This. A Polarizer isn't a bad thing but it can give a "Too much" look if the sky is nice and blue already or turn white snow blue. There are a ton of rules / guidelines but the trick is seeing when they apply and when they don't. If you had one "Built" that is probably why. There are hundreds of shops that build hybrid Garrett turbos that are not on Garrett's website as something they build/sell. Forced Performance is obviously a better one but for every FP there are 100 terrible examples unfortunately. Jeff PS -- That being said, any turbo can fail for a variety of reasons but it wasn't hard to look back through invoices and know we had issues with 6 in 10 Precision's and 1 in 50 MHI or Garrett's. Profit margin wasn't worth the head-aches...

I always thought the Canon crop-body sensors were wayyyyy too noisy. Depending on your ISO while shooting at F/16-22 in a darker environment that is a difficult task for a crop-body hand-held. I regularly shoot at ISO 6400 now and forget what being annoyed by tons of noise and noise-reduction is. Jeff

On a tight interior of a car I can see one on-camera flash being worse than a clean 30-second exposure with anything through the glass cloned out. I've never done any interior shots in awhile so I will dust off the Audi dash and play around this weekend and give it a go to see if I can offer you any advice. Jeff

"Recenty" was at least 5-6 years ago when we found that out with Mark's car. Trying to put Tial SS 1.02 A/R housings on whatever Precisions latest & greatest billet turbo was at the time and they wouldn't go on. Precision rep would not say or even acknowledge they weren't Garrett center's. I was flat-out telling him they were Turbonetics and he wouldn't comment lol I stopped buying Precision turbos long before that due to an absurdly high failure / issue rate as compared to MHI / Garrett. I do know the margin has always been very good so it/s difficult for most shops to over-look the profit margin in favor of what is a better product. Jeff

I would assume he (Like most viewers) likes or is looking for a certain "Look". I can look at two different pictures of the same car and hate one and love the other w/o having any idea how they were lit or what was done in processing etc etc. One just looks better than the other to me. I always like to get an idea of what someone likes by throwing out a few example shots just as a matter of "Taste" (IE: Some people really like overly-done HDR images and some hate them). It doesn't mean any of the pictures are "Good" or "Bad" its just what someone likes. Him using "Soft" probably doesn't mean anything about being sharp or not and is just what he is using to say "Not what I had in mind". Post up your "Soft" pic and I will give you my 2-cents, Jeff

Casey -- Thanks for the post and glad you are happy with everything I personally loved the wheels (The metallic in the color you chose really makes them "Pop" in the sunlight) and the grill / fresh emblem really improved the look a lot as well. "Car show" pics are hard due to having little-to-no space between cars. Colors reflect off each other and of course people. It's usually a setting best for "Here's who was here" type shots unless you can get in tight on badges or specific design cues. Good to see so many coming out already -- I need to make it out to one soon to talk cars and cameras Jeff

It would depend on the performance shop but even those (Like us) that have never built one to that level could still strap it on a dyno and do a few pulls to check how the tune looks and then approach it from more of a "Modification / Tune" aspect as opposed to just a general inspection a dealer would typically do on a stock car. Obviously someplace like Swytzer or AMS would be ideal but maybe not convenient. I personally would focus most of the inspection / concern on the engine bay / tunnel (Chassis) from where the engine / transmission was removed and such. If a hose wasn't tightened or clamp was a little loose chances are that was found pretty quickly at 700HP but scratches / dents / imperfections to the chassis can be hidden with the drivetrain re-installed unless you are really really looking. Just my 2-cents... Jeff

Last time I did that was at Norwalk and I literally had my elbows on the wall about 50 yards beyond the lights (This is when I took the pics of the bumper getting turned inside-out and the car lifting the back wheels) with it coming by me at 210+ mph. I was watching it Saturday night on the live-stream and already looked away as soon as she went side-ways expecting to hear a bunch of bad sounds. Looked back up and saw the win light and then watched the re-play a bit more relaxed. Jeff

It's not bad at all depending on what you are comparing it to. I drive both ways to work but for me it is faster to take Cheshire over the lake to Old State and down to Orange Rd to get to work (Corner of 23 and Powell Rd) then it is to go Africa down to Lewis Center Rd and then across Orange. That Africa / Big Walnut intersection can get pretty congested in the mornings/evenings but that is it for traffic through there. There were a couple times last year I sat at the dam trying to turn north on Africa for what seemed like forever (That intersection is just a 4-way stop now) but I was comparing it to no delays at all going up Old State.
