  1. I looked at all the more well known IWB holsters that i found on google. They looked good and functional, and the crossbreed is well made. But im about saving cash so i went with one that used a softer backed leather which is why you see the leather strands at the bottom. It isnt going to require much break in to get it to be comfortable. What really did it for me was when i had my wife to try and take my gun out of it from behind and from the side. My gun would bind a bit if she tried from either. It does force you to draw close to the body. It really did it for me when i flipped it upside down with a fully loaded 18 rnd mag and my gun didnt drop out. But when I draw it doesnt bind at all. So for me it works. And without the increased cost like other name brand holsters

  2. Its called the Fusion IWB, its made independently here in Ohio. The guy makes them for any pistol or revolver on the market and they come with a lifetime warranty. If the Kydex ever cracks or the leather wares out, you send it to them, or take it to their booth at the Lima Gun show and they will replace it for free. You can order them off ebay by searching "Fusion IWB holster". On Ebay they run $55 with the cost of shipping included. If you get it at the gun show, its $50. I love it for concealed carry, for open carry, i will still use my Blackhawk Serpa.

  3. In my career field i am forced to go into some of the shittiest neighborhoods from Toledo, lima, Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati after dark. Places where i have specifically been told by the residents that white boys weren't welcome. Ive been robbed 3 times in Dayton in the past 6 years while on the job. 2 had guns one was obviously strung out on dope with a chef's knife. I made it out fine because i sacrificed my dignity and cried like a bitch so they wouldn't hurt me. The last time it happened i started thinking about getting my ccw and a hand gun. Now that i have both i dont have to sit there while a couple of lazy fucks steal my tools.

  4. Its not that im against the rights of a business owner because im not. I just hate that businesses are basically openly announcing that their places are free to criminals to come and do their worst. The BW3 in Sidney has a sign on the back door stating that they Ban all guns on the premises.

  5. We had both in my armory on my ship. When we held gun shoots we used both. After 1000 rounds each shoot we had to clean both weapon types. Personally It really makes no difference other then the points mentioned. I personally like the piston better because of the heat difference.

  6. I watched it I have to say, both sides made good points but the anti gun side kept coming back to the same thing of gun controls. The pro gun side pointed out many times with verifiable facts that the ARs are not the ones at fault and that the system needs to be looked at on the mental health issue. The public that was there overwhelming supported mental health issues but also supported greater accountability of the owners. VERY FEW come out and stated that guns should be banned or controlled.

  7. It would have good too if there was a defined time for the " must notify promptly" part.

Thats easy. Once you roll the window down and the officer says what he has to say thats when you tell them, "Its my duty to inform you I am a licensed concealed carry holder and I currently have my weapon in the vehicle" I was told by my local chief LEO to say that exact phrase.

  8. Actually, that's probably good. It would have been much tougher to sign with that provision right now.

You do have a point, however I am an advocate of removing the Gun safe zones specifically for CCW carriers. Weve demonstrated that we are responsible enough to carry without serious incident. And I am certainly for removing the damn notices at retailers banning weapons from their premises. BW3 is one of those.

  9. I have a AR lower receiver made by Palameta State Armory, its got a CMMG trigger kit and Lower Parts kit. All thats left needed is a stock and buffer tube. I dont see this whole gun ban going through anytime soon. Too many republicans in the house are current NRA supporters and Harry Reed in the Senate is a NRA supporter. Hes already come out and said he wasnt in support of a ban but was involved of stricter back ground checks and NICS checks on private sales.

  10. On Wednesday, December 20, Governor John Kasich ® signed amended House Bill 495 into law.

HB495, sponsored by Rep. Terry Johnson ®, makes three changes to current law:

Eliminates the "demonstrated competency" requirement for second and future CHL renewals, making CHL training similar to a hunting license.

Fixes the definition of a "loaded gun" to match the commonly accepted definition.

Allows law-abiding gun owners to have their firearms stored in their cars in the state-owned parking garages such as the one under the Statehouse.

"This represents a dramatic improvement to the law," said Jim Irvine, Buckeye Firearms Association Chairman. "We solved the critical issues of removing the ill-conceived 'demonstrated competency' for renewals that start next month, and achieved a workable definition of a "unloaded firearm.'"

The law, which received bi-partisan approval in the House (66-23) and Senate (26-7), will take effect on March 22, 2013.

That "loaded gun" definition is a loaded magazine inserted into the weapon.

  11. No way in hell ill put a safe in a basement below ground level. Even if your basement is sealed, it still gets higher humidity then above ground. If your safe doesn't have a proper seal youll play hell keeping humidity low even with an electric dehumidifier. My dad has a large 1200 lbs 30 gun safe that he has installed in the closet of the guest room. bolted to the floor. Cost him 3grand to have it bought delivered and installed used. Most people in his neighborhood know hes got guns, hes got several outside deterrents that keep the thieves at bay. But like the installer told him, a safe is great to have, but if someone really wants in they will get in. Its the other items you have that will keep them away.
