  1. I had my ranger sprayed by Linex off Wilson a couple years ago. The color holds really well and is strong as hell. Ive got no complaints about mine nor does my dad whos had it done on both of his trucks. Well worth the investment. I think it runs around $500, but the guy at Linex on Wilson hooked me up for being a Vet so i think i paid under $400.
  2. Just thought I would give an update on the bike and powder coating. I ended up going with IPS since I have had them do work for me in the past and it looked great for a fair price, so it was worth the drive from Grove City. Brent did the work, and only took 2 days. It looks amazing to me and gives the bike a more sinister look. So thanks again to Brent and the guys at IPS. The rocker boxes, and covers were originally chrome, now wrinkle black. 3. Good deal. Ill be up possibly tomorrow. Thanks.
  4. Wheel Medic couldn't quote me without seeing the pieces, and said it was a 2-3wk turn around anyways.
  5. Good call on IPS. I forgot they did some powder coating for me before. Kind of forgot about them since they left my neck of the woods. They can do it for $80. Seems fair enough. I was thinking about doing it myself with some VHT paint, but thinking this might be more high quality and last longer/look better. Anyone got input on that?
  6. Looking for recommendations for a shop/person that can powder coat my rocker boxes on my motorcycle. Would like a wrinkle black just like whats on the rest of the motor. If anyone can point me in the right direction to someone who can do this for a decent price i would appreciate it. Thanks.
  7. I guess im just not tracking as to why Gays can march down main st and its fine. And if you disagree with it, then your bashing. But a white man cant do the same thing? Be gay, fine, just quit making it a point to tell me about it.
  8. Yea, i would say that Gay Pride parades are shoving it down my throat. I mean, theres no straight pride parade. This exactly.
  9. This has really gotten out of hand. Its a simple as being discriminated against because of his beliefs. He was asked a question, and answered it. But because it goes against what most of society now thinks is ok because "its 2013 man", hes being criticized and labeled a gay basher. Its pretty ate up to me. Like previous posts have said before, if he had been in support of the LGBT community, this wouldnt even be an issue, but because hes actually sticking to his beliefs as opposed to selling out, hes now being punished. I consider myself a Christian, but have multiple family and friends who are gay, and im fine with that. The thing im not ok with is how they can shove their beliefs down our throats without it being hateful to my beliefs, but i cant speak my mind on it without being labeled. Same thing goes for race, religion, etc. Just a shame that America is as soft as it is now.
  10. We was walking along 665 to meet some friends and keep hunting. We was unloaded and obviously not hunting at the time, which is why i figured he would be lenient. I dont know what kind of authority they have in terms of random searches and what not. Im not mad at the ranger necessarily, just disappointed he didnt give us a break given the circumstances.
  11. Well, i went with my buddy to his court date this morning. What a mess. The judge sounded confused by the charges, and my buddy tried explaining his case, but the judge didnt sound too interested as he had probably 100 or more people waiting to go through today. He ended up reducing the fine from $100 to $50 plus court costs by pleading no contest. Ended up being a 3rd degree Misdemeanor with no way around that. Guess it can be exsponged after a year though. Also found out that because of the charge, he had to go to court and wouldnt have been able to just pay the fine by phone or whatever. Just one more way for the man to suck some money out of you i guess. Either way, lesson learned, even though it was a little harsh of the Ranger considering we fixed the problem on spot. Probably put a bad taste in my buddies mouth too considering this was his first time deer hunting. I know a couple of you wanted to know how this turned out so figured i would share.
  12. It will be closer to me in Grove City so thats a plus, but i agree with Obetz being a shitty area for sure. I get wanting to be off of the interstate, but feel there were better options. Grove City or nearby for instance would have been perfect. Theres no other competition down here, plus its a good middle class suburb that people wouldnt be afraid to come to. I am happy to see another range coming from this, plus it would make it the closest to me again.
  13. I passed all this info along to my buddy, says he's gonna think ot over, but sounds like he's going to take it to court just for the chance it can be removed off his record. Court date is Dec 18, ill fill you guys in on what happens. As far as when the plug came out, he thinks he either took it out or it fell out while cleaning his gun prior to this day. Once we noticed this as well as the ranger, we did the same as you and put a twig in the mag, still the ranger decided to write the ticket though.
  14. Technically if you go verbatim, word for word in the book like Mojoe says, then we wasnt hunting by definition. I see what your saying, and i think he could get out of it, without lieing or anything, if he took it to court. But, whats the point in paying $80 in court fees to fight a $100 fine? Im assuming his "record" would be wiped clean of the misdemeanor, but is it worth it?
  15. Ill pass this along. Thanks. I didnt even know there was an online version. Thought it was just one long ass class day. Ill let him know though. Thanks. This is what i thought. I think we did say we was hunting though. But either way, might be worth it if he decides to take it to court. Thanks for all the input fellas, ill pass it along and see what he wants to do.
  16. But wouldnt there still be court costs? True, just wondering since it wasnt loaded if he could say he wasnt "actually hunting". Yes he has an apprentice hunting license. How will this help his case? Pitty for being naive?
  17. I read it, he has yet to read that or take the hunter safety class. Just wondering if there was anyway around it. But even if he takes it to court it wins, he still has an $80 court cost, so sounds like lose, lose regardless.
  18. So me and a buddy were deer hunting yesterday at Battelle/Darby Metro park. Had been hunting all morning and made our way down to 665 where we proceeded to unload our shells from the shotguns since we was going to walk along 665 to meet some buddies up the road. While walking we get stopped by a Park Ranger who started out pretty cool and just talking with us about the deer season, etc. Then he asked to see our hunting licenses which checked out, then proceeded to check our guns for plugs in the magazines so it holds no more than 3 shells. I was good, but my buddy has some cheap knockoff brand pump, and we had put a plug in there the week prior but he took it out while cleaning it and didnt replace it (not knowing better). So the ranger checked it and it held 6 shells since his plug was missing. My buddy got a ticket/fine for $100 and labled as a 3rd degree misdemeanor. Now i know hes in the wrong and maybe even me since i shouldve double checked him, but is there any way around this since 1, we was walking and not technically hunting and 2 the gun wasnt even loaded. Just looking for personal opinions/advice and just ranting i guess. I know the Ranger has a job to do, but it is a pretty dumb law and a dick move knowing this was my buddys first time out hunting and wouldnt cut him some slack even after we made a plug for the gun on sight.

    Trading in/up

Thats an option, i was just exploring other routes that were faster, straight up trades. But now i see that i dont think thats going to work like i hoped. IDK about all of them, but mines 4x4 with the "better suspension". Correct, i need more seating/room.

    Trading in/up

I was hoping for a higher trade in value. Disregard then. Thanks anyways fellas.
  21. Just looking for opinions/advice on something. Ive got a 01 Ford Ranger Edge. Reg cab, 4x4, 4.0L with only 79k miles. I paid i think 8k-ish for it a few years ago and is now paid off. Its a great truck with zero issues mechanically, and only a minor dent on the pass side rear quarter panel from a hit/skip. I love the truck, but my family is growing so i think i want a bigger truck. I was thinking 99-04 F150. Just from quick glances at autotrader, seems like you can find them under 10k with about 120-150k miles. Questions is, is there a reason these trucks seem so decently priced? And does anyone know roughly what i could get on trade in for my truck? Thanks in advanced fellas, just trying to figure some stuff out before going to dealers.
  22. Another vote for Hocking Hills. Was just there last week and the leaves were just starting to really turn. Should be getting really good now.
  23. Dreaming: any Lambo. Realistically: Terminator Cobra or 11+ mustang.
