  1. Ford. Pissing people off with their new cars? No way!
  2. CR members get the $5 surcharge on the toolbox, huh? What's the specs on it, size-wise? I'll drop your FB $45 on it if large enough.
  3. We've been offered the VIP Suite in the tower for an extra $5/person. $15 for TnT entry, $20 for entry and use of the suite. Opinions?
  4. Too bad you weren't a few days earlier, but you can still bid on it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Nintendo-NES-system-bundle-w-controllers-and-14-games-working-/261576408328?pt=Video_Games&hash=item3ce72b3d08 We also have some games listed separately.
  5. It would be, your higher hp balances out against my slight weight advantage. 10/19?
  6. There's nothing wrong with Prochargers. Must be operator error.
  7. Huh, looks like Vince has been dealing with MCIR as well.
  8. Sorry, October 19th with the 26th as a rain date.
  9. 275/35/18 work? I'm about to pull a pair of KDWs off my car.
  10. No problem, Mike. It looks like our only option right now is NTR will dedicate a staging lane and blocks of race time for CR only during their October 19th Test N' Tune. The cost will only be the $15 entry fee. That's about the best I can do on short notice and without potentially sacrificing a hefty non-refundable insurance premium or track rental deposit. Will people be interested in this option instead? If so, there obviously would be no need for prepayment, but would like people to let me know if they plan on attending so I can have a rough list together for NTR staff.
  11. I'm working on something for NTR still due to demanding requests from people As for MCIR and those of you who live close by and would love to go there, go visit their management and let them know people are trying to rent their track out for a reason
  12. Does anyone know the owner(s) of Pacemakers? I'd be interested in speaking with them.
  13. You're the second person to say that to me today. I personally won't run 1/8 mile, but not sure what kind of interest there is on here for that.
  14. Sorry everyone, but we will not be having a fall event this year and I'm not going into details. I will say, I should not have to fucking chase down anyone to give them money and a business opportunity. I don't have time to play grab ass. We will plan a cookout or something. Stay tuned.
  15. I ask that anyone interested (or not interested) take pay discussions to PMs or use the email provided.
  16. If I could do it again, I would not get a cage. Maybe a simply roll bar with swingouts, but then again, I also want to hit 9s in the next couple of years. I'll be honest, my car is not nearly as comfortable to drive around.
  17. They're going to prep to the 1/8 mile, just waiting for a call back to schedule.
  18. After some additional information today, we'll be running our event at MCIR. Unfortunately, the insurance policy has a zero refund premium once issued. If we cancel the event due to weather, lack of participation, act of God, etc., the insurance company eats the money. Plus, if we don't give NTR a two-week notice to cancel, they keep money as well. Lose-lose situation, so I apologize, but hope all of you understand. I will reach out to MCIR and get something scheduled, then keep everyone here updated.
  19. Something I would like to bring up. The insurance policy does not state what happens with it if I cancel the event (weather, not enough spots, etc.). I'm waiting for an answer back from the carrier, but if they come back with anything except a refund on the policy if it's purchased and not used, we're doing MCIR. I should know tomorrow.
  20. He was married and had two kids IIRC. I returned your PM and will lock this thread.
  21. That was Brian Carter and he unfortunately passed away a couple of years after moving to Florida.
  22. If we do $50/person for NTR, we need to sell 58 spots to break even. The reason we have to supply our own insurance is because they're not running another event that day, so they can't "umbrella cover" us. We supply our own. Next year I plan on getting some better days selected earlier than this year.
  23. Yeah, he unfucked our Cobra a couple of weeks ago. I love that man
  24. Thanks for the additional input via posts. I really like NTR, but their parent NHRA management has really put the screws to me this year. Most of you know that it takes a lot to do one of these events, this year it's been ten times more difficult since the NHRA has made me jump through some serious hoops. That being said, I'll put myself out there and do what needs done because CR enjoys these events. I MAY entertain something at MCIT next year for something, but with D42 hopefully opening, that's definitely the direction I'd like to go for the "extra" event like we used to have. As Scott mentioned, I'll probably up the entry fee for the current situation no matter what so that we can have a track day without having to sell all spots. Those of you that are serious, thank you. Those of you that bitch about an extra $15, you're in the wrong hobby.
