  1. I miss going 10s, but that was getting expensive. It's not like you can't still go fast, or faster I smell Ray brewing up a troll attempt anyway, so I'm just going to play along anyway. BTW who didn't school Paul out on the highway?
  2. I tried telling his dad that 2 years ago when you could see the fuel vapor behind the car going down the track.
  3. Doc talked a little about Lotus when he had his Elise, said that once Toyota was on board with the powertrain they were very reliable, before that not so much. I thought the Elise was a great little car, but I can see not liking the power as there really isn't a lot. Not sure what I'd suggest, that's why I have a powerful Camaro and a great handling Miata. You have to spend more then I have in both cars to get the same levels of performance of both.
  4. I like the one without the plow, it might be worth it to me since I have a parts truck I'm driving already.
  5. Thanks Rocky, good info. I take it the trucks are pretty well taken care of?
  6. Couldn't have said it better. A two line intro isn't going to get you past the intro section.
  7. Haha smartass, obviously it wasn't backed up, but I have finally stepped up to an android smartphone with gmail, ha
  8. So yesterday I ruined my cell phone, and I didn't have any of my contacts backed up. If you have my number text me your name so I can rebuild. If you want to talk shit I busted my computer too so does anyone know where to get the screen half of a Dell Inspiron Mini netbook?
  9. Hey dumbass, thats Richard Pyor. and thats not even an actor :dumb:
  10. Now thats super impressive. :fuckyeah:
  11. If it were me, I'd do all stock stuff and some drop knuckles. All OE ride quality, no poly bushings to start squeaking, lots of options if you want to do something else later. The rear I'd do whatever to get the look you want, it's not like the stock leaf spring suspension is something special.
  12. If you can't get it into gear with the vehicle off something is likely wrong with the shift fork or something inside the transmission. If the clutch or hydrolics are bad the gears should at least grind with the engine running and go in with it off. I'm not familiar with Jeeps in general but it sure sounds like a gear box issue.

    Hello

    Hello

Well let me welcome you, but that intro will not get you on the site. Please post some pictures and tell us about your car. I'm sure we've met, are you Dave with silver C3? Lets straighten this intro up and get you on CR.
  15. Yeah I dred when people come in with HVAC issues, I'd rather pull an engine sometimes. Some of the newer GM cars you have to completly remove the entire dash, steering column, and remove the whole HVAC unit from the vehicle in order to repair anything on it. You should see a customer's face when you tell them it will cost them 10 hours labor to get their heat to work again. I've had Equinoxs and Cobalts out of warranty that had to pay over $1000 for heat. You're better then most doing it yourself.
  16. You're stuck pulling the k-member. You can't get the pick-up tube out of the way so you'd have to get as much clearence as the tube is deep, I think the tube is about 8 inches or so deep. If you find a way to sneak the pan out of there I'd love to know.
  17. Cool, congrats on fixing your shit.
  18. Does the fan work normally? It could do something goofy like that if the fan was bound up, but it's likely just a relay.
  19. Wow the big patch of randomly greener land really gives it away.
  20. Not sure what that car is valued at, but my first thought when I looked at the pic was no. Values might get close, you'll have to wait and see.
  21. Those have a twin I-beam style front suspension so when the ride height is changed the camber changes pretty drastically when compared to other types of suspension. Not sure if just using the camber sleeves would correct it enough for much of a change in ride height, but the camber adjustment is done by replacing the sleeve that the ball joint fits in. The different sleeves are different offsetting of the hole that the ball joint sits in causing the camber change. Here's a good picture that shows how the spindle attaches and how it will change so much as the suspension moves up and down because it moves in an arc not up and down. http://image.4wheeloffroad.com/f/31877653/131_1104_06_o+131_1104_ford_ranger_buyers_guide+twin_traction_beam.jpg
  22. Tire Discounters was one place I worked that really wasn't bad, I only quit based on never having a day off and being on the complete other side of town. I was stuck working open to close 6 days a week because they couldn't get another tech. I hope it works out for you and I'm sure it will because I beleive it to be a lot nicer place to work then NTB.
