I'd be leary of transmissions over 130-150k, the tranny is deff the weak point. The wheel bearings suck, and they will leak coolant from the little bypass tubes because some dumbass engineer decided to run coolant through the alternator bracket (really a pretty easy fix). The engines are great. We bought our N/A 3800 Impala with 30k and it now has 170k, basic maintenance, a radiator, a MAF, and a tranny (just 6 months ago), and it's still running good.

I've seen c-notches in trucks, but this is ridiculas.

Maybe you should try selling auto parts. I didn't mind it so much, but I'm not really a people person and I like working on cars better. Dave Gill has been looking for people in the parts department, and we're going to be needing people all over the place if we keep growing and firing people.

So if this is the case what kind of AFR makes power? How far off is it? I would think that it could just be done in lambda and wouldn't change much? I've heard that E85 likes to make power at a richer lamda then it would on gas, what kind of variance could be expected?

I need a "I built this car and it's a big pile of fail" thread. It doesn't 60', ET, or MPH. I have a bunch of custom built parts that add up to shit, wow. It's a damn good thing my job is taking care of people's daily drivers, and keeping them running well. All my car does well is run quiet, smooth, and comfortable.

Take it apart and figure that shit out. I don't know whats wrong with it, but it's a simple machine and you know how its supposed to work. Fix it.

Search LS1tech, because I'm pretty sure you can use a certain truck alternator, you just can't use the bolt in the back.

Alternators for f-bodys ain't cheap, if you can buy something better then $170 at Advanced for a new Delco, then do it. I checked at work and my cost for one was over $200.
