  1. The only bad thing about the GS-F is that it's pretty hard to find aftermarket stuff. With the fairing, risers won't hold the bars because it only has about 1-1/2" of wiggle room at full lock between the tank and fairing. Everything that I've seen with rear sets and drop pegs is done exclusively by guys on gstwins.com. And finally on seat adjustments, the only non- custom or homemade seat I've been able to find is a seat for about 400$ (before shipping) from somewhere in Europe.
  2. Does anybody know anything about the Victory Vegas 8- Ball?
  3. Thank you so much to all of you for your input, either for or against a cruiser. I really appreciate all of you older guys getting us younger guys going in the right direction.
  4. I guess maybe Trying to think to myself, "If it's good enough for a 60 year old man to sit in for hours on end, I hope i can hold up for it."
  5. I'm not a fan of sports tourers really, and adventure bikes aren't my thing at all. I just want to sit as upright as possible, really. I've been looking at something like a Nightster 1200 with a mustang seat. I don't want a full- dresser or anything, but something where i can get the bars up a bit higher would do wonders for my back i think.
  6. It doesn't help the sport bike track's case that i herniated one of my discs at 17. A lot of comfort is a requirement, and the GS isn't as comfortable as I had hoped for that ride to my parents'
  7. Well a big reason for wanting a Harley is that i want a lot more comfort that comes along with a cruiser. I sat on a guy who i consider my mentor's Fat Bob Lo and i fell in love with it. I wanna do some longer distance touring this summer with some buddies and making that jump to a cruiser has a certain... appeal to it. I am not against something like a Shadow, M109R, Vulcan, or V-star, either.
  8. Thanks, man. I'll be looking harder into keeping the GS
  9. The only thing about the GS is that its only got about 4,000 miles on it and i talked to a dealer and he said that on a private market i could sell it for about 600$ more than i bought it for. Does that change anything?
  10. So i started riding this past spring, and I started out on a 2008 GS500F. I've got a season under my belt, and I feel like it's time to move up and get a new bike. I'd really like to start looking into getting a Harley, but my budget's pretty tight. Any suggestions on bikes that i can get for under $7,000 that will work on a 15 minute commute to school as well as a 3 hour ride to my parents' house on the weekends? If anyone's interested I'm about 6'1", 230 if that makes a difference.
  11. I read in the news recently about TSA possibly beefing up security (again) because they are concerned that it may be possible to sneak a small handgun through the body scanners at airports. I'd just like to say that when i was flying last march, the body scan picked up a nickel that was in my pocket. A nickel in my pocket that i couldn't feel. If y'all want a full recollection of what happened, just ask. otherwise, any discussion?
  12. I did some trap with a Citori last year and I'd have to say it was well worth the price tag
  13. I'm hoping to get into weapons manufacturing after school! So either way, moar gunz!
  14. College student budget here, Kawi i've got some rifled slugs right now but I'm gonna be saving for the barrel (probably next season) Today, I made a Gander Mtn. run (the Cabela's isn't open in Columbus yet) because I needed some new bibs, but I got a picatinny mount for the 500. After I got home, I threw on a little sightmark red dot that I had on my AR for a while. Pretty entertaining, but the guy I hunt with has a shotgun scope that I'm gonna have on here shortly. Thanks to you guys for the Tactical ideas! Now I've got an idea of what i'm going to do with mine.
  15. I picked one of these up the other day to use as: 1. A deer gun 2. Trap 3. Home defense Has anybody had enough experience with these to know whether or not they're truly "modular"? It came with a 28" barrel with an improved, modified, and full cylinder. As far as I know, it will fit a standard barrel for a 500. Does anybody know how much a rifled slug barrel will cost me? As soon as I either hit the range or go out hunting, I'll try to get a review of my personal opinion up.
  16. All these guys aren't used to a young girl on here. That's my bet anyway.

  17. Your intro thread is SO DAMN LONG.

  18. JiMmY KoWaLSK1, and i'm absolutely pumped about ACIII coming out this month
  19. I have more intramurals tonight. Sorry, guys.
  20. I want a tattoo, but I have no idea what I want exactly. All I know is that I want Micah 6:8 and a cross in it.
  21. Odds are, most people (students at least) won't be safe to drive. If you wanna take your bike, go in on woodruff, left on college, right on 19th and park right under the walkway around the corner. best spot on campus.
  22. Hey i've got an intramural baseball game today that will be done by 7:45 can i try to tag up with you guys after that?
  23. I wasn't really a "new" rider this summer, but I took it and it was the easiest way to get my endorsement! And *cough* i sorta guess i learned something... maybe a lot of things, actually! This course is great!
