http://columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49197 Needs nothing, a car you won't have to dump any time or money into, and will give you reliable service for years to come. Or you can spend less on a POS and end up getting another POS in another 1-2 years, rinse and repeat.

I'll sell you my QTP; I no longer need it. I had a DMH...MANY of them. Had nothing but problems. Having owned both, the QTP is a more solid unit.

Yep, I had to replace another one on the back as well. So I should also add the car has two new wheel studds and lug nuts too. The car needs nothing; shifts great, and drives very solidly without a bunch of squeaks or rattles. Heck, I've been driving it around for the past day or so...not my thing, but doesn't suck fuel like the Avalanche either..........

Funny, I go grocery shopping regularly; eggs and milk are pretty much the normal prices I've been paying for quite some time. Meat seems a bit higher these days, but nothing really noticable. Cereal same as always, same goes for cheese. Butter is going for the same rate as always. Hmmm, beer seems about the same too. Now that I think about it, so is pre-packaged salad and salad dressing, peanut butter, etc. My grocery shopping > your theory.

I didn't realize they offered a sunroof from the factory on a Fox. I don't grasp why you would buy a 93 GT and barely put miles on it. Far more intelligent to spend more and buy a 93 Cobra, where resale will be far better reflected with the low miles. Or a Fox Saleen.

Selling my fiancée's car, as she just got herself an 06 Audi A4, and no longer needs this. - 2001 Nissan Sentra SE; this is the top end model for 2001. Has the 2.0 SR20DE motor. - One owner, adult female owned (and not abused), has never been smoked in, garage kept most of its life - 54,100 miles as of 4/2/08. Most of the miles are highway as well; my fiancée traveled for a while, and the car would sit in the garage for 2 weeks at a time, and was this way for a couple of years. Was a daily driver up until 2 days ago, when my fiancée purchased a new car to replace it. - 4 new Goodyear tires with a 4-wheel alingment approx. 1 year and 10k miles ago. - Brand new front brakes, rear brakes are ~6 months old. - New cap, wires, and NGK Platinum sparkplugs 4k miles ago. - Synthetic oil its whole life, replaced every 5k miles. - Power windows, locks, mirrors, factory keyless entry, A/C, cruise control, factory fog lights, automatic transmission, 16" alloy wheels, spoiler, cloth interior (they didn't offer leather in this year), no sunroof. This is not a base GXE w/ a 1.8L motor sporting hubcaps, and is priced accordingly. Since the gas prices have went up, these cars are selling for more now than they did a year ago. Compare similar mileage SE Sentras online, and you'll see the pricing is spot on. This car runs great, and NEEDS NOTHING. It has your typical minor scratches as you would expect from a car with this age/mileage. Could use a good detailing. NEW PRICE: $7999. NO TRADES, and I won't hold the car for anyone. Have clean title in hand, you bring cash, we sell you the car.

Fiance narrowed it down to an Audi A4...what options to looks for?
Nitrousbird replied to Nitrousbird's topic in Passing Lane
Umm, yeah, try reading the rest of the thread first. And 100k warranty > no warranty...true story, especially on a car I'm not looking to do repair work on, as I've got enough projects of my own. Shawn, I'll have to hit you up in the next week or two. I know she wants to kill that door chime; the window thing would be cool too. -

