In this case I want the roads as I start to ride a little farther away from home. My Sprint service is hit or miss once I get outside of the Cbus metro area.

I've been playing around with an app called Navmii. It's available for both android and apple devices. The think that I like is that the maps are downloadable by state. This is good for people who have low data caps. I have unlimited data but I am thinking that it will be useful when I get out in the boonies and loose signal. Google maps does have the ability to cache maps but it's a pain in the rear. You can only download 50km x 50 km chunks. I don't have any skin in the game. I am just goofing off during my lunch hour.

I like the idea of having a rear view camera to eliminate blind spots. Maybe in a few years when the costs come down. I don't care so much about the HUD part. Has anyone tried the helmet with the rear view mirror built in?

Yes sir. That is correct. You can broadcast from a PC using Chrome if you want to but it's not a requirement. You do need a phone or tablet to use a remote if you aren't using the PC. If you want a dedicated remote then you need a Roku or Amazon device.

I have two Chromecast dongles. They work well. I use my android phone or tablet as the remote. It works well for Netflix and Hulu. If you are a Amazon prime customer you will probably want something else. I can stream amazon prime but I have to use my PC to do it. For Hulu and Netflix you don't need the PC. For the $25 each that I have invested I am happy.

Yes. That is very similar to what I have. It reminds me of a gym locker. It's not very thick steel but it does the trick unless your kid routinely uses a pry bar and hammer.

I have one of the cheapo stack on cabinets. I put a metal latch on it in addition to the built in lock. I put a combo lock so that if my kid grabbed my keys he wouldn't able to get in. It won't stop a determined thief but it might stop a smash and grab.
