The Purple Heart vet that was killed by a sniper both he and his wife were members of COIR, coalition of independent riders, a national grass roots biker organization focused on rights. He was not wearing a patch. He was not a member of the Banditos or Crosslocks or any other 1% club. So another lie has come to light. So many people were swept up in this, Christian riding groups, Mom & Pop groups, Veteran's groups, etc. etc. Most will sit in jail until bail reduction hearings can be set up maybe months. The only people that walked away were from the uninvited club.

I ride 480 during rush hour I get that practice everyday. I really love riding in traffic more then the twisties.

Tonik Could the uninvited biker group that is mentioned in your article and one of my posts Be one and the same I will not mention the group on line but I have been around them they are arrogant and total asshats if you do not kiss their asses or give them any shit over how their drunken asses are acting you will end up with and asswhipping and spend a few nights in jail. I leave any time they show up. Is is also funny that not a one of them got arrested.

Its starting to look like a preplanned execution to me. But your right they will be cleared of any wrongdoing

Sorry to say but that cop ended up getting fired for that. Too much scrutiny on cops now but most motor officers I know are pretty much just like that cop. After all was said and done he was eventually reinstated

In day's long past the COC was a place where everybody knew it was "hands off". Clubs put differences aside and discussed important issues but times are changing and the members of today don't follow the same rules they did years gone by. My guess is when the fighting started members pulled their guns to protect their leadership and get them out of the bar and they were shot by the cops as they left http://www.kwtx.com/home/headlines/Waco-Shooting-Near-Twin-Peaks-In-Waco-304043711.html

Looks like 7 of the 9 dead were killed by head shots
-
Sounds like a LEO club was involved in this also. Team LEO came better prepared for the turkey shoot they already had snipers on surrounding buildings before any of the other clubs arrived. It wont surprise me if it come out most of the shootings were by the police.

Jim Thanks We will have to get together on one of your Fridays off. I was going to show up at your meeting point for the ride and go with you but I got a last minute Mission for the Patriot Guard and went on that. The one good thing that came out of this is my wife will now be wearing her helmet every time we go riding from now on before this she was more worried about her hair.

I thought about posting this on that forum but it’s a Harley forum and the guy is from another legion post I would not want to start any shit between our two posts. I heard the guy lock up his rear brake and saw the guy go down in my mirror and as his bike slid past it was moving in my direction. I’m glad the bike went the way it did or it might have killed the couple on the ground if it hit them at 30mph. It could have been a lot worse

The first thing I tell new riders is Learn how to STOP your life depends on it.

Here is what brought this question up. 4 of us running 2 abreast at 50mph on a tree lined road the speed limit is 45. A car is sitting in a driveway on the right side of road. We can see it 300 yards in front of us with no other traffic in either direction there is no sign that the car wants to pull out. Just as we approach the car it pulls out making a left had turn in front of us driver sees us and just stops in the middle of the road This is where things get fun all 4 bikes lock up the front bike on right low sides left bike stays up. Bike on right impacts car at probably 30 mph Left bike impacts car at probably 2mph and stays up. Now the second 2 bikes left bike low sides Right bike stays up. The bike on the left starts sliding across the front of right bike (my bike) and barley misses us the other bikes and the car but takes the ditch hard. I stop maybe 5 feet short of everything. All this happened in less than 10 seconds. There were no serious injuries but 3 people got to take rides in squads and two bikes are totaled. Now I see the asshat that almost took my wife and I out has posted on another forum he had to lay it down.
-
Laying the bike down. I visit other motorcycle forums and I see a lot of threads that start with I had to lay the bike down. I am wondering what the riders of this form think of that statement? To me laying the bike down is something like. You are at a full stop parking your bike the kickstand is not in the fully locked position as you get off the bike it rolls forward and starts to fall over you grad it and stop it from hitting the ground hard. To me anything other than that is just plain crashing and an excuse for not knowing how to properly control and stop your bike. A bike will stop faster and with more control on its wheels then sliding down the road on its side. Any other thoughts on this?

