  1. Here's a cool beater watch , thin enough to slip in out from under sleeves, stainless steel weight has good feel, I've repolished this case when it gets too banged up
  2. The badass Seiko Orange Monster automatic ...Seiko and Android automatic movements, auto are mechanical movements with a rotor that winds the main spring with movement of the wrist ......
  3. I paid too much for this Citizen Eco drive, I've seen them as low as $375.00 now. Arrrgggg...it gets ALOT of wrist time ...another of my Citizen Eco drives (solar powered)
  4. Here's my Invicta Retro grade chrono at the controls of a Mori Seiki CNC vertical maching center ...another one of my Invicta diver watches.. Another of my Invicta divers ... I have six Invictas but Ill stop for now until I get a photo of my Metorite dialed 26 jeweled auto , beautiful watch
  5. My EL automatic with 26 jewels, the more jewels means more accuracy.. Paid $375 for this limited edition (#26 of 30), then I bought the blue leather strap and stainless clasp for another $125 to really set it off!!...this relatively a cheap watch in the world of watches, but it's a good cheap watch due to its Swiss made automatic movement - and it glows in low level light conditions...perfect case size at 44mm...watches/motorcycles/photography maybe not in that order but those are the things that are most interesting to me
  6. Lets get into watches - I'm a toolmaker which this whole toolmaking trade evolved from watch makers, I could go into more detail but for everyone's sake I won't - lol... Basically though a mechanical movement has all the tiny gears and such - nicer ones have rubies (jewels) as bearing for longer wear. This is my 22 jeweled Russian made Poljot "Strela" that I paid $275.00 for, I haven't seen much less than $475 these days ...buttery smooth leather strap against the wrist, but nylon against sleeve ...I LIKE this watch ALOT but I've refrained from wearing it too much since I've seen their prices climbing, has the exhibition case to be able to see the movement
  7. $75 Bulova - nice stainless steel weighted feel - thin enough that its under the sleeve with no fuss......here's another one of my Bulovas $112...
  8. I bought this watch new over thirty years ago for exactly $52.00 - everything still works on it, replace battery and band a few times, but I wear this almost daily, nice stainless steel weight, very durable
  9. Oh Man - I'm into watches ! Here's my Kawasaki Racing edition Casio G-Shock that I found on e bay for something like $127.00 ...matches the Lime Green ZX9 perfectly ...what I don't like about my G-Shock watches is that the bezel is tall, doesn't hide under cuff very well at all, always caught on the sleeve ...I paid $50 for the black G-Shock but I think they're going for $75 these days ...cool watches though ...
  10. I should add that I've know since I was in the 8th grade that I wanted to be where I am today, well over 30 years ago I made decision to be top dollar toolmaker, thanks to the influence from my Father (RIP) who was a 33 yr retired General Motors employee, Dad was a machine operator at Delco Moraine. I've been mechanically inclined since a young age, learned how to read micrometers at around the age of 10 years old. . . . There's a huge personal satisfaction by being able to create tight tolerance tooling, most guys can not, this career is still interesting to my intelligence, still challenging my skills, pays good enough, not wealthy but not scrounging either. . . I work long hours. My whole career, LOTS of hours - for instance I will have 52 hrs at 6am, and we had two nights off for Christmas... .... I've spent my career taking on the work that nobody wanted to do, for whatever reason, tight tolerance? Shitty work? Whatever ... Get good at doing the stuff nobody wants to do .
  11. Dayton Ohio is tooling. Tooling? How do you make tooling these days? Like my job programming setting up operating CNC equipment. . . In my career the guys with "engineering degrees" don't actually do anything productive with motor skills, those guys sit behind computers and wish things could be as they were taught that they could be. . In the real world though toolmakers actually make the stuff. . . With that said, in my 27 yr career as a toolmaker, I've been involved in automotive, military (US Navy Missil ignition cables), beverage containers (BEER!!) orthopedic implants, 50 cal machine fun stuff, 30 cal machine gun, Hummer stuff, fuel injection, air conditioning, radiator, catylitic converter, fuel tanks on and on .... Not motorcycle, but lots of very interesting stuff.... Someone has had to draw the blue prints (CAD) that us toolmakers work off of...
  12. Not really hiking like at Charelston Falls ( near Vandalia). I've explored the falls at West Milton for prolly 30 years, it's fallen to ill repair, most of the railing is gone, kinda unsafe back there, especially with snow covering where ya need to step to.
  13. West Milton - falls are at corner of St.Rt 571 & St. Rt 48
  14. Jazz being mesmerized by the snow storm, won't go out to play in the snow, just sits here and stares at the whiteness
  15. went out 4x4n this afternoon, shot some photos of a near by waterfall....playing with camera settings ...nothing to compare water fall distance to since I couldn't convince any of my children to take this adventure with me, but this is at least a 25-30 foot waterfall
  16. $7k Harley = sportster....to get a bigger Harley you'd be looking at $10k used with less than 20k miles.... Touring Harley is gonna cost $17k used...I've traveled to Lake Cumberland Kentucky with my Harley that I've lowered...brutal trip, no wind protection, no suspension, brutal...and I'm 5'8".... My ZX9r is lots more comfortable traveling long distance, plus lots more speed. . . . .
  17. doesn't Isreal have mandatory military requirements for all male and female citizens?
  18. Have you seen the new covered bridge over at Hueston Woods? A friend works for the construction company that built it, another friends electric company wired the bridge for lights... It's a NICE covered bridge.
