  1. Out and about....coupla days of good weather. Headed out to get my Deerassic tickets (will post at another spot later re:). Left wonderful scenic Killbuck, jumped on USR62 by my house and headed south to SR83. Took 83 to Coshocton, and continued South (I'm heading to Cambridge)....caught a bit of SR93, but consider it as staying on 83. Turned left from SR83 onto SR209. 209 takes you into Cambridge. It town and find SR22, east and out of town.....Deerassic Park is on 22.

Return trip: went back towards Cambridge, but jumped on USR77 north. Got off a coupla exits later for Kimbolton and SR541. 541 heading west brings you back to Coshocton.

Alternate routing.....not a fancier of slab interstate? Take 22 back from Deerassic park into Cambridge. Retracing your route to 209...run 209 north (¿) until SR658 or a bit farther to SR662. I didn't go the alternative route, not sure of pavement on those two....pavement was great on my route.

658 and/or 662 take you north to 541 and head back to Plainfield and then continue back to Coshocton.

Hope you can figure out route I've reported....good roads, for motorcycles or sportie cars.

  2. 700 guns, 200 knives, 3 day auction, Feb.16,17, & 18, held in Mt. Hope, Ohio auction grounds. 8076 SR 241. David Miller Auctioneer.

One owner collection. Online bidding available thru www.proxibid.com

For more info: www.auctionzip.com, contact Nelson Weaver, (330) 763-4855.

Past experience is: held same time and location of Air Works tool sale, also 3 days. It will be crowded, very crowded. I found that guns were in excellent shape. Friday seemed to be best prices for buyers.

Now the unfortunates: big crowd turn out, 7% buyers premium, if sales tax charged, another 7%....online/credit cards usually have additional charges. Convenient to site will be FFL paperwork with photo ID.

  3. SR520 open, but one lane with trlr traffic light at the USR62 end of road.

New is USR between Killbuck and Mlbg has repair work and another temp. traffic light for one lane.

Watch out! A dirt road along the repair section had a SUV pop out onto 62 today....presuming he was trying to beat the line of cars......almost got the guy on a motorcycle.....adept evasive maneuver kept the mc guy intact.....a true gentleman, he never flipped the SUV the bird.

  4. Holmes Co.

SR 60, between Killbuck and SR39.

    SR520, re-routed to Danville and SR514

SR 39 paving work/shoulder widening- by Walnutcreek not closed - traffic maintained but reduced to one lane....taking turns to get thru construction-delays

SR 557 near SR 93 (Baltic) Tusc. Co. and Holmes....not sure if it includes SR 643- repaving work

you may want to check with ODOT if thinking of riding here.

  5. Years ago, rebuilt a car ...... inspector wanted recpts, I'm thinking he said notarized, not sure. BUT he was being a __________, about it. Finally okayed the car.

Deer strike on the old SUV, minor damage (to me) insurance wanted to total it. Insurance agent said most difficult to get salvage titles now. If it drives okay, just don't turn in a claim and drive it.

As mentioned, this was years ago, so current routine may be different.