UPDATE She actually bought one. Got it on the 30th from Byers, so she still gets the .9% financing, and is Audi Certified. 06 A4 2.0T Quattro, white on black (she only liked the black interior, which I agree...far nicer looking than the other colors). More loaded than most of them; only missing the tech package, S-line, Sat, and Nav. Has the cold weather package + heated rear seats (never knew they offered cars in this class w/ heated rears), sunroof, power driver/passenger seats, auto-dimming mirrors, rain sensing wipers, compass, etc. Once we get her Sentra sold (should be putting it up for sale in the next day or two), we will be buying an RNS-E factory NAV for the car. Since I want to use the Sharkfin GPS if possible, I'll probably do the Bluetooth, Sirius, and iPod wiring at the same time....pretty much doing the tech package minus Xeons. How hard/expensive is it to add FACTORY Xeons to the car? I'll do aftermarket if need be, but would prefer factory if reasonably possible. Also, has anyone here swapped their A4 cluster w/ the color DIS cluster? I've read on navplus.us that it is pretty expensive, but integrates into the Bluetooth/Nav system even better than the red monochrome cluster. So far, she really loves the car. Had a mirror issue they had to replace before she took it, so she spent 2 days in an lower optioned 07. She really appreciates having her more loaded model, and agreed it is worth a little more $$ to have the extra options. Personally, I like the car, and it is growing on me. The door chime is pretty annoying. I love the quality of the leather on these cars; feels nice yet tough. They tend to vibrate at idle more than I'd like, but that is every one I've been in, so it is an A4 thing for sure. Enough power for her, and I got it up to 115 on the test drive without too much effort. -
MSD also sells a device for the LSx cars, called the Timing Twister. Allows for ignition advance, wire activated step retard, and MAP sensor retard (for forced induction). You simply hook it up to the wire activated side, and either have it retard when you arm the system, or when the system is activated. I have a Hyfire IV on my car, and activated the retard when the nitrous system was in use, so I was never retarding the timing N/A.

The Z06 wasn't that sad when it realized that fully loaded it is the cost of a base N/A Carrera. That 911 in the video was no joke, though!

George Bush Gets Booed At Ceremonial First Pitch
Nitrousbird replied to SLOWLX's topic in Pics and Vids
Bubba was playing a sound clip of it today, and the news station that played it had dubbed in cheers over the boo's. Nice. -
I don't mind them down low, and being on the pillar or windshield is just plain tacky. One thing I would do different is wire up a socket behind the dash and wire in the power plug to that, so it hides those wires.

Yes, it will hook up to your DVR AND control all the DVR functions. Bandwidth wise, it's all about upload. If you have a connection with 512k up or better, you will have a decent picture (at least w/ my Slingbox...I'd assume the same for this).

Here's the deal; I purchased this with the intent of comparing to to my current Slingbox A/V. I overall like this better than my Slingbox, but two factors have made me decide to keep the Slingbox instead; factors that won't impact 90% of users: doesn't have Palm viewing software, and though it has better remote controls for my 400 disc DVD changer, it can't bring up the disc folder. Compared to the Slingbox, the playback software isn't as pretty, but works well. It isn't nearly the system resource hog Slingplayer is. My house is wired in CAT5, so I've never tested the wireless feature. I've tested all of the inputs...works well. IR blasters work great too. The recording feature is awesome; I spent today capturing VHS movies, and burned them to DVD; picture quality was a good as playback from the VCR itself. The unit was a mis-boxed item, and came with a Euro-spec power plug, so I bought a correct power supply for it, which of course I'm including. In perfect condition, basically brand-new condition. As for logging into outside my network, I never even tried; I normally don't use my Slingbox for that either. No reason there should be any issue with doing so; setup is similar to my Slingbox. Specs: http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/PCTV+Tuners/PCTV+Analog_Digital+PVR/PCTV+To+Go+HD+Wireless.htm Price: $100

Most notaries won't touch a situation like that. I had the same issue once, and couldn't find anyone to do it; ended up having the dude mail me a replacement title that was notarized and signed.

Well, I need to get around to hosting pics somewhere else. Anyone seriously interested in purchasing them (as in actually HAS the cash and wants to purchase), I'll be more than happy to e-mail the pics I have of them.

That's more than a little un-realistic. Assuming you mean 35% after taxes (and before taking out retirement stuff, health benefits costs, etc.), a 50k/year job wouldn't even allow you to buy a 100k house w/ good interest rate over 30 years, and still have 65% left over after other standard bills (electric, water, etc.).
