I did this a while ago, but the forks are back onto the Goldwing. I added a fork brace, too. Shocks came with a spanner, so they're done. (thanks, @Likwid)
I plan to build a marine grade harness for the front fender lights with weatherproof harness termination. Crimped splice joints and electrical tape aren't my style.
As for the stainless brake lines, I have to remove the fuel tank to access one of the rear brake lines. I need to remove the rear wheel and maybe the swing arm to remove the tank... haven't looked in the service manual yet, but it does slide out the rear of the frame. It currently has 5.5 gallons of 87 octane inside, so that's being shelved until a later date.
Edit: Checked the manual and the tank clears the swingarm.

Are they wearing shorts to keep Joel from getting pokey? 🤔

How many days?

That's a way nicer pic of what I was going to post.

My only experience with dash swaps is my former life as a Nissan tech. When we ordered a new gauge cluster, we had to sign an affidavit for the mileage so the manufacturer could preprogram odometer to read the same mileage. ECU never played a role.

Nice ride, Mike. Is that a 6M or DCT?

Is that your old bike?
cause the ad says never dropped, and I remember yours didn't like the driveway at Fontana Village😝
Or the time it rear-ended a Mazda on the BRP. Same year, I believe. 😆

I put a lumbar hydration bladder in my tank bag. If you want a back pack, check out hiking gear.

I had a guy bring weed back to me after smoking a bit of it. Not man enough, I guess?

I've been ready for 25 years.

@Pauly are you planning to keep this around longer than you originally planned?
Probably for a few seasons, especially if this update is up to the hype. I will have less than $1000 in parts and labor for new suspension front and rear.

Nice day to ride. Even better day to upgrade the suspension on the Goldwing. I use the word "upgrade" without reverence to Merriam-Webster, but anything is better than air forks and shocks. I'm sending the forks out for rebuild because I don't have the tools anymore, and I can't imagine anything I'd rather smell less than 30 year old fork oil. 😅
Shocks are installed, but I need a spanner to swing them into "FatAF" mode. I'm excited to see how much better this bike can handle fully loaded.

Why not both?

I was banned from the GoldWing forum for suggesting the manual bike was almost perfect and only needed a quick-shift setup like BMW has.

Question is... fox tail or bunny?
Well this sucks.

Don't worry, Jim. You can borrow my American-made Goldwing while yours is down for service.
