  1. Even the "running" requirement is a fairly low bar. They bought a 260k mile 2003 Acura CL with a bad clutch, and a 200k mile 2003 Acura MDX with an oil leak from me within the past 1.5 years without issue. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  2. I've got a mid-90s, cream colored electric stove that I've been too lazy to get hauled off somewhere. I can send pics later if you're interested. Located near 315/Ackerman. Free obviously.
  3. I've had good experiences with Quality Window Tint, but it has been a few years. It used to be one of the few (only?) places that sold Llumar locally, but looks like there are plenty of other options nowadays.
  4. I've got one from Amazon you can try out. Haven't yet been able to get it set up right with my gas powered washer. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk

    Lucore

Wanted to give a nod to Austin over at Lucore. I was in need of a clutch replacement on the Audi and was struggling to find a shop that was willing to take on the job for a decent rate, primarily due to providing my own parts (completely expected). Lucore was one of the few shops that actually seemed to welcome the work (Dozzer being the other, the timing just worked out better here). Austin was very responsive throughout the process in getting me a quote, starting the work, and completing the work quicker than expected. He also kept me updated on the progress via pictures and texts, and even ran around the city to help me track down a slave cylinder. I've been doing all maintenance and repairs myself for the past couple years, so wasn't too thrilled about having to go to a shop; however, Lucore did great and I'll definitely give them an opportunity in the future if/when I need more work done.
  6. Have they increased your data plan price to $49 yet? If so, you can jump on the financing deals. Example: Recently they had the S7 for $10/month (after $18 bill credit) for 24 months. There are some catches in jumping on bill credit vs. financing a reduced price, but if you're sticking with Verizon for 24 months and need a new phone its not all bad. Best Buy had this phone at the same time for ~$15/month, using a reduced price (no promotional credit). There are probably some other factors I'm forgetting, but I've also been looking to upgrade phones and retain my unlimited data.
  7. I've got this, if you want to give it a try. It does great in my (drafty) garage. In storage I often wish it was a tank-mounted unit, but I imagine there is some performance trade-off for the convenience (could be wrong). http://www.homedepot.com/p/Dyna-Glo-Delux-30K-60K-BTU-LP-Forced-Air-Propane-Portable-Heater-RMC-FA60DGD/202922773 Keep in mind, they go on sale for ~$60 or so new every once in a while.
  8. It's not as simple as you're making it out, trust me.. For starters - "2301.01 - Definitions. As used in Title 23 of the Columbus City Codes: [...] "Privilege" means an immunity, license, or right conferred by law, or bestowed by express or implied grant, or arising out of status, position, office, or relationship, or growing out of necessity."
  9. I use it fairly often, there is a 10% fee + sales tax. The Alum Creek depot (and looks like Lancaster) is generally returns to Home Depot and Amazon; you can easily find the source by searching parts of the description. Many items are brand new in box, but you won't get a warranty and are buying the items completely as-is, so you'll absolutely want to preview and understand what you are getting. Don't rely on the descriptions provided by the auction hosts. I've seen several items described as "brand new," that were actually damaged or swapped out for different models.
  10. If you strike out here, I used Joseph Tree Service before with good results. They had the best price at the time, were clean, and everything was as uneventful as you would expect.

    WTB: DA Polisher

If you strike out on a used one and can wait a bit, you can pick up the PC for ~$100 on sale at various places (Autogeek, Amazon). I shopped around and ended up going with an Autogeek bundle using a 15% off coupon. It was the best deal, factoring in the pads and backing plate.
  12. Possibly something in here: http://codes.ohio.gov/oac/4101%3A8-3 "SECTION 312 GUARDS 312.1 Where required. Guards shall be located along open-sided walking surfaces, including stairs, ramps and landings, that are located more than 30 inches (762 mm) measured vertically to the floor or grade below at any point within 36 inches (914 mm) horizontally to the edge of the open side. Insect screening shall not be considered as a guard. Exception: Guards are not required where a protective bar is installed 34 inches to 38 inches (864 mm to 965 mm) above the porch or deck on the interior side of the screening. The protective bar shall be capable of resisting a horizontal load of 50 pounds per lineal foot (730 N/m) without contacting the screen and be a minimum of 1½ inches (38 mm) in height."
  13. About a decade ago I had a lady sideswipe me on the highway and take off. She called in soon after, which likely saved her from it being a hit-and-run (I called the cops, chased her down for her plate #, then pulled over and waited for an officer). She actually admitted to the reporting officer over the phone that she hadn't been paying attention when she swerved into me. Even with this, the reporting officer wouldn't file a report because the damage was "too minor." The lady went on to make a false statement to her insurance company saying that I swerved into her, and neither side could determine fault based off the conflicting statements so each paid for their respective parties.. live and learn. This will likely be the outcome in your scenario unless there is definitive evidence showing otherwise, or he admits fault.
  14. I prefer my current BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S to the Conti DWS I previously ran, especially in terms of handling. They seem to perform better all around except for snow (also reflected in the reviews). Looks like there is a new "DWS 06" out, not sure how the G-Force Comps would compare to those.

