Plain and simple the moment this guy climbed onto a motorcycle, whether his sidearm was visable is considered concealed carry according to the law. Allstate is telling me to make a list of all my gear how much I paid for it and then go to my local agents office so I can turn in my gear to them so they can issue a pay out on it. Sounds like they arent even going to allow me to keep it.

My insurance company is supposed to be calling me soon to settle up on the loss of my gear. I have a few questions. Here is what my jacket looks like, Its obvious that my back piece took the greatest impact. My question is, should I continue to wear my jacket or should I trash it? There are no broken seams or anything and the CE armor plate in the back looks like it should be good. The other question is, my helmet doesnt look like it took any impact at all. There are no scrapes or cracks or anything else noting that it took any damage. Should I claim it as a loss just incase?

That sounds similar to what the Tula arsenal did with the 91/30s that were manufactured. They would stamp a C and a crylic r next to the arsenal stamp. The stamps showed the guns were noted for higher than average accuracy. Most were used for sniper service. My 91/30 even had the barrel floated in the stock. I open windows and doors on both ends of my apartment. When the wind is coming from the south I put a fan in the southern windows pulling in. Same for when the winds come from the north. I dont use the AC unless I am home during the days.

The route we took on the epic ride was awesome, very good roads, nice and clean for the most part. Take a friend and ride that route minus 555

I thought I had seen a gun similar to the one your asking about. Seems you posted this on facebook asking about it. imagine that.... that grease is cosmoline, that shit is like vasoline. you have several options. get some Hopps #9 and clean the dog snot outta it with the solvent which does good at breaking down cosmoline. Or you can tear down the gun to its exact parts, preheat your oven to 170 degrees and then cook the cosmoline out of the parts. When that stuff heats up it turns into a very thin liquid and it will just poor out onto the cooking sheet. I dont recommend this option as your wife/girlfriend will be PISSED because the smell is horrendous. Last and best option is to tear the gun down to all its parts and use dawn dish soap and a toothbrush and get to work cleaning all the parts after a good soak in really hot water. I used Hopps #9 on my Mosin Nagant and it did a great job.

Ok so I met with the inspector today. According to her. Allstate is assessing a value of my bike at $7007 they are giving me a value of $517 for aftermarket parts after my $500 deductible the inspector says they should make me an offer of $7017 or about that. They haven't assessed a cost to my gear yet. I am being told by a local friend who just recently had an insurance assessment done for his bike and he is telling me that they might be valuing my bike at that much, that the adjuster is going to low ball the dog shit outta me. He is saying that they will probably offer me around $5000 or so and hope I take it. He is also telling me that I need to push for them to give me more close to the NADA retail value and hold out to get them to cover the entire retail cost of my gear. As well as the medical coverage's for my back. What's some thoughts from the rest of ya'll?
