  1. Well I kinda forgot I am busy Sunday, my mom's 50th birthday party. Saturday is showing an early afternoon showers. I will see if the forecast changes and post up later this evening.
  2. One of the 2 days I will probably ride up to Iron Pony. I need to look for some cold weather gloves.
  3. So...Is anyone coming down to the good SEO roads this weekend or am I gonna have them all to myself?
  4. As some of you know, my dad and I change motorcycle tires. We have changed roughly 50 or so this year and have seen some real sketchy tires, but this one takes the cake. The owner ran the tire until it wore through chords and blew out at about 50 mph. It took both lanes for him to get the bike slowed down. Luckily no traffic. The owner is currently going through a divorce and was strapped for cash so he couldn't afford a tire, but instead of just parking the bike, he kept riding. Luckily his coworker gave him a decent used tire and we installed it. Regardless, risking your life to get a little more miles out of a tire isn't worth it. I will gladly change a tire free of charge, and most likely even have a used tire to get you some more miles, if you need it. It's not worth getting hurt over or destroying your bike. I know many of us have rode tires down to chords, it's not a fun time.
  5. @RidersDiscount can hook you up with some awesome deals on riding pants. I got some Tourmaster Venture Air pants from him and they were a heck of a deal.
  6. I've been to Hatfield McCoy several times and I would want a dedicated dirt bike for it. You can get into some pretty nasty stuff down there.
  7. The members bikes is the right section,we just don't have too many photos in there.
  8. Anyone venturing down to SEO Saturday or Sunday this weekend? I got the weekend free and nothing planned.
  9. A buddy of mine had a G8 GT (L76 very similar to the LS3) and it was a blast. DOD wiped out a couple lifters so we did a TSP 220R cam swap in it. It made low 400s to the wheels if i recall. He also had a set of SLP rear muffler deletes, and it sounded nice.
  10. Did you get rid of the VFR?
  11. Pics or it didn't happen. I'm stuck here at work, wishing I was down there in the mountains riding, even if it does rain. You coming back up 16?
  12. You got this Jerry. Positive vibes going your way.
  13. Gave the FJR a day off. I think we both needed it. Installed the new back protector in my Aerostich.
  14. Oh yeah I heard of people waiting for months.
  15. Paperwork all done and submitted electronically. I knew if i didn't send it right away, I would procrastinate and never submit it, so I sat down while it was fresh in my mind and got it done.
  16. The FJR has been a great bike. Just turned 34k during this trip. Hopefully it will hit 100k someday.
  17. This was my first ride in the new Stich. I guess that's a good way to break it in
  18. Just got home. 1,060 miles. Actually got up early and left a little before 4am. St Louis traffic sucked and I got lost trying to get to the arch, but other than that, pretty uneventful. The new suit worked great, seat did it's job as well, no sore butt. My neck and shoulders are a different story.
  19. Tomorrow morning I am leaving for my first Iron butt Certification. I will be doing a Saddlesore 1000. Leaving Coolville and going to the Gateway Arch in St Louis, then turning around and coming back. Got all my documentation situated, bike is all ready to go, got my new Aerostich today and took it for a 25 mile test run (Also taking my old gear just in case). Packed some food in the tank bag, got the Camelbak for fluids, and the Garmin for GPS. I think I am ready to go. Now off to get some sleep for me. Leaving at 5am, hoping to avoid the night riding as much as possible. Below is my SPOT tracker page for tomorrow. http://share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp?glId=0V7ZlCxzdnSoREZdxDf6nb3yJdkhOAjzn
  20. I really like the section of 26 from 145 to Woodsfield. The section south of 800 is all under construction for a repave until you get close to Marietta and its brand new pavement.
