  1. It's a shame there aren't better cable techs out there. I got lucky the second time I had Time Warner out and got a tech who knew what the hell he was doing. Guy was here for over an hour re-doing every connection between the street and my box, stuff has worked good ever since. Hopefully you'll get someone with a clue out there.
  2. So glad to get out of the house. I know a few more of you can get out.
  3. I working on the Lexus in my rearveiw mod.
  4. I just texted Chad and he doesn't want to go, but I will. You want to start a thread?
  5. Are you driving? If you drive I'll go where ever.
  6. Shall I text Chad and see if he's down? tonight might be good.
  7. CJ OMally's pub in Pataskala has a Dominos next door and has a window into the bar. Not the greatest thing in the world but I'm lazy and I like the bar.
  8. Randy is BigHairDryer, so your answer is no not really. I'm going to assume your truck doesn't have a TCM needing separate calibration, hence I'm no other help.
  9. most weeknights she is off, like M-Th this week, typically she works Fri-Sun nights unless she is covering for someone
  10. whenever, so long as Tricia isn't working I'm game, boredom sucks
  11. yeah I've applied at both, had an interveiw with UPS last week, nothing has come of that yet, we'll see. Trying to get on at O'reilly's, but I'm still waiting on a second interveiw. Can't say I'm not trying.
  12. I'm good, not doing much. Been looking for a job, and trying to keep my sanity. Bored most of the time.
  13. Too bad, hopefully the use of the G8 platform will make its way over to Chevy. The rest of the cars are either so similar to Chevy as it is or they're junk. The other cool cars they had are already dead, so while I'll miss the nameplate it doesn't really make much difference.
  14. You might be surprised how much of that can be eliminated with some tuning in the transmission and converter tables. There are more then a few reasons this happens, mine would do the same thing if I try to lock the converter up under 50 with light throttle. Unfortunatly most tuners seem to spend all their time on the engine controls, and most tuning issues with autos is all in the trans settings. I can't tell you how many cars I've been in that slam gears, short shift, or bounce of the rev limiter. Just another reason I keep telling you to start tuning yourself, nobody is going to put the kind of time in that you will to get it right.
  15. I'm currently trying to get on at O'Reilly's, one of my friends manages the High St store. Other then that I'm not sure. I'm just lucky that my wife doesn't care about the money much at all, so long as the bills keep getting paid.
  16. Sure I'd do that, I'm always bored anymore. Hopefully I can find a job soon.
  17. That's cool, I take it that is a total stand alone? I would gladly help with that.
  18. Lulz, somebody said they don't make the AEM system anymore and you'd have to get it used, any truth to that?
  19. boredom sucks, did you figure out what you're going to do next on the "stupid C" 300 next?
  20. I forgot all about your new converter, yes it works great. Drives as good as my 3000 did.
  21. I'll be finding out first hand this spring, I don't think it'll be all bad playing with the lock up function and holding 3rd at lower speeds if I have to but we'll see. I'm running a smaller cam and my car doesn't see it's real torque band until 4000 so I'm not going to cut down on my stall. I've been in a few 3500-3600 stall cars and I think they drive fine and how well it does on the street is just a matter of good tuning and opinion.
  22. Personally I'd lean towards a 4000, but I would keep the STR down closer to 2.0. Not all converters are created equal and doing your homework will pay dividends. There is lots of info on LS1tech, but my opinion would be somewhere between a loose 3500 or a tight 4000. When you have a clue what I'm talking about start making phone calls to people who make converters.