    Push Lawn Mower

I'm in Columbus, right off 315 at the Henderson Rd. exit if going North. Basically next to Whetstone High School.
  16. Basic push lawn mower dug out while cleaning my garage. Was left behind by the previous owner of my house and I never used it; stored it dry and it fired right up this season. Someone pick this up before I have to deal with Craigslist. -Starts on the first pull and engine runs fine -NOT self-propelled -Has bag/mulching capability Asking $50. Located in Clintonville near 315. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/0423161550_zpslk3wl8bd.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/0423161549a_zpscp1tfcg8.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/0423161549_zps7xafv6po.jpg

    Tire Swap Thread

Just dug this out of storage while cleaning, no longer have a use for it: One (1) 235/45-17 Continental ContiExtremeContact (pre-DWS series) 8-9/32 thread depth $20 obo; at $20 I'll drop it off anywhere around Columbus. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/0416161548_zpswnaasjlt.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/0416161549_zpstqytg1ii.jpg
  18. Updated with pics. Found that Discount Tire ordered the wrong width as replacements back in the day; reduced the price accordingly.
  19. Sold the CL-S to CarMax and threw the stock wheels back on, up for sale are the RPF1s that were on it. Wheels: Enkei RPF1 17x7 5x114.3 bolt pattern +45 offset Silver No center caps 14.9 lbs (according to Enkei) New: ~$220/each 4x wheels (three of the 17x7 and one 17x7.5) mounted with the tires below (1 repaired w/marks; the 17x7.5 has minor curb rash, see pics); AND 2x additional wheels (one slightly bent 17x7, one slightly more bent 17x7.5; both repairable I'm sure) Tires: 4x 235/45/17 Continental ExtremeContact DWS 5-6/32 tread depth (even wear; "S" is mostly worn off, supposedly means still good for dry/wet) Not interested in separating the tires/wheels at this time. NEW PRICE: $350 for everything (4 wheels/tires, 2 bent wheels) **SOLD** EDIT: While cleaning I realized the sizes got screwed up somewhere along the line. I've reduced from $500 to try and sell them as-is for now. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/RPF1s/0413161902_zpsl340al5u.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/RPF1s/0413161902_HDR_zpseoh1rwqz.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/RPF1s/0413161903a_zpsa3xk4sot.jpg Repaired: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/RPF1s/0413161902a_zpsrivt0isi.jpg Repaired: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/RPF1s/0413161903_zpszditwdn4.jpg The 17x7.5: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/RPF1s/0413161903_HDR_zpsspcoonq3.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/RPF1s/0413161903a_HDR_zpsrofwa24j.jpg Extra bent wheels: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/RPF1s/0413162012_zps4lornhxo.jpg
  20. 1) Obviously a very basic model, but in like-new condition and only used a handful of times. I got a good deal on the next model up and upgraded. I think it's only rated to 300lbs, but convenient to have around anyway. The only real wear is on the bar holders (see in pictures). It is more sturdy than I expected, to be honest. I'll have it assembled in my garage to check out before buying. http://www.amazon.com/Barbell-Power-Rack-Exercise-Stand/dp/B00HYQP72O/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1458405741&sr=8-2&keywords=cap+half+rack http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/0319161239_zpszqfji3kv.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d144/morganlincoln/0319161240_zpslagmgvri.jpg $70 OBO Sale Pending 2) Weider 7' Olympic Barbell. It came with a weight set and I'm not really a fan of it. In like-new condition as well. $40 by itself, or $30 with the Rack I am in Clintonville near Henderson/315. -Morgan
  21. I've been using FoxFi for a few years now without issue; currently use it daily for 6-8 hours at a time.
  22. I have a Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostat and like it. I actually use the mobile app for adjustments more than the physical unit or web interface. My only regret is not getting a higher-level model that would allow me to schedule the fan to circulate air.
  23. Jim and Mike (from Habitat) both came out for my inspection last year. Did a thorough job and the report was very clear and informative.