Local news seems to be the most informed. Full load of stupid. http://www.wacotrib.com/news/police/....html?mode=jqm UPDATE, 6:00 p.m.: Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said part of the altercation that preceded Sunday’s biker gang shooting at Twin Peaks started in a restroom, spilled into bar, then into the parking lot. At least two of the gangs were trying to do some recruiting in the area Sunday, and Twin Peaks was a known place for that kind of activity, Swanton said. Multiple law enforcement sources confirmed that the Bandidos and Cossacks biker gangs were at the center of the incident. “In 34 years of law enforcement, this is the most violent crime scene I have ever been involved in,” Swanton said. “There is blood everywhere. We will probably approach the number of 100 weapons.” “What happened here today could have been avoided ... They failed and this is what happened,” referring to the Twin Peaks local management. “Next door were families dining in Don Carlos,” he added. “Twenty-five feet away there were families.” Swanton continued, “This is one of the worst gun fights we’ve ever had in the city limits. They started shooting at our officers.” He added, “None of our innocent civilians were injured today in this melee.” Officials are interviewing people of interest in multiple areas, he said, and while there are no other active crime scenes, there have been scuffles and disturbances throughout the city. “The unfortunate side of gangs such as these is that they work intel just like we do,” he said. Central Texas Marketplace was closed entirely Sunday because of additional bikers coming to the scene, including the three arrested earlier. UPDATE, 5:00 p.m.: Officials are hearing reports and seeing evidence of many biker gang members coming into town from throughout the state. In response, police are moving some witnesses to a secure location, said Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton. Multiple police sources confirmed that the Bandidos and Cossacks biker gangs were involved in Sunday’s shooting. Swanton said police have also stepped up the law enforcement presence in the area, but won’t say what else officials are doing to prepare. At least 18 people are confirmed injured, in addition to the nine confirmed dead. Most of the injured have gunshot or stab wounds, and some have suffered both. Some of those injured have been transferred to other hospitals for their own safety, Swanton said. Swanton added officials are in the process of shutting down all of Central Texas Marketplace. “We don’t feel it is safe to keep these businesses open,” Swanton said. Three additional biker gang members were arrested with weapons and taken to the McLennan County Jail on charges of engaging in organized crime. The sergeant said police will charge suspects with the most severe charges possible. There are still a large number of people being detained, he noted. “This is not something we’re playing around with,” Swanton said. “This is a major crime scene. ... It is a pretty gruesome scene.” UPDATE, 4:00 p.m.: At least nine people are confirmed dead in a shooting around noon Sunday at Twin Peaks restaurant, said Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton. All of the fatalities are members of biker gangs. No patrons, servers or law enforcement officials were killed, Swanton said. There is a very significant increase in law enforcement in McLennan County right now, Swanton said. Local, county, state and federal agencies are involved in investigations into the biker gangs. DPS and intelligence agents were working on the investigation long before today and Waco police have been aware of the inquest for more than a month, said Swanton. Twin Peaks and Don Carlos were closed down after the shooting, and witnesses are being questioned on the scene and at the police department, according to the sergeant. “The management wanted them here,” Swanton said of Twin Peaks officials. “Management knew that there were issues, and we were here, but they continued to let those groups of people into their business.” Brad Doan, general manager of the Twin Peaks at Central Texas Marketplace, said the restaurant did not have an immediate statement in response to the shootings or Swanton’s claim that Twin Peaks was not cooperative with police until after Sunday’s shootings. Doan referred all questions to Twin Peaks’ corporate management. They were unable to be immediately reached Sunday afternoon. Numerous people have been detained, but it is not clear how many people have been taken into custody. “A lot of innocent people could have been injured today,” Swanton said. “These are very dangerous, hostile criminal biker gangs.” There were at least three rival gangs on the scene when the shooting occurred, Swanton said, though he did not immediately provide the names of the gangs. At least 12 Waco officers, including a SWAT team, and other DPS troopers were at Twin Peaks or in the immediate area when the incident broke out. Waco police officers moved in and did fire rounds during the incident, Swanton said, praising their quick response. “Their action has saved lives by keeping this from spilling into a busy Sunday morning,” he said. Eight people were confirmed dead on the scene and one other at the hospital, Swanton added. Helicopters continued to fly overhead about 4 p.m., and officials asked citizens not to come near the area.

I just wasted about 10 minutes of my life reading the other thread now I know you have not lost your mind. LOL

Well I guess when you are going over the hill you might as well do it on a trike. Keep me in mind if you want a riding partner to Alaska. I will stick to 2 wheels I have a few years to go before I reach that point. White Spider RT If you want something you can get worked on and repaired anywhere you might want to think about the Harleys If you break down on vacation you go to the head of the line at any Harley dealer

This one got scared off to easy no one even asked to see a picture of her ass LOL

The turbo made a big difference over the 120mph mark I had the bike bored to 1170 and had high performance pistons and cams put in it the first week after I had that done I sheared all of the dog gears off of second gear doing a full power shift and had to have the transmission rebuilt and beefed up. The bike was faster up to 120 without the turbo but when the turbo finely kicked in it would lift the front end off the ground and leave any other bike I was racing way behind I never lost a street race and only lost once at the track by a few inches only because I F--k up and waited to long to do the last shift and over ran the power curve. The other bike was another KZ1000 built by the same people that did mine. The bike is going to my grandson when he can earn the money to pay for it respect it and is mature enough to have some common sense. Just between us I will not take his money I just want him to work for it and show me he really wants it.
