  2. just testing the waters, i want to put my wife back on a 250, or a honda shadow. looking for an even swap.

mine needs both side fairings and the tabs on the meters are broken.. ill get some pictures up. but im not looking for a shiny bike either.. just something she can comfortably touch the ground. even with 3" lowering links on it she can still barely touch.

  3. Well I almost rode today, but my better judgement kicked in and I decided not to. I have not registered the 675 yet and thought about using the 600's registration for the day, thought it would be a brilliant plan, but then I realized I would get fucked if I got in an accident and decided not to :/ This key is burning a hole in my pocket!

josh if oyu go out tomorrow let me know, ill see if my wife will let me free for an hour or 2

  4. Not to belabor a point, but you're talkin' a shit load more than 4000#. Figger the trailer alone--big enough to haul a car--is gonna be an 16'-22' tandem axle flatbed that's gonna weigh a minimum of 1500-2000#. Add a vehicle that, depending on size, weighs 3000-5000# + and we're talkin' a minimum of 3 tons. More likely, you're looking at 4+ tons. Be safe out there.

not to belabor your point, BUT.... your forgetting that though the car and trailor may indeed weigh around 6000lbs if not more or slightly less, the rolling resistance is only very minimal. for example, lets say you have just a car that weighs 3500lbs on a paved road and all 4 tires are aired up, it would only take about 245 lbs of pressure to move it.

sorry im not trying to be rude, i promise.

  5. I have twins the age of two (boy and girl) and a step son the age of 1. (Long story). But I love being a father. There is not a better feeling then riding home on a bike and walking in the door to all your kids rushing to you for hugs and kisses. It's awesome. I just need some time to catch up on some sleep occasionally.

  6. So I took my wife's cbr out for a ride about an hour or so ago, get 100 feet down the road and woosh! There goes my left fairing. Split second later woosh! There goes my right fairing! While only doing about 50mph. Both busted off and left the tabs on the bike. I knew when we picked that bike up about 6 months ago it had cheap Chinese plastics. But I never expected them to just break off. Oh well, I already ride my street fighter zx6r so my wife will just have to deal with it. It's doesn't look horrible, but her being a woman it's not "pretty anymore". Oh well. Just watch your plastics gentlemen and ladies.

  7. rough times man. someone in the beginning of this thread said the perfect words.

"she'll tell you when its time, its their will to live"

love your dog and wait for her to tell you. though its rough on her and your emotional state, when shes done needing your attention and love, she'll let you know.

just think of it as a person, when a person gets older and starts having problems, they enjoy what they can because they know their time is soon. let her enjoy it.
