  1. and this is the professional's answer. While I couldn't remember the specifics of Brady's set-up, it is deffinetly a great benchmark and an excellent place to tune were the results are both accurate and repeatable. I beleive DynoTune Motorsports to also be accurate and repeatable. The two companies are great resources for the tuning market in central Ohio. The Dynos are different and as such the their readings are slightly different, but both places are well maintained with quality equipment and people. The Cordell's Seal of Approval may not mean much to most of you and I'll bet my knowledge of tuning doesn't mean much either, but if you don't beleive the things you read here go get a book. Tuning in afr can be just as accurate depending on the wideband being used. In my case the whole reason Innovate calls it the LC1 is because it's a lambda cable and when setting it up the calibration is set for the lambda of 1 to equal an afr of 14.63, and you'll end up with the same results.
  2. I guess you need to either learn to fix them, or make real good friends with someone who can.
  3. Dude has it occured to you that you're beating on it too hard?
  4. Let me make a pass or three, and I can be your bitch.
  5. not surprised in the least, next...........
  6. Okay well lambda is very easy to understand as a lambda of 1 is stoiciometric, and a richer percentage like say .88 which is my target also being 12.8. People should also realize that EQ Ratio (which is the inverse of Lambda) is also a neccesary measurement in most modifier tables which would be 1.14 here again stoiciometric would still be 1. So realisticly you tune in both lambda and EQ Ratio. Lambda is used because it is easily calculated into a correction factor, and more importantly most widebands being "Lambda meters" will give you an accurate measurement of mixture. Most people think of stoich as simply 14.63 or 14.67 afr, this is not entirely accurate depending on the real life fuel being burnt because octane rating, ethanol content, and many other things will contribute into what actual Lambda is. EQ Ratio is used as correction factors because in many cases it is the only accurate way of modifying the final fueling tables.
  7. Not like I've ever seen you out. I know you're busy and all
  8. What is it you wish to discuss? Your wall of a post looks like its directly out of many books I've read on the subject. As for your interest in widebands, I've been on both Dyno Brian's dyno with his sniffer and on Pick-ups Plus' dyno with their wideband directly into the exhaust stream. Comparing both to my Innovate that stays on my car, both were extremely close to the reading of my Innovate, I have logs and dyno sheets to show it. Dyno Brian's vacuum pump seems to work fine, especially since he keeps up on the maintenence, and Pick-ups Plus calibrates their wideband before each use. So if you want to knitpick widebands don't waste your time, my $200 Innovate LC-1 was very close to both only reading a lambda of .89 when both dynos showed .88 . Tuning the air fuel to the rich best torque for safety is common practice, injecting more fuel then needed to insure all oxygen molecules get burned. Each car being different and boosted cars (of which I have no experience) typically requiring more fuel. Tuners have their own motivations for their target lambda.
  9. You want a 400ex? I'm not too serious, I won't have it free and clear for a couple months but I need a new truck. Looks like a good deal.
  10. Ricers paint their fucking calipers some dumbass color, people don't even know mine are painted but it looks clean. Black FTW.
  11. Finally hit an 11.98 on motor.
  12. What year CTS-v? One of the new ones?
  13. I used to think I wanted a blower, then I messed with Anthony's car. Yes and yes.
  14. sleep loose ginger boy
  15. The old guy working there was pretty cool last week. For those of you that don't know he fills nitrous bottles. I froze my bottle and he got a little extra into it. Told me exactly how much, charged $4 a pound, and was much better to deal with then the loosers at Jegs. Check it out for your bottle fills.
