This post reminds me of some advice I got from another forum. If you have to change those stem bearings pick up a craftsman 8" locking flex head pry bar. Hands down best tool I've used to knock out those blind lower races. Two cracks with a hammer and out they come. New tools are always a good thing.

    I'm noticing a theme. :)

Yeah I'm kind partial to Kawasaki. Color was just a coincidence it's the cleanest one I've seen. Original owner and 5,800miles.

Wish I had know you were in my hood, maybe we could have done lunch or somthing. I was in mid ohio the other day getting shock oil, don't remember seeing hat one but I usually don't look at cruisers.

Maybe next time I seem to find myself at mid-Ohio quite often. Picked this one up from an individual not the dealership. I've never been much of a cruiser guy either but I always liked these. Handles A lot better than expected.

  3. That fella was definitely in no hurry  when he got to the engine house. I  wasn't sure what kinda vehicle it was but never considered volunteer fireman. Around here they are usually red/blue and a big old siren. Looked like a mail carrier (unlikely on Sunday) or a security vehicle from one of the local well sites in my rear view mirror. Seems every time I'm over that way I get stuck behind one of those trucks. Sunday was the first time I felt lucky about it afterwards.

  4. Guess I'll be that guy. Love the xdm. Had the 45 and have the 9mm both in the 5.25" barrel with target rear and fiber optic front sight. Those guns are very well suited for burning through hundreds of rounds of ammo popping steel plates. That's why I only have the 9mm now.

It was freaking snowing today while I was washing yesterdays bugs off the bike.

Same here. A little snow earlier but now it's putting it down pretty good. Sucks. Gonna need another project bike to get thru winter

  6. Mine were done 13 years ag and I'd absolutely do it again if for some reason I needed to. Eyes were sandy feeling for a day or two and dry enough I needed eye drops for a couple weeks. No problem since. Done at Bloomberg in Newark . Paid cash but I think back then they had a 0% finance option back then and consultation was free.

Well, I tried Scorpion gloves over A* this time since the last 2 pair of A* that I had failed after 1 season of use. I'm happy to report that the Scorpion gloves have started to fail after 1 ride.

Do I just have shit luck with gloves or is it hard to find a pair that will stay together for around $100? Both offending pairs are below, I'd recommend avoiding them.

    Scorpion: http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/scorpion-sgs-mk-ii-gloves

    Alpinestars: http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-smx-2-air-carbon-gloves

Hands down best gloves I've purchased have been a pair of Five gloves. They are a little pricey but my current pair just started to fray some seems and such after 2 seasons and 16,000 miles on the bike. I think mine are the stunt model, very well vented, lots of protection and felt broke in day one.
