Thanks @DerekClouser for bringing some buddies out to take pics and video.

This weekend is the first round in the OMRL Race Series! Should be an excellent weekend, practice today, racing tomorrow. As always, I have two bikes and if you want to check it out and run a few laps, you can take my bike out or if you want to race we can work it out. No cost other than your race license ($10-40), your first race with the club is free! I'll be at Circleville Raceway Park around noon with some other OR members to practice and make sure I can still fit into my leathers... Come out and say hey. These bikes are indestructible and I don't mind watching it skid across the track if the rear lets loose from all that powa!
Real friendly atmosphere, everyone is on the same page and willing to help folks get their bikes sorted and ready to race.

I mean, I passed Gavin once. On my GSXR 1000.
He was screwing around on a 50 at G&J a couple years ago and I was on my 100, trying to race. It sucks being slow...

The number 802 was simply the next free number IEEE could assign, though “802” is sometimes associated with the date the first meeting was held — February 1980
@what is that where it came from? Nerrrrrrrd.

Regarding the 3rd question, at MidOhio if you bring the family, there is lots of room to wander around. The infield is open and grassy, trees, bridges, etc to keep people occupied. The pits are fun, cool bikes to look at, friendly people, chill out and read a book in the stands over the garages. It's mostly riders, but plenty of significant other and offspring hang around.
Tons of Daytonas at the track, bring yours.

I have not listened to any Martin Logans, closest dealer to me didn't respond to a demo request.

That's not a bad idea at all. I know he was thinking brand spanking new, but for a more reasonable investment, he could get a real taste for that style bike without much risk of losing his ass if/when he decides to sell.

Mike probably doesn't sell many Supertech R boots and Harley parts in the same order...

You'll be needing a sub-woofer with the magnepans. An electronic cross-over to adjust the roll off for the sub and a multi amp set up would be a nice touch. No real recommendation on the brand of equipment you should get but it's worth thinking about in the final design. Looking for a nice turntable?
Have a decent sub now, but will probably end up with a JL for the room if we feel it needs one. I don't listen to much low bass heavy music, so it it'll be a secondary priority.
You have a table available?

Welcome, come on out for the OR gettogether at Mid ohio on July 2.

Awesome man, big room is a necessity with these things as I understand it. Our space now is decent, but in the next couple years we'll be putting a proper room onto the house. I bought a Musical Fidelity M6si last summer. Figured I could add the small equipment slowly, and enjoy it now, and add the Maggie's last.
My nearby Magnepan dealer also recently got Goldenear, haven't heard them yet, but I just can't get over the feel of Magnepan. Katie was a fan of the Paradigms for movie stuff, but for music it was pretty clear for us the direction we were headed.

Haha I know audio is not everyone's hobby, but I thought there might be a few enthusiasts on here. Can get them new, and a few used pairs in neighboring states, but OR is always better.
-
Putting feelers out there. Not dying to buy at the moment, but it's in the plan and if someone had a pair to let go for the right price, I'm game for a conversation. Obviously willing to travel, demo, and just listen to some tunes.
Listened to the 3.7i and 1.7i in store quite a few times, buddy has an older pair of MGIIIs that we've listened to extensively and got me interested in the sound. Katie is totally on board. Best girl ever?!?! Clearly the answer is yes.

Dogs are good, our guy was fast asleep, the neighbor's shepherds went ballistic last night. It wasn't Dad, but they were probably alerting on something, four legged critter or otherwise.
-
Best first post ever? Thanks dad, glad it wasn't crackheads. Just you and mom... still getting a camera though. I'll be able to post your back yard mudding adventures for all to see next time!

I would recommend motion activated lights and some cheap camera system. You can also get one of those driveway motion detectors that sets off a chime in the house when someone crosses a certain threshold.
I've seen those nest things that link to my wifi and smartphone? Thoughts on stuff like that?

Do you prefer large or small caliber?
Always said a pump action 12 gauge would be the right choice. But I gotta know they are there first...

Someone tried to break into my building last night. Katie heard some people talking last night but didn't see anything. I woke up to tire tracks through my yard backing right up to my shop. Can't have that. Solutions? Yes, I have mass amount of light back there.
-
I'd agree with that, at least. Rode the absolute hell out of Izzy today. Little chilly still, but well worth it.

Ok, class got moved from the June 2/3rd dates. I'm 99.99% in for Pitt. Wait a bit for the weather to help decide, but man, I need to do this track on a not busted CBR. Woohoo!! Thanks @alex for posting this up.

Lowsides from too much lean angle and improper weight distribution I think. I tucked the front in that one, probably not pushing hard enough with my inside hand and too much lean.
