That's not a bad idea. I'll have to find something cheaper than the local Harley dealer where I took my initial class.

I did. Rode for about an hour. I am starting to get over the new rider jitters.

I used 4 hours and took an hour ride. I could have done more but my cold weather gear is a bit lacking.

I put in about 40 miles today. I froze my ass off but i had a smile on my face the whole time.

I called over there yesterday. They did have some agressive pricing on the bike that I checked. Might be able to get a deal if you are looking to buy something that they have in stock on the metric side. That being said Ask in Cbus was agressive in price matching as well if you want somebody who will still be around.

It figures that I would hear about this tne day after I buy a bike.

It's ironic that my $9 helmet from iron pony matches. That was not done on purpose. I plan to get a black full helmet.

I'll post as soon as the bike is delivered this week. My son took a few with my phone but he couldn't hold still long enough for the focus to work. He said that my ugly broke the camera. I picked up the graphite with the blurple wheels and frame. I wasn't sure that I liked that combo at first but it grew on me after a couple of trips to the dealership.

Hi Folks I have been on the forum for a little while asking questions so this is more of a reintroduction. I pulled the trigger on an end of the year deal on an FZ07 today. I'm looking forward to riding with the Columbus area members in a few months. Wojo72

I pulled the trigger on the FZ07 this afternoon. Went over the bike twice. I kicked in a a few bucks for them to deliver the bike so it will be in the garage in a few days. The buying process was easy. They tried to get me to buy an extended warranty and some insurance but didn't make a fuss when I declined. We'll see how well the bike holds up in the long run.

I have been to Iron Pony several times. They don't seem willing to haggle.

Has anybody had experience with them either good or bad? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a FZ07.

It looks like there is a show coming up in Jan 2015, Is this worth a 1.5 hour drive each way? I've been to plenty of car shows but the motorcycle scene is new to me. Thanks Wojo72

Any suggestion on how to track down end of year promotions? I've seen a couple listed on cycletrader. There have to be some deals out there since the riding season is winding down.

Was anybody there tonight? I was there until about 8:30. The crowd was mellow. I didnt get molested by any gay pirates. Got to look at a FZ09. I was disappointed that there weren'any Fz8s in attendance.

They had 2 of them. I looked at one of them on Sat. Before negotiations the new one in Tole do is cheaper with 0 miles.

The "deal" is about $6500 and change out the door for a "new" 2013. Iron Pony and another local (Columbus) dealer have used 2013 and 2011 models at that price.

Anybody own an FZ8? I found a potential deal on a 2013. This bike has 0 miles so it shouldn't have any issues. Decent all around bike?

What would you recommend in that price range for a newbie?

I found another one at Pony Motorsports with 2K miles for like $900 less. I'm looking for a bike that is mild enough for a beginner while being interesting enough that I won't want to trade it off for a loss in the spring.
