  1. How did you see a concept car at Easton?
  2. - Fugly - GM is developing a compact diesel they will be offering in the 1/2 ton trucks, and I'm sure the other manufactures have stuff on the horizon too - Remember Daewoo? - The name alone will turn people off. - Dealer network, though they talk it up (don't they all), will be crappy. - Pricing won't allow it to compete. - They are dealing with a TOUGH market, with players that have some damn nice stuff. It will fail. No one is clammering for an Indian built anything. Sure, a few people will buy it (the odd-ball people), but it will be a massive failure. I wonder where in Ohio the final assembly will be.
  3. Wease was well into the 12's with stock internals when he had his 99 WS6 Formula.
  4. Stock, high mileage, 97-98 C5 coupe is probably doable for 15k. Probably score an 04 GTO for around 15k. An S4 in that price range is going to eat your wallet alive.
  5. Yeah, I need to cough up some cash for Andy to do my Avalanche. Too many other things draining the wallet right now.
  6. I knew you would respond.
  7. It's not our fault Honduh built that car. I make fun of EVO and STi spoilers too.
  8. A guy I work with, his PARENT'S own that place. Have for years; he said business has been aweful ever since the smoking ban. I've eaten in there once; decent food. I'll have to ask him about it.
  9. Take a look at a C3. The front end is VERY C3-ish. I love the look of the C6, and I think this concept is pretty niffty looking too.
  10. Wrong. 93 doesn't have an EEPROM, you have to actually replace the chip. Whole different deal on the 93's (batch fire, no MAF, different trannies). If all the guy has is and intake and exhaust, do not have him waste money on a reprogrammed chip for his PCM (powertrain control module...not refered to ECU's in LT1's). There won't be any useful gains doing so. Long-Tube headers would be the next logical step. As for editing the PCM on 94-97 cars; you can use LT1_Edit for 94-95 OBD-I Tunercat for 94-95 OBD-I LT1_Edit for OBD-II 96-97 (different program than OBD-I). 93-94's have a OBD-I connector under the dash. 95's have OBD-II connector w/ OBD-I PCM, and use a different cable than any of the other years.
  11. Hmm, doesn't apply to my fiancee at all: Money: Makes more than I do, and insists on things being equal Smacked Around: She has NEVER had a guy hit her, and I know she wouldn't put up with that crap for a second. Challenge: I showed interest, she showed interest back. No real challenge thing to deal with. Sex Appeal: She has always appreciated a comment, and even from the beginning never thought a nice comment was a statement of wanting to sleep with her (which I did, of course). How about: treating a woman like a person, being friendly, outgoing, and have a backbone. No one likes an ass-kisser.
  12. The Corvette Boat is cool, but that's the one Malibu boat I wouldn't want: - No Tower - No Ballast tanks - The other Malibu boats look better for less money - Closed bow I love Malibu boats, and when the time comes, that will be the #1 brand on my list to replace mine.
  13. Been posted a couple of times; 1-2 years old IIRC.
  14. - Fork engagement on the TO Bearing. VERY important, as it can be a PITA to get right. Luckily, you don't have to pull the tranny. Just pull the slave and take a look. - Make sure the master/slave are perfect. - An overly machined flywheel "could" cause this, though I never personally dealt with that. - Disc probably isn't the issue, but how about the pressure plate? Any cracks ANYWHERE on it. I had a cracked one once that would basically bend under pressure just enough to not disengage. - What kind of clutch is it? All LT1 pressure plates are either stock or modified versions of the LT1 and LT4 PP's (which ARE different). Pretty much all performance clutches are a modified LT4 PP, all made by Valeo. Otherwise, I've heard of this issue on Centerforce Dual Frictions when they get hot, due to the weights they put on the pressure plate.
  15. Check Craigslist and local E-bay stuff. Buy used and save a FORTUNE.
  16. That's pretty awesome. I need to go buy some beat-to-hell, non-running Tacoma's w/ rust damaged frames.
  17. That sure sucks. Skybus's website shows nothing about this.
  18. Typical testicle radio. Why not hop into this century and get Sirius?
  19. Isn't your motherboard supposed to be the one that comes with the bridge? I know it is that way with the nVidia stuff.
