At the earliest, if you're prepping for novice there.  If he gets there taped off and ready to go, no need to leave Coolville at 4 in the morning.  *Correction* Tech is officially open from 6:45-8.  I've been rolling in at 7 or 7:30, but there has been skechy weather both days this year, so maybe they let tech drag on longer because of that.  You going to be there ,Todd, and embarrass the supersports on your dirtbike?

  2. I hate to be that guy, anyone else watching the weather as closely as I am?  I'm still a little up in the air.  Probably decide late Sunday or early Monday.  Been to Mid Ohio twice this year and been rained on both days, it's looking decent now, but I don't want to make it 3 for 3.  On the plus side, my new (not totally beat to hell) leathers came in, so I will feel much better in the tech line now!

Got the "good" news.  My suit will be done next week, so no riding for me on Monday.  I have plans to stop in and say hi to everyone, but I don't know if I can take being there and not riding.  Going to shoot for Mid-O on 7/10 or PittRace on 7/14, depending on how quick my suit gets here.

I'll probably be seeing you on the 10th.

    The non yutugg method.

Feel free to follow yutugg if you wish

Went for a ride with Dad yesterday.  First thing he says is, "I've been working on my wheelies".  He loves doing them now.  Is disappointed he can't hold them for long, but I think he'll get it before too long.

  5. Cycle Gear opened up a shop in Columbus this weekend and I stopped by today.  Pretty small, by Pony standards, but they had a nice selection of helmets, jackets, leathers, some parts and tools, etc.  (only saw K&N filters :challengeaccepted:) I tried on a set of AlpineStars Missile leathers that fit well and bought some base layer pants and shirt.  I talked with the manager there and they offer discounts for recent "graduates" of the state safety program of 10 or 15% and a better set of pricing for coaches.  Pretty cool.  She seems real interested and able to beat Pony pricing or take back returns from stuff ordered online.  Still probably continue to work with RidersDiscount for a lot of stuff but its good know there is another player in town, I'll be back.

They do host bike nights semi regularly, based on their location, I wonder what that'll be like!  I sense a new meet spot for acceleration testing.

When I was getting set to leave, a contingent from Columbus Riders showed up, first Pani V4 I'd seen in the wild, an S1000RR, and a couple ZX-10s.
