  1. YIKES!!! Just pushing bikes around in garage....I'm glad I switched bikes mid-run....as that new Continental Attack has silver showing thru...all good rubber all around...except for that one spot. Think that is the 3rd rear tire this summer and I wasn't anywhere near the burnout box!

May have to send this fella down the road....ain't liking putting on tires every few weeks.

  2. Sorry only just saw this post. If you missed your invite, call and set something up..Yes...been there. Film shoot a few yrs back. Nice display and restoration shop a nice visit. Got an outside area of hulks to be restored (presumedly).

  3. Tar strips are survivable...a lil' sketchy coming thru at 5 in the morning lite fog. Tar strips start a lil'closer to 206....just take 520 to 514 and skip them altogether.

So what time ya rolling thru the great Killbuck area? Maybe from me...mowing is done!

  4. I have survived, returned home. Bought a yard of raffle tickets as they were giving away a 1972 Honda 250cc motorcycle. Missed it by 4 numbers. Darn. The yard of tickets got me bunches of stickers, a lil' tote thing, tee shirt and two gift certificates. One for a thousand custom design vinyl stickers and a hunnert dollar gift certificate for a tat! I'm thinking elongated letters spelling LOKI on the back of my neck. HA!

Learned another meet....Scoot-A-Que, in Columbus, Sept. 21-23.

Google Spitfire Saloon...interesting place. 80 different beers. Chain link fence around/covering stage. Interesting place.

  5. Done and back home for the cookout. Throw in Ashland Co. as well. Route today SR83 south from Mlbg and gas fill up. Stop at Bob Evans in Coshocton, thru Roscoe Village and up the hill (Hill Street, strangely enough) back roads go CR17...you tourists can catch CR17 off of 541....just west of Roscoe and on right. Nice road. Me? I wanted to check out the lil' beaver dam along the drainage ditch....figuring county crews too busy with storm clean up to tear it out again....ulp, now Parks knows and will let the county engineer know. NEED A WHIT'S FROZEN CUSTARD one adam 12!

Popped out on SR60 ran north to Warsaw and SR36 west to 715, chip and seal is surviveable, but be careful...back out on 36 to Howard and Apple Valley....both hit hard. Trees into houses and AV still has dangling power lines. Popping out on backside onto Amity-Danville Rd. and eventually out to SR3, but not going to Amity....3 to Mohican. Mohican Forest has road clutter so rooster tails of sticks and leaves. Slow here folks. Stopped at Gorge and Lodge...SR97 back to SR3 and Loudonville to SR39 east and dropped back south to scenic Killbuck on SR60.

Lotsa trees and in Danville, Howard, AV, damaged homes. Trees into structures and rooftops sometimes on front yard. A few, too bad.

Roads are good except in state forest.

  6. Plus One on Kershockton. Total outing was clear roads...crews had been thru where trees were over roads and cut intruding tops off.

We rode SR60 from Killbuck south to Warsaw, SR79 to SR586. 586 to O'Bannon Rd. off of 586 and up SR146 then to Brownsville Rd/SR668, to SR669.... a touch of 555 and 78...returning north on 83 as Blitz mentioned above. We took back roads from Dover/N.Philly to return to Killbuck.

Evidence of storm....uprooted trees and limbs galore. Danville with bldg damage, but no probs with traveling roads. Nite before Killbuck to Columbus USR62 to 161. No problems with road.

You will have problems....unless power back.....with gas stations closed due to power outage or really long lines of folks getting gas. We did frequent stops to top off as we couldn' t be sure if gas would be available. Columbus was cheapest at $3.18....vs Danville @$3.39.

Only two road crews encountered in covering entire route and less than 6 spots of loose debris on road surface....mud, gravel or twigs. I did find some limestone(?) dust in a corner that twitched the bike a bit...ride safe and watch for Amish buggies....our biggest obstacle in our ride, but they ain' t out everywhere.

  7. Returning home...stopped at good ole roscoe village...band olaying out on patio...we ooted for air and basement...only 30 miles left for me...madmax a tad farther.

Blitz thanks for the good steer and being pathfindr!

Still a bit of riding time left we'll hit it after eats.

OTR...running north with MadMax....Canton by way of Dover/nphilly and back to holmes

  8. Looks good...sent my # via pm for insurance. Not sure where brownsville/668 catches ...16?...figured finding north end and dropping south...new pavement -there 2wks ago...but popped out in the middle of road, which turned out to be browns ille rd.
