  1. i was leaving IPS the other day and saw a black mazda mx6 on a trailer be towed that way. after returning to IPS, i saw the mx6 sittin out front n checked it out. turns out hes having sum engine work done too. its got a red "slowmotion" sticker plastered on the hood and fender and has sum red wheels that are too wide for the wheel wells and sticking out. question is, has anyone seen this car before or is he on this site? wouldnt mind knowing sum other mx6's in the area.
  2. Nice, sounds like u been tasked out all over lol. and no i dont no SGT Joyce. And the 148 Mobed at hood on the last deployment but i didnt go, heard it was like u described tho-sux for incoming MOB units. and im sure well end up seeing you around, the guard is a small place.

it wasnt that the engine didnt fit. the guy was claiming that the intake manifold wasnt linning up right w/sum ports and plugs, etc. obviously he is wrong cuz its not like im the first guy to have this swap done lol. he was kinda shady tho but i guess thats why it was cheap. now its w/the pros at IPS and they say its almost finished so ill have pics the day i get it back. and yes the ZE is capable of up to 400hp but thats alot more money and potential problems that im not sure i want with a daily driver. but who knows.
  5. lol, iv heard that if we dont go to Atterburry then were prolly goin to Hood. I havnt gotten to see all of Atterbury but what i have seen doesnt seem big enough for what we need. and yes im in the 37th. 148 Infantry. U?
  6. yea its not bad. theyre thinking of having us mob there but aint sure if its big enough for our unit size. and are u still serving?
  7. Ill be playing in these nxt summer. Ill see if i can race a hodgee or two for pinks on his camels. zing.

for the price i paid for the car (4500) and the parts and labor that have gone into it, this car is still cheaper than other that i would love to have but just cant afford at this time. id wrather pay 1000+ for a new motor than 5k+ for another ride and start off at square one again. plus this car only needs to last for another 11 mths till i deploy. should remain a great lil daily driver.

Jones-the JDM engine is rated at 200hp compared to the 164hp stock. Along with the extra HP tho is a higher compression than the stock motor. Yes the stock motor would hold up better to boost but that engine is already iffy and then to boost my daily driver just has money pit written all over it. Trust me i considered it tho but for now im just sticking with the reliable and more powerful ZE for a daily driver. Plus the motor was only 900 plus 500 for the bad swap. It sounds expensive but compared to the problems i would have had with boosting it, this is the better route for me at this time.
  10. So im a Combat Medic in the OH Army National Guard and this past weekend (Thurs-Sun), we spent some time in the field at Camp Atterbury IN getting ready for our upcoming Deployment. Lucky for me, i got to go spend some time with our Snipers who were nice enough to let me get some trigger time on all 3 of their rifles. 1 of which being the Barrett 50cal sniper rifle. Let me tell you this much, that rifle will put some hair on your balls lol. I was like a kid in a candy shop the whole time i was out there shooting. Let me remind you that im a medic so we dont usually get to fire the big toys like that so it was great and i even hit the targets from 500m out. Not bad.

So last June, i threw a rod in my stock MX6 motor. After mths of saving i finnaly got my hands on a JDM KLZE engine and took it to KNR up in Westerville for the swap. The guy there quoted me at a great deal and got to work on the car. After a couple day job turned into weeks i finnaly got my car back. Only problem is he put the A-spec intake manifold on the ZE engine, causing it to idle terrible and making it pretty much undrivable. This was against my wishes but he says that the JDM IM wouldnt fit properly. After more mths of sitting in the garage and a move down to Grove City, i found IPS motorsports and contacted them to fix this guys mistake. Along with swapping the IM, VAF, and ECU, they also are spicing up the engine appearance w/powder coated Valve covers and IM. They are now in the process of getting it all pieced together properly and i cant wait to get the car back since i havnt gotten to drive it since last June. Pics will be posted of the nice job IPS is doing as soon as i got the keys to the mazda again.
  12. Car 93 Mazda Mx6 ls Mods JDM motor swap, stage 2 clutch, lw flywheel, headers, exhaust, cai, etc. Usage Street/DD Goals reliable and fun street car
  13. Yea there is aftermarket for the car, most of it tho is ebay parts. Turbos are all ebay as well unless u piece one together. its a fun little car tho especially for a daily driver. and shawn89, i see that u have an 88 5.0. my first car was an 87lx. too bad it was a 4cyl lol. i love the fox bodies tho. hope to see it around.
  14. thx for all the "welcomes" from everyone. i look forward to meeting and seeing your cars at sum local meets.
  15. Gearhead-the motor was swapped for a JDM KLZE motor and is having sum engine bay touch ups done before being put back on the streets. Not stock but clean, no flashy body kit 4 foot tall spoilers on this car lol. Tbutera2112-no i didnt paint the sun roof. its one of the few cars that come w/a hard top sun roof. I love it. and to the others, yea iv had fuzzy dice in my car since my first car so its kinda a goof thing. and honestly NO there isnt a rly big aftermarket for this car making it harder to modify than other cars. part of the challenge tho. Thanks for the invites tho everyone.
  16. Thx, its not bad for being a 93. not too many of them seen on the streets either.
  17.
