  1. Yeah I got transfered from Canal Winchester recently. I'm always glad to help out Doc. I wish all my customers were more like you, get a little harrasment, give a little harrasment, show them a good deal and everybodys happy.
  2. Played the shit outta their self titled CD when i was a teenager. Now it seems a little soft, seeing as how I'm constantly angry anymore, but still good stuff.
  3. Cleaned it a couple times, and really well before final assembly.
  4. What? stick crush sleeve in press and crush very slightly? We may have to work something out.
  5. all I'm gonna do is throw a pinion bearing and race in it, pinion seal, crush collar, and cover seal. The thing is hardly making noise, and i mean barely. I'm going to buy the whole kit, but those are the only parts I'm gonna use.

  7. No they are timkins, I'm not that cheap. I doubt the wheel hop is helping. You want to replace the front pinion bearing and race for me? I don't want to.

  11. It's just a love hate relationship. It does me good, then something else gives me issues. Mine will be sitting if this rear gets anymore play in it.
  12. Oil it self looked pretty good as it drained and I caught some, oil pressure has been rock solid, staying over 40 psi according to the stock gauge.

  14. My fucking Camaro is wearing me out, between the new engine, going through and replacing the trans, and tuning all with in the last 2 months I'm getting worn out. So today I changed the oil http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?p=992160#post992160 , and find out that my pinion is getting play in it, not the u-joints that are original 60k mile parts, the fucking pinion I just rebuilt last year. I know I'm hard on parts and had to learn as I went, but goddamn. Fucking speakers are blown in the car, rims are starting to corrode pretty good now, and the damn thing is pissing me off. I AM NOT GOING TO THE TRACK ANYMORE THIS YEAR!! fuck it. When I replace the rear, rims, eliminate this fucking wheel hop problem, and upgrade the fuel system I just might think about it. Such a long hard road to get where I want to be with the car. Share your car rant.
  15. I've changed my oil for the second time in the Camaro since I got it running, total about 1000 miles, 500 per change. Just using conventional oil nothing special. The little bit of metal particles is really bothering me. The first oil change there was some and I don't want to say a lot of really fine metal on the magnetic plug, today for the second time there was far less but there was still some there. I took the filter apart and there was some faint sparkle, not much, but caught in the filter media (most of which is just from cutting the filter open). I cleaned the engine multiple times during assembly, and checked all the clearences, some twice. Car runs great, very smooth (well as good as any cammed engine can). This just bugs the shit out of me. Any one want to put in their 2 cents?

  21. K&N is what like $40 or more dollars, paper is like $5. That's 8 filters, what's the advantage again? edit: I forgot to mention the $15 cleaner and oil they want you to use.
  22. QFT, I beleive this to be true, at least on LS1 f-bodys. Considering my car is speed density you'd think it would see more air and run a slightly leaner A/F, nope. Not to mention I've made passes both ways a few years ago, fuck cleaning the K&N, it ain't worth it.
