i only gave you my opinion.  i wasn't trying to tell you what to do, only my what my concerns would be if i was running 5~8 seconds slower per lap than the rest of the field and a 45+ mphs speed differential (and that's just the 600's... the fast liter bikes run faster lap times and and as you say, hitting 175mph+ on the back straight probably).  i'm sure you're fast in the corners, and i hope you pass me around the outside, giving me the finger.  maybe i'll learn something.

I'm just talking smack to pass time........I'm running in the I group just because I like being the fastest slow guy....lol

Sam runs A on his 250, I don't see the issue. If you can't tell your coming up on a dirtbike or 250 maybe people need to be looking further down track.

I've just finished installing a new R&D motor so I may hit 125-130mph now....lol

last weekend at nelson guys were running 154mph while I was running 115-120mph in I group.....would you trust I group running at 150-160mph or A group running 175mph????....lol

i'm sure there are A guys running slower times, but i'd be more worried about closing speeds on the back straight.  maybe talk to todd karam about it and see what he thinks.  i don't know if I'd want 600's and 1000's bearing down at me at 150 mph while relatively putting around at 110ish, but i can see why you'd want to get away from I group.

The speed difference will be quite large.  I leave it to someone else to say since I have only done 3 track day sessions and 2 dry races.

What is the slowest time that would be somewhat safe in Advance group at Beaver???? 1:10's too slow in Advance with top speed 115mph????

I'll be there in Vintage classes and a carrot in the 250 superbike class on the cr500 motard....also the trackday too.

Dont get passed by dirtbikes!

Get a camera mount that doesn't have Parkinson's^3.

When your boot hooks up on your rearset, worry about staying on the track first and the boot second. lol

 

Seriously looking good out there man...for a first day in I you cannot ask for more.

Get some track fairings for that beast at a minimum.

Don't feel bad about being passed by dirtbike......I think there was a lot of them who got passed by a cr500!!!! lol  Keep working at being smooth and you'll get faster.....
