  1. Picked these up today. Now I just need some time to mount them.
  2. I'm pretty sure the dragon has been closed to trucks for the last few years?
  3. I hastened the need for tires by riding 350 mi today. I tried to only use the sides, but Ohio roads require too much riding on the middle. An hour plus, each way, to get to the twistys. Guess I'll get to install the 83 degree stems sooner than I thought. I really liked my Michelin Power RS tires but they've been replaced by the Power 5. Anybody have any experience with these? I can save $11 by buying online, but I'll probably just pick up a pair at Iron Pony. It's worth it to me to be able to check the date codes.
  4. Got these in preparation for my next tire change. My Michelin Pilot RSs are about done in the middle. Too much commuting miles... I really liked these on my stock wheels, but they were hard to find for the 8.3mm aftermarket wheels.
  5. Oh yeah! A build thread. Keep us up on this please. Sounds like fun. Did you read about the couple from New Zealand who rode Groms across the TAT? https://advrider.com/f/threads/tat-2018-honda-grom-edition.1324638/
  6. I rode my riding mower inside the garage in solidarity.
  7. Post again when you leave the west side. I might be able to get away long enough to meet you at Blendon Woods to say Hi.
  8. Here's what RaceTech says about your bike: .90 kg/mm or .95 kg/mm spring set is $129
  9. Every time I see this picture, it makes me smile.
  10. Technically, the term "preload" only applies when the fork is topped out. At any other point, the spring force is balanced by the load (weight) on the spring. When you add a spacer to the top of the springs, it ALWAYS affects ride height by the amount of the length of the spacer. For a given load, the spring length will ALWAYS be the same. For a more aggressive feel, go with straight rate springs. Progressive rate springs are an easy way for manufacturers to make a bike that will "adequately" handle a broad range of riders but they are not "optimal" for anybody.
  11. New springs is the right answer but you can probably get your ride height back by adding a spacer on top of the spring.
  12. Sure hope it's a car, especially if he posts photos! Welcome BG!
  13. Thought that might be a "feature" for a Beemer.
