Just put a pump in it, when you drop the tank make sure everything is clean and looks to be in proper working order, get a new fuel sock if the pump doesn't come with one, and change the fuel filter outside the tank while you're at it. Double check the wiring on top of the tank while its out too. You're working on an older vehicle so make sure you're avoiding issues that could bite you in the future. If you don't get right around 60 psi all the time either your fuel pump is taking a shit (usually the problem) or something is clogged, and since the fuel pressure isn't low all the time its the pump.

Were the factorys HIDs? Sorry I'm not up on my Audi.

I've done similar on my Dad's old Mustang, the f-body doesn't have much room and when the torque arm is off the whole housing rolls around. Its not the easiest.

Find out the bolt size and there are a few places in town that will likely have the bolt you require. Roush hardware in westerville is a great nut and bolt place with the largest selection of any hardware store, or for hard to find metric stuff Metro Industries on Goodale is an excellent place. Obviously finding one at a dealer would be best since you know it'll be the right size and grade of bolt.

I dropped the whole rearend when I did mine, its not fun but easier to deal with the center section/ torque arm mess.
