  1. I will message/call the three posted above @Isaac's Papa when I get back in town. Which one would you rather spend the money one between the cannondale/mongoose/trek? I would like a bicycle to last for more than a year even if I do become serious about it. Need time to save up and motorcycling gets a lot of that extra money. I also have no time rush. I have had my experiences with rushing and need to think them through more.
  2. I am patient. Just wanted to make a post here since I know quite a few people ride and have more knowledge than I do. I also thought that a few more eyes may help spot a deal.
  3. What about something like this? https://columbus.craigslist.org/bid/5902569128.html
  4. I guess in my mind I was looking at the older Raleigh bikes and such. Older heavier bikes because they were cheaper. I can save up more money if need be but was not wanting to invest a lot at the start in case my desire fades away.
  5. I was only going off an online sizing guide. Like I said I am new to road bikes and know little. Any help is appreciated. I am looking on Craigslist currently as I am unaware of any shops which would have a bicycle at my price point.
  6. Looking for a 54-55cm road bike. This will be my first road bike. Not looking for something expensive but want something in well taken care of shape. Wanting to start riding multiple times a week. Looking to spend no more than 300$. If you know of anyone selling let me know. Any suggestions are welcome as I am new to road bicycling.
  7. Selling a Giant Boulder SE mountain bike. It is a 16in frame with Shinamo 21spd. No damage or anything. Needs a tune up as I just road it on and off for exercise. Looking for 75$ obo.
  8. I am honestly not really wanting too much for the bicycle. It is an older bicycle which was not a lot when I bought it many years ago.
  9. Wanting to let go of my mountain bike that I have. I am wanting to source a road bike to start riding and to help me stay motivated. Have never sold a bicycle through craigslist or anything so I thought about a bicycle shop. Anyone have any info? Anything would be appreciated.
  10. Amsoil synthetic for my car and motorcycle only anymore. I pay the premium but enjoy the results.

    NEO Dinner

I work that evening. Maybe next time.
  12. Brian, I am going to post this on the ninjette forum for you to see if anyone has them there. Let me know if you get any of the parts so we can check with each other.
  13. No worries, I will find some.
  14. Wondering if anyone here has any scrap metal I could take off there hands. I received a harbor freight welder last Christmas. It is still in the box as I have made many excuses to not put it together. I want to learn more than I know about welding but would like some scrap metal. If no one has any but knows where to find other than driving around and trash picking.
  15. Let me start off by saying this is not my bike. I am sharing this because I have watched this guy on Youtube for the past couple years. http://hackaweek.com/hacks/ is his website. You can watch the build videos of the bike if you want. May take you awhile but it is worth it. This bike would be awesome for someone on here. http://raleigh.craigslist.org/mcy/5740945477.html Hopefully someone picks it up as it would be pretty cool to see his bike at an epic ride.
  16. @whaler - I am not scared of what happened. Even after the incident I took a short breather to analyze what happened. After I cleared my mind I continued to ride the ride and nothing has changed there. I know the risks of riding a motorcycle and they do not scare me. @jschaf - I had to brake hard because my friend was in the lead and I was behind him. If I did not brake I would have rear ended him and caused a major accident between two motorcycles and 4 vehicles. I chose the action which I thought would get all of us out alive. Granted that action happened after I made the choice to pass. I do agree that I would have gassed it instead of braking but in the heat of the moment your thoughts are not as clear as they should be. Thanks for all the kind words about the experience. Was not expecting people to share similar experiences. Glad that this community of people has open minds about actions and choices.
  17. I honestly do not know how my friend or I rode away from this but I am glad we did. My pants will forever be stained brown.
  18. I have been pondering all day as to whether or not I wanted to make a post about this because it is the internet. I know I will get harped on for my choice/decision that I made. Putting that all aside I am posting because I have ridden with a handful of you and met others. I want others to learn from my mistake and to not repeat what took place. Backstory: Decided to go on a ride with a close friend of mine who I am very comfortable riding with. We both enjoy getting lost and just going out and riding. It had been one hell of a day already with many oddball events taking place. Rode in heavy dense fog/mist, took a wrong turn and went off roading, almost ran out of gas, and just had an all around oddball good day. Now, in the middle of our day we were on a nice curvy road which got slowed down by three vehicles. We were following them for a while even though we knew we wanted to make a pass. Coming out of a right handed turn into a long straight to which I was behind my friend a few car lengths behind the last vehicle. At that very moment we both made the choice to drop a few gears and make a three vehicle pass. We could see a long distance ahead to which there were no vehicles coming towards us. We did not see the road slightly curve to where the incident happened. The curve was not the issue but the 1500 Dodge Ram that appeared as we were speeding excessively past the vehicles was. We were approaching the rear of the front vehicle when we knew we did not have enough time to make the pass. My friend hit the front brakes hard to slow the speed to get in behind the front vehicle. This action caused me to brake hard, very hard and by the time I was at a reasonable speed the next thing I saw was a brown blur going by my left side as I was in the middle of the two lanes. Luckily no one was hurt or any accidents were caused. I blame no one but myself for the choice I made at that moment to pass when I was not 100% that I could make it safely. This may change the way people think of me or my riding skills. I want people to know that everyone is human and we all make choices which impact others and ourselves. I never thought I would think in a moment that I was going to die but that moment on Monday 9/19/16 will forever be the day I realize how my choices impact life. I know that passing one car is the safest pass to be made if a pass is needed. I should have just slowed down and enjoyed the scenery. I knew what I was doing was dangerous. I had to post no matter what is said by the audience because it is a lesson for me to offer to you.
  19. A little late here but no I did not get out to ride for this. Had some stuff come up and was not able to respond to this.
  20. Since I did not get to go on the unofficial epic ride this year due to work and the rain I am thinking of just riding down Rt. 83 to New Concord and then riding back up home. This is more for the NE Ohio people but if anyone wants to ride that morning you are more than welcome to ride along. Leaving early say 7am and thinking of being back around lunch. I thought I would toss this out there even though most of you work in the week. I just really love Rt. 83 and have not ridden it enough this year so it is needed.
  21. It will be the first time I step into your group so until I learn what the pace is I will hang back. Granted this is even if work pans out but so far it looks good.
