  1. I bought my brother's second pre-ordered phone and I love it. Took me a minute to figure out the new gestures and get away from the habit of the home button, but the swipe up gesture is pretty natural feeling. Was pretty skeptical about the facial recognition stuff too, but I'm amazed at how well it actually works. Pretty neat phone to say the least.
  2. 2004 touareg 3.2 v6

Okay, so it's a 3.2 VR6(don't let the V6 badge fool you)... pretty much indestructible and dead reliable as long as it's been maintained. I firmly stand beside any VR motor VW has produced- they're great.

These did not have chain guide issues like the 2.8 VR6 counterparts, so really the only thing to worry about on these motors is water pump and any coolant/thermostat housing warpage. MAF can be a wear item on any VW motor, but aside from that, have no worries. Give the engine a look over for any oil leaks or coolant leaks and you'll be good.

  3. Any known issues with the vw 3.2 from early 2000's? I know the 1.8 has sludge issues. What's common on 3.2? What should one look for?

Which model car are you looking at, specifically? "vw 3.2 from early 2000s" doesn't really narrow it down a whole bunch.

Keeping me between the lines, 2011 Appalachian Rally

    Wish I could donate more!

I'd love to get out to another rally soon, life has been a whirlwind lately. Speaking of which, let's get together before you take off on your trip.

  6. Yep I've never been good at that.

So your blaming it on an inaccurate speedo? I've had plenty of old vehicles 1 I still drive regularly (1984) and have never had an issue figuring out how fast I should be going. You can easily judge that by flow of traffic it's not that difficult.

Your thought process of fighting the " system" is a bit skewed in your statement. If your speeding and get caught how are you being taken advantage of or exploited? Your in the wrong. Because you don't like aircraft aiding Law enforcement? Take it to court get an attorney pay him as well take your chance. Pay the ticket admit your guilt and move on. I could careless.

CR people crack me up. Always right never wrong. It's comical

I'm gonna throw you guys a bone and let you tear it up without interference. My gift! I'm too old and got better things to do then debate on the web. I know you all will tear me up that's fine as I won't see it. No hard feelings. I'm just moving on.

Good luck to everyone and your families please be safe! And I Truly wish you all the best !!

    Goodbye CR

    Mods please close my account

    Again be safe CR!!

You pretty much summed up Kerry. He fucking loves to hear/see himself talk and will debate anything until he's blue in the face, even if he's clueless of the topic he spouts off about. Just block him like the rest of us and move on with life.

  7. You've obviously never driven on a Drag Radial in the rain. DOT approval is not the end all be all of safety.

That being said- to the OP quit being a pazi, low ball this guy and buy the wheels!

DOT approves it for R O A D U S E, not rainy conditions. Hard to comprehend, right?

  8. Out of all the things I've heard about wheels, this is a new one.

Casting/Gravity Flow Forming wheels is nothing new and is really prevalent as manufacturer equipped alloy. The verbage of "Winter Tires Only" really befuddles me as there's really no reason I would see why that might be. If anything, I would imagine it would be the other way around as the cold conditions are more detrimental to a wheel on impact than warm conditions.

That being said, I did a quick investigation to find that these replicas are made my AT Italia from TireRack and they're narrower than the Genuine BMW contours, which would be ideal for winter. Otherwise, I don't see any cause for concern for street use, nor do I see any BMW enthusiasts warning to take heed. In my opinion, I would take the "Winter Tires Only" as a suggestion rather than a limitation. DOT certainly wouldn't approve them for road use if they were unsafe.

  9. Sounds like valves aren't sealing on cylinder 1 and the air is coming back through the manifold and since cylinder 3 would be the next to fire, the valve events have already begun and you're just hearing the air leaking past those valves?
