember people voicing concerns about the seating position for my back problems, but it came with a mustang seat and I've already had it from Youngstown to BG and back a couple of times and I can't voice any complaints about it!

It took me weeks of living in Columbus to not keep my truck keys in the ignition. It really is different from living in the boonies outside of Bowling Green

There's ugly all over the motorcycle world. The big ape hangers, the 'busas, adv bikes, tassels, too much chrome. You're totally right that beauty is subjective though.

Funny enough, I'm going to college so that I have the possibility of promotion after I go local law enforcement. But gee, I guess my degree makes me ineligible to do the job it's required for. I'll just drop out and sit around with my thumb up my butt until i can get that law enforcement job.
