  1. I built one on their site and it was at 19 and change with a loader....

I may need to go see a dealer!

Unless pricing has drastically changed,.... you should be able to find a brand new BX with 60" deck for under 10k (without the loader) Then the 0% for 60 months makes the deal even sweeter.

I had an old beater I tried to keep running before. I had more into maintenance on that thing than it was worth. May have just got unlucky on that one though.

  2. How much did you have in the kobota deal if you don't mind me asking?

I bought a used Kobota after I found a deal where a 72" finish mower and loader was included.

I was looking at buying a new Kioti though. http://www.kioti.com/

I have a little over 5 acres mowing around 3.5-4 and lots of trees. In just a few years I have added a scraper blade, box blade, landscape rake, and pallet forks.

I use my tractor to mow everywhere except by the house. I use a 54" Cub (really should have bought a 42") and also use it to trim next to the driveway.

Also, I've heard it said, when looking for a tractor, budget for the biggest and buy the next larger size. Both my my neighbors have said they wish they bought bigger tractors.

  3. Well my thoughts were to pickup the ford now and then look at the zero-turn at the beginning of next mowing season.

The Ford has a few options included (bushhog and blade) and could be had for around 2k.

I just can't see dropping close to 15 or 20 in a tractor....

Does it come with attachments ? I would not want to mow with one myself. You will get a good work out. If the old ford runs good and has a bucket and maybe a scraper blade on the rear you would get some good use out of it. How much $
  4. anticipating a concrete drive. approx 150-180ft

I would absolutely buy a compact tractor with as many attachments as I could afford to maintain 4-7 acres. Whether or not I bought a zero turn later on would determine how long it takes to mow with the tractor.

I mow a little over 2 with a 54" garden tractor, and it goes pretty quick, but top speed of the tractor blows.

    Gravel drive?

  5. Do you leave the front loader on it while mowing? Also is it difficult to swap stuff around?

I have around 5 acres. Lots of hills and some woods, etc.

I ended up going with a Kubota 2360 and added the Front End Loader.

It does a GREAT job cutting the grass, plus I use it for odds and ends around the house all the time. I was very skeptical spending so much on something to "cut grass" but it has been worth it's weight in gold.

They also hold a very good value. So if you can find a new dealer willing to invoice one out during one of Kubotas 0% sales, you would be better off than buying a used one.

  6. I recently purchased just under 7 acres of land in the Mansfield area. Our plan is to build a house and garage. It is partially wooded with a stream but will most likely end up mowing 4+ acres.

#1 priority will be to mow. Secondary will be to move things. (Dirt, snow, Etc.)

    Let me know your thoughts!

  7. EDIT: This is Jeff logged in as Mike :)

Didn't have any time to go anywhere but all shots from in my yard or right behind it:

  8. Does anyone know a good shop locally that can restore some Ford dog-dish hubcaps, and metal trim?

Is it possible to polish front chrome headlight bezels, when the part is really plastic?

Call the shop any time and ask to speak to Brent :)

  9. Very true, but what did the white one put down? It ran a tad better et wise. Of course you know how I feel about it :)

Neither car made anywhere near 700hp at that track day. Black car was a super heat-soaked 600rwhp and the white car who knows lol. It is dropping off next week for LSx heads and then we will find out for sure. Black car is getting complete fuel system and 10psi pulley back on which will put him back at the 740rwhp mark.

Main difference wasn't power -- it was that one was an Auto and the other a 6-speed :)

  10.

Thanks Mike/Brandon/Jeff.......good seeing Bill and Eric too. Can't wait to see Patrick's MS3 tuned. If I have my way, I'll be back with mine to get a series of upgrades done with you guys included :)

Thanks for the post and it was nice meeting you :)

I look forward to helping you out with whatever mods you would like done in the future and thanks again for stopping down!

  11. They have done nothing to appologize or even try to make things right. I'm just addressing current issues with the vehicle in hopes IPS will have some answers for me.

    Jim,

I am going to post one last time to address this statement you have made multiple times now that is 1000% not true. I was made aware of two problems with the car AFTER it was loaded and on the trailer. Jeff and I both told you to unload it and we would take care of both no questions asked. You declined. Then I offered to write you a check for what fixing the two issues would cost me and you un-politely declined.

If you think that posting pictures of wiring is going to prompt a phone call asking how much compensation you would like for your hard work it isn’t. It simply doesn’t work that way. If you had pointed it out or called me and let me know you were not happy with it (Or anything for that matter) of course it would have been addressed immediately.

