  1. Cars suck, but the spot looks awesome. And I give the props for doing it, whether or not the cars are my taste.
  2. Nah... I'm the other guy not on the trend. Not knocking though, the wheels look great.
  3. All I can say is I hope the "Ecoboost" motor works, the name is begging to turn into a disaster LOL...
  4. Mostly agreed! I don't know how we'd be competitive on labor rates though? Do you have good resources on this to share, I'd like to hear about the rationale / data etc...
  5. Unions were ripe to be ripped. Globalization and it's billions of people needing worked ripped them to bits. Game over..... The question isn't how to bring manufacturing "back" to the US, it's how do Americans get valuable enough to the world economy to maintain the lifestyle they want (just like everyone else). We need to suck it up. Services, technical innovation, manufacturing that's not solvable by global skill level labor...whatever... it's a problem to be solved. Blaming someone / some group for globalization is emotion based nonsense. Other people are willing to put the bolt in the hole cheaper and now they can. Switcheroo!
  6. I have to look at your age when I read this. I'm only 30. Good luck getting through this tough time for your family sir, whatever the outcome may be. The rest of us can perhaps take a note to take none of our friends or family for granted, get out there and spend time with them.
  7. Wait a minute, you mean a New York Reload?
  8. Jesus... that sounds bootleg as fuck.
  9. Gotcha. I need a bigger f'in truck so I can tow mine somewhere outside Ohio LOL.
  10. What'd you end up doing with your Seadoo Sam?
  11. LOL, I know TV's aren't sources, but it sure seems like they could have a duplicated output. I like cheap, but I don't think an RCA splitter would help, I have no RCA source to split.... ? Again, there is NO cable box, none.
  12. PE requires several years experience, can't be "entry level" if entry level is zero years experience, but he notes "desirable" meaning they know it's not a given. It would be something to ask them to clarify. That being said, it's not an employees market right now... that's for sure! So first, an employer can always post a job position asking for the world, they have nothing to lose. And second, the economy now is ripe for them to do it! Besides, companies around here run the gamut... manufacturing, small businesses, low tech businesses, industrial businesses... they're all going to be on the lower end of engineering pay. Let's face it, designing piping, deciding where to drill holes, or "MacGyvering" the production line to keep it running just isn't where the money's at. If you want a higher paid engineering job you're going to have to be in higher tech stuff, technical sales, engineering management, something like that. A lot of that isn't in Ohio, but some is if you stayed with a company for a while. An ME being hired for Autocad type stuff isn't going to be a top paid job - that's what drafting positions are for... the engineer would work some on the design, then hand it off to a drafter, particularly the more valuable (ahem... "higher paid") the engineer becomes... Just sharing some thoughts from a six year mechanical engineer's perspective... whether you can start out making more than $50k as a new engineering grad depends on what your GPA was, what flavor of engineering you were in, and what industry you're going in to. For example, if you're a civil eng with a 2.8 and looking for civil duty.. good luck. If you were an EE with a 3.8 and are going into the tech industry, you'll need a lot less luck.
  13. Here's the story, since the question won't make sense without it. Mom has a new TV with tons of inputs, but specifically no video output. She also has a DVD/VCR combo box that has S-Video, Component Video, and the old yellow "RCA"? video input and outputs, but NO coax input/tv tuner. She wants to be able to record TV on the VCR still (she's a mom after all), but I can't run the coax into the VCR and then out to the TV because the VCR has no coax input, so the coax input has to go into the TV. But, there's no video output on the TV, so I can't route the signal that way either. She doesn't have a cable box that I think should give us multiple output types that we could take advantage of, and if wrapped into a big package of cable TV channels, will refuse to get one. She has and wants only basic cable as a package / payment. It seems to me what I need is a either a "cable box" from Time Warner that doesn't have a big channel package associated with it (need to check with them on this), or a separate, cheapie "tuner" that will convert the Coax/RF into S-Video, "RCA" /yellow + sound, or Component Video plus sound and have a splitter to route the single coax signal from the cable company to both the TV tuner and the VCR. She'd have to manually make sure both tuners were set to the channel she wanted to watch & record, but it would work without a bigger monthly fee. Any ideas here? Looking for confirmation / correction of my reasoning and any alternate suggestions - I haven't paid attention to TV technology my whole life, so there are gaps in my knowledge
  14. Oh sorry, $15 a box. I have three offers online to buy all 15 boxes, not sure if I'm going to ship it or not. Edit: Looks like I've roped myself into shipping via UPS. I'd rather sell locally, so if something happens I'll update this. What a PITA!
  15. Yeah, except FedEx told me you have to be trained to F'in pack the ORM-D small arms package. They said if it's small arms they probably won't check it, but if DOT stops them, DOT will check. I don't know what risk or penalty is, but I got completely pissed off and quit working on it. Like the ammo I get shipped all the time needs a freaking trained person to send it, bullshit. But am I going to risk it? Probably not...get a freaking felony for a joke of a law probably...
  16. That's not what the F'ers at the BMV told me the last time I asked about this a few months ago... double check, go with whoever gives you the least democratic tax scamming based answer...
  17. Never mind the losers on here. I'm sure you're far more knowledgeable than a lot of the FBody trash talkers.... there are some great resources on here, you can post "I'm looking for..." and find about anything. Just ignore the ignorant ones
  18. I have found that applying the term "concealed" to related areas of CCW status is always a good thing. For example, places that haven't posted signeage about not allowing you to carry but you know are going to be anti-gun people in general.... no need to bring it up, show them, let them see your CCW license by accident, etc. It's just better to be discreet sadly. I've had the same thought as you about the holster, but believe it's better just not to give people with power trips an excuse to feel taller (like going and searching your car as the story mentioned went). We won the right to carry, so I rest on that as my victory and don't provoke anything in situations that someone may try to screw you over on.... luckily our laws in OH are also becoming less ambiguous for gun owners and CCW holders over time. That the anti's would use ambiguity to try and send law abiding citizens to jail is disgusting but reality, and thankfully that reality is fading. Now, anyone on here who's not an NRA member, go join now so we can keep it this way and not end up like England....
