  1. I just wanted to share my experience on this section of road. Rt. 555 (The Triple Nickel) from Chesterhill to Zanesville could be one of the worst roads I have every ridden. I know that this is not the entire Rt. 555 but it is part of it. I spent more time worried what was around the blind turn or over that hill since everything is poorly marked. Rocks/gravel flood the road and make your butt clench more than anything. If you do plan to ride this road please be careful, take your time, and hold on. I will never ride this road again as I have found better roads else where. Just thought you all may want to hear my thoughts. Here is the section I did: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Chesterhill/39.9107592,-82.0053882/@39.6965512,-82.0997083,10.96z/data=!4m14!4m13!1m10!1m1!1s0x8848162aad094005:0x3d5dee02584069e6!2m2!1d-81.8659707!2d39.4884055!3m4!1m2!1d-82.013768!2d39.6160956!3s0x88481b668a1faf8d:0x71092e6edaf7877d!1m0!3e0
  2. I did have a nice ride and also bought quite a bit of gear. It was a good day.
  3. Just thought I would let people know that I will be heading to Columbus and making my way to Iron Pony on 05/23/16 which is Monday. It is supposed to be 75-80 degrees out that day and I need some new gear. May be riding around the Columbus area afterwards and thought maybe some of you guys would want to have a little meet up. If not no worries as Iron Pony is a candy store. Also, if anyone from the NE wants to tag a long I am planning to take RT. 3 down from Medina.
  4. I like that. Now you have me thinking. Thanks.
  5. Alright, I will look at them again. Thanks.
  6. I have a set of Sedici Toscana Saddlebags that I am wanting to mount to my FZ6 and was wondering if anyone here would be able to help me out in making a mounting system for them. Just wanting to get peoples thoughts on how they would do it and if they may want to lend a hand. I can provide a 6-pack for the help if you would like! Here is a link to the bags that I own. http://www.cyclegear.com/SEDICI-Toscana-Saddlebags?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cse&utm_campaign=SC-Shopping&utm_content=SC-ShoppingDesktop&utm_term=web1009871Standard&scid=scplp4359807&gclid=CNr7gsv81cwCFZKCaQod-h4KLg

    New Bike!

I am going to install the new Puig windscreen, order tires, and change out all the fluids and then ride ride ride. It is comfortable so far but I was too cold to know if anything needed changed.

    New Bike!

The time finally came where I listened to others and did the right thing. I listened to you guys about not chopping up the Nighthawk and it paid off. I sold it after two days listed of Craigslist. I then spent time talking to Brian and Derek about my needs in a bike and we landed on the Yamaha FZ6 or Kawasaki Z750s. The Z750s was hard to come by and the one we did look at was in rough shape and to much money. After seeing the Kawasaki we took a long road trip to northern parts in Michigan to only be let down by people who stated their bikes were in mint condition. Hopes were down after that 14 hour day though we did not stop looking and we then found the diamond. Brian and Derek were extremely helpful and left work early to commute to Louisville Wednesday afternoon. I had high resolution pictures prior to the drive and an email chain from the original owner discussing the bike. I was holding back my eagerness to get down there as I did not want to be let down again. Well, I was not. The bike was as stated and was in mint condition. I was starring at my new 04 Yamaha FZ6 with 7,800 miles. It is so beautiful and so nice that I almost did not believe I was going to purchase it. The bike came with a new Puig windscreen, a clean fender delete already done and just a well maintained bike. It does need new tires but that is pretty much all it needs. I then got geared up for my long journey home (6 hours). It was cold and then wet when it started raining about 30 minutes away from home. I could not stop smiling as this bike is amazing. Smooth and powerful yet comfortable. Thank you again to all who helped in the process. I have more pictures but am lazy at the moment.
  13. If any of of you know anyone looking I have decided to sell instead of chopping up a decent bike. Here is the new link - http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/5557307537.html. I am asking $1,500 OBO, I know a few of you saw the bike in person at the garage meet up. Disclaimer - The bike does have a dent in the front frame from a crash at one point in its life. I never got details from the original owner so this is going off of a guess and what others have told me. Just though I would post here as well. - Moderator - if you can update my link in the original post that would greatly appreciated!
  14. Thanks for having this, great to meet everyone.

    Honda mirrors

Alright, awesome, I have no clue if I can make these work or not but it is worth a look seeing as you are right down the road.

    Honda mirrors

I am in Brunswick, pretty close to Strongsville.
  17. I am in search of turn signals front/rear. I am going to try and modify the stock ones but wanted to know if anyone had any laying around they did not want/need. Just testing the waters here first.

    Honda mirrors

Not sure either but the mirrors on my bike use the clutch and brake clamps to screw into so maybe these could work.

    Honda mirrors

If you still have them I am interested in seeing if I can get these to work with my bike.

    Honda mirrors

    Would these fit 7/8in bars?
  21. Thanks Tonik, I was trying to edit them but it timed out on me.
  22. Latest update...New handlebars installed. So much nicer than the stock bars.
  23. I am in if I have nothing going on that weekend. I can ride down with the Whaler and Derek.
