  1. Bummer,....let's hope he doesn't have the same problem with the GTR...
  2. By now they know which guys play these games for an edge,....otherwise it's really not that hard or bad to line up and punch it when the light triggers...
  3. I know a few dealers in Florida were selling them like regular cars for a while but that got shutdown pretty fast. They are coming out with the SS which is very similar if you want one that's not a completely stripped down base model police package car...
  4. How do you jump the start on a Green light? It's his fault he's the first to hit the gas.... :lolguy:
  5. Hell ya! Very interested in what he does with a GTR... :fuckyeah: Do you know if he's still doing the Focus ST and GT500 stuff? Seems he was getting into the Ford market as EVO/DSM stuff has slowed...
  6. It depends which mode it's launched in... Yes,...weak sauce! Last I heard they were around $600k now...
  7. This is actually the Texas Invitational where these runs took place near Dallas. The Texas Mile is in Beeville...
  8. I thought it was a Switzer based car, surprised to see AMS stuff listed...
  9. I don't think it's that bad. Reminds me of the early 928 concept they had decades ago when they wanted it to be 4-door but it never happened. Now it's one of the best selling models just like the Cayenne...
  10. This is why you don't have NEARLY the fast vehicles out at the new Texas Mile location (Beeville). We've tried to tell them over and over.....things have improved since that run (and four or five crashes) but it still isn't great. The new track in Houston at Ellington Field is PERFECT compared to Beeville and will probably put the Texas Mile out of business if they don't do something... Heck, there were more UGR Gallardo-TT's at the last Ellington meet than Hayabusa's...
  11. They are still working on them but this is something to watch until then:
  12. I heard Omego finished up with a 214mph run! :fuckyeah: Pretty quick but still a bit to go to catch UGR...
  13. I'd say 95 out of over 400,000+ isn't a bad thing at all...
  14. Hahaha...can't believe I posted that. Yes you are correct, but you knew what I meant...
  15. Most steak places sear it in a pan and then bake the steak. Yes, tastes great but I won't do it at home.... I Sear them on my grill, typically a minute a side (depends on the meat) and then slide them into the Holland grill for 8-10 minutes a side. Of course I use my own seasoning, rub, oil, etc...but depends what you like. Then cover them and let site for a bit.... That is incorrect but if that's how you want your steak, more power to ya. Does that mean you also eat them well done (dry and no juice or flavor left either)...
  16. Looks good! So when are you doing a 5.0 Coyote or LSx swap?
  17. It's a fine line between bogging, spinning, turbo, and wheelie city. There is a 2-step feature in the factory ECU that I'm going to start playing with next to try and help a little with that. It's still going to be difficult at stock wheelbase but working on it... At Beeville the track is so bumpy that you literaly fight wheelies through 4th gear and then spin in 5th and 6th between transitions. The Ellington Field course is so much nicer, you can really lay the power down. The other issue is weather conditions. Beeville was much cooler and a slight tail wind depending on the time of day. Ellington was much hotter and a head wind... :fuuuu: Still taking it easy and learning the ropes, just the way it goes...
  18. That price is HIGH for that car.....even then it better have EVERY option available for that price...
  19. Haha...kind of glad they didn't use that footage. Probably wouldn't have gone over with the fam to well if they saw it...
  20. Thanks everyone! It's still a BIG learning process getting everything dialed in. The runway at Houston is so much better than the Texas Mile, I'm going to start cranking up the boost for the next event. I've still got more power to add on this setup and a few other little tricks to try out...
  21. Full video: POV video: Have a great weekend everyone!
  22. Figured a few would be interested in this....
  23. Just wanted to let everyone know there is another 1-Mile track coming this time to Houston! A friend has bought out Hennessey from the Half Mile events and is taking over to start hosting 1-Mile races...at Ellington Field (south side of Houston). The website isn't updated but when it is look for more info here: http://www.houstonmile.com/ or the FB page... Also, if you want another closer event they are starting the Michigan Mile this summer. http://themichiganmile.com/wordpress/ Hope to see more of you out!