This policy isn’t unique to IPS. It is the same at every dealership, Best Buy, Lowes, or restaurant on the planet. If a dealership is given 7 attempts to fix the same problem and it still isn’t fixed you have a reason to look elsewhere. If you take it upon yourself to do things you were not happy with but never let them know prior they don’t owe you a dime. We can’t “Fix” things unless we know there is a problem or you let us know you would like something done differently. If you keep those in your back pocket until the day you pick the car up what do you think could have been done differently? The two things you told me about I offered to take care of on the spot – no questions asked. You told me to fuck off.

Bottom Line: You didn’t want a single issue resolved – you wanted your “Big day” on here and you got it. Us voluntarily fixing every single concern you had with the car wouldn’t make bashing us quite so easy would it?

Jeff spent over an hour on the phone trying to get you to send an email to him on what about the car didn’t meet your expectations prior to you picking it up. I was in the same room and he was essentially begging you to tell us what you were not happy with. You sent nothing.

That’s it, I am off to Germany for the Air Force so if any of this is still going on when I get back I will deal with it then.

  12. And I do appreciate your work Mike and we have both put out heads together in order to piece this thing together as best as we can! I never once asked you to put one free hour of labor into my car and mentioned SEVERAL times I would wrap it up myself! But your brother is very out of line when it comes to customer loyality and respect for somebody's car! I feel the business would grow if you bought his half out and ran the shop yourself!

This will be my last post. Jeff does not work with customers bills or what goes into them. It is my job to get with tech's and determine what goes into each of our customers invoices. Obviously being gone to afghanastan during your build didn't help matters any, but I didn't really have a choice in the matter. Jeff has nothing to do with the cars in the shop, that is 100% my responsibility.

  13. I’m sorry to see that this whole thing had to come to this. I personally invested many hours of my time in the car to keep the bill down and to keep the car progressing. I have been an owner of IPS Motorsports for over 6 years now and have never once been called dishonest. As the “Shop Manager” I have worked my ass off trying as hard as I can to make projects go smooth and to make customers happy. IPS exists today because of positive word of mouth. Even though it is nice having the vast majority of our customers leave happy with the service provided, the few that don’t makes us work even harder to be the absolute best at what we do.

Through all of the complications and delays we were very happy to have the car make really good power.

There will be no point / counterpoint about this because in the end it never resolves anything anyway. We wish things could have turned out differently and we would like to wish Jim the best.

  14. Stock...fuel....pump

It was a decent turnout, I felt very old there with all the young little teenyboppers running around

The stock fuel pump was forged by the hands of God :)

In reality the hard-wired stock fuel pump just has to feed the surge tank. Apparently it got a little warm after a long night and stopped functioning. After about 15 min. of cool down time it was fine. I would say that it did pretty well for the first night out. I hear it raced a few cars and bikes on baby boost and now we just cant wait to turn up the wick.

  15. I think I am member 50 or something. I remember when it about 10-15 of us at krogers on east broad. I also remember racing Mike yetzer 3x from a dig out on 40. Fucking greatest time ever. That was a good night. I remember also racing everyone that came to krogers in the ole 98 C5 Vette with spray. I remember not losing to many races at all in that car from 40 rolls. Its sad to think back that a 414rwhp car would whip alot of people on here at that time. I remember racing Kyle in his 7 on 40 as well from a dig with anthony in his car and fowler in mine and beating him for the number 4or 5 spot on the old list we had. Then he proceeded to walk my ass from a roll right after that. Racing tony in his 7 from a 40 roll on 270 was fun too. Racing out in groveport, good times... I remember anthony coming up to my car in groveport after I got done racing Kyles saying, "Who are you?" like I was some masked hero or something. lol.

    I'll never forget that night.

I remember you honked, and i launched the shit out of that car. after my 2-3 shift, i thought you had stopped racing you were so far back. The funny thing is neither of us would let up. I think you ended up passing me at 130 or somewhere in there. great times!!!!

  16. Hey Greg & Jeff:

Can you make sure you update this when you've hired who you need to? Only because there are a lot of us waiting for updates, and if you don't get a chance to respond to everyone, this will at least tell everybody when the spots have been filled. Just a request. Thanks... :)

    Sean,

I sure will. The list is getting narrowed down to who expressed interest in each specific make/model and then decisions will be made. I have already talked to a few people (in no particular order) but will keep everyone posted and update this thread accordingly. I had well over 100 replies so sifting thru them all has taken some time.

    Jeff
