  1. Very comfortable 600 with 3350 miles, well maintained, garage kept, new Dunlop Roadsmart 3s at 2700 miles this spring. Regularly washed and waxed. All fluids/filters changed last fall, oil just changed again this spring. Smoked windscreen, sequential integrated rear turn signals/brake light, rear spools, and USB power outlet. Needs nothing. Asking $3900, selling because I'm going to be traveling for a while and don't know how long it'd be sitting in storage.
  2. Thanks, I think you must be thinking of Hartford, Utica has ice cream though! 😉
  3. Well if you want to sell it down the road, gimmie a yell! 😏
  4. I'd like to avoid buying new, probably looking $2000 or under, that way if she drops it, it's no big deal. I did look into the Z125, but ultimately decided something older and beat on would be best to learn.
  5. Thanks for the idea and perspective. Like I said, no real rush, so maybe her taking the class beats me finding a deal I can't pass up. I can always store the bike and if she decides against it, resell it later on. I took the class and still have the manual, I'd teach her everything the right way and make a couple days of the small stuff. I definitely don't want to rush her and make her uncomfortable.
  6. No, scooters are fine, too. I would take it slow teaching her and get her into the msf class asap.
  7. I'd also like an old nighthawk for me if anyone has one they need rid of 😁
  8. Hey fellas, I'm looking for a small bike to teach my wife how to ride, she doesn't yet have her permit, (nor can she get it with everything being closed) so no real hurry in finding something. If it's been dropped, that's great, she doesn't know how to work a clutch in a car or bike and it'll probably go down again. Carburated is fine, maybe an older Ninja 250, tu250, rebel, etc. Thanks!
  9. @WalnutBread you're about 30 minutes south of me, we're both pretty green riders, should definitely meet up.
  10. Looks like quite the adventure! Nice bikes! My wife and I plan on taking a van we're working on to see all the states as soon as the travel restrictions are lifted. Probably take the bike on a hitch mount.
  11. Ok thanks guys, I'll message him and see what he thinks, maybe he can steer me in the right direction, too 👍
  12. Holy crap, that's 6 months of car travel for me 😂
  13. Wow, awesome! That would be great, I've had two sets of tires changed and wished I could do it myself both times. This last time, the shop damaged the paint on the back rim, too. I got Roadsmart 3s, so should be good for this year at least
  14. Nice, maybe I'll start doing this! (With some actual tire change tools, don't have a truck and all the tools shown here haha)
  15. Been trying for a while, my metabolism won't allow it!
  16. Yep, 185lbs, so kind of a string bean lol
  17. You don't have issues not balancing the tire?
  18. Marysville is a little ways away, but I meet a guy from clintonville for rides around Columbus area occasionally. You're more than welcome, he rides a Z650. Let's see pics of the SV!
  19. Thanks! You get more winter up there!
  20. I'm more torso, only 34" inseam, there's no height restriction on a bike like in a car, so long as your legs fit 😁 it's also more of a standard seating position.
  21. Ok, yeah I'll probably go with those then. Just started looking into them yesterday. The 10s have the radio functionality still, correct?
  22. I am looking at the SMH5, she doesn't have her own bike yet, so just bare bones should work. Dual pack is $179 on RevZilla, too, which seems like a good deal.

    MSF Range Bikes

I took my class fall of 2018 on a Suzuki van van.
  24. Thank you, I'm glad as well. Took some convincing and a very slow trip around town, but now she does good with it. Looking into getting Bluetooth headsets, think that'll make it much more enjoyable!
