  1. nope, no specific plan for my use. A "techie play thing" accurately describes my thought process for it.
  2. Also interested - though it looks like smccrory is in line ahead of me.
  3. Assuming dry weather and mid-40's or warmer for the temperature, I plan on showing up.
  4. In my non-qualified medical opinion, the rider has some form of cranial-rectal inversion - the most common inversion being fecal encephalitis . I base this diagnosis on the observed symptoms (from video in the first post) of verbal diarrhea and questionable decision making skills. The recommended treatment is quarantine from the driving populace for 10-12 weeks, a minimum of 24 months of usurious insurance rates, and if the patient absolutely must travel via motorized 2-wheeled vehicle, that vehicle should be a Ruckus (or possibly a Grom if good behavior) after the 9-month mark assuming completions of BRC-I and BRC-RR.

    Hi all

    Hello from another Cleveland west-sider!
  6. I have an interest in one of these, not necessarily for a tire change but for the meet/greet part and getting the bike out for a post-winter shakedown ... assuming schedules align properly.
  7. I'm thinking I will be able to appear at this shindig, though I do have something later in the afternoon back in Cleveland. I didn't notice a "show up no earlier than xx:xx" time. Was there anything specific in that regard determined yet?
  8. mark me down for the slow group (it was plenty fast for my bike and its rider) also: thanks derek for tackling the P.I.T.A. that I imagine organizing these rides to be
  9. At first glance, I read "50th EPIC OHIO RIDE" due to the relative positions of the 5 and the "O" on the flag Still, it looks good even though my brain fart tried to confuse things.
  10. Have some interest in stuffing more knowledge into my head. Should the day and time that are eventually chosen fit into my schedule, then I'd do my best to show up.
  11. Do you just need one item from the picture? The banana phone, The name/title plate, The rifle, The artillery shells, or All of the Above?
  12. Didn't feel too cold on the ride back to Cleveland - an overwhelming urge to urinate combined with every expansion joint and bump in the road distracted me quite successfully from the chill. The fog in the morning though... I think I would have preferred the just-short-of-a-monsoon I rode in when I had to get home from a Labor Day camping excursion near Zanesville.
  13. In this instance, I think it best to use the "I wasn't thinking clearly" defense, or perhaps if something is said without hesitation and enough conviction, an untruth will be the truth. I had even convinced myself of it at the moment. Fortunately, independent verification can let us know when one starts making stuff up. As for the other news, the Slab was likely a smaller percentage of my ride... Kamm's Corners to Lodi in the morning on I-71 and then from Coshocton taking OH-16 to I-77 and I-480 to just get the F#*% home in the evening.
  14. Had a great time on my first Epic Ride. I left the house at 6:10am and returned at 9:05pm with 518 additional miles on the odometer. Fighting the fog on Rt 83 from Lodi to Coshocton was certainly worth the effort. Learned a few things about the limits of myself and about my machine. Many thanks to Derek, Wolfman and all Leads/Sweeps for taking on the organizational PITA side of things so that the rest of us could have a wonderful day. Also, thanks to Al Z Heimer (I think) for some useful advice in the parking lot prior to starting.
  15. I thought I saw a suspicious white scrape mark on the pavement in that clip and then had the thought... "how did that get there?" Definitely was not leaned over far enough to be a footpeg. Side-stand though, that fits the visual evidence.
  16. Add my name to the 7:00am start-point meeting.
  17. One XL Shirt please. pm & paypal sent.
  18. I'm in. Put my placeholder in one of the slower groups.
  19. That's one impressive wall of Jargon. I was doing ok navigating through that mess right up until the laughing began and I could no longer concentrate. Bravo.

    Riders Down

If that is, in fact, your thumb, and the swelling hasn't gone down yet, you may want to consider a chat with a Urologist.... or at least take it easy on the blue pills.
  21. 1: Hard to have weight down low when 2-up. 2: Looks like that semi driver earned his money when swerving completely off the right side.
  22. I'm liking the way that looks... It might even be a Harley I would want to buy. That being said, the quantity of money I'm willing to part with is probably nowhere even close to the hypothetical MSRP.
  23. Silver lining 1: I was expecting an ill-advised fistful of throttle to put him into or over the car 10 feet in front of him - that did not happen. therefore... Silver lining 2: If he wasn't already in the "those who have dropped a bike" category, he moved himself out of the "those who will..." category with little or no bodily injury. however... Not-so-silver lining 1: There is video evidence and it is on the Internet. therefore... Not-so-silver lining 2: With friends like those, I would expect that Pride and/or Ego may develop a repetitive stress injury.
