  1. I found a couple good deals on there (after incentive money, of course). 05 quad cab Tundra V8 for $195/month for 14 months with a ton of miles left on the lease. Found an 06 w/ less miles but 22 months for 205. 03 Escalade SUV w/ 4 months left on the lease for $179/month. 05 Volvo S60R turbo for 10 months at $243, but only get about 300 miles/month left on the lease. 03 Saab 9-3 Ragtop, decent mileage, only @258 for 10 months. 06 Impala SS w/ plenty of miles for $283/month for 10 months. 04 RX8 w/ tons of miles and 15 months at $299/month. But man did I see some high priced leases on there as well!
  2. Everyone loves to talk up projectors. I've yet to see a projector that looks good in a well-lit room. I've seen plenty of rear-projection and flat panel TV's that still look great when the room is bright. Sure, they look great in a dim or dark room. But I'm not going to watch football with my friends in the dark.
  3. A mildly built NA LSx won't push 550RWHP. A heavily built one will. I'm not a fan of the rims, and the car needs lowered. That motor isn't exactly some top-notch deal by any means; should hold together just fine, but pretty basic as far as built motors go.
  4. Pepper Trick: Tried it, worked exactly like the video. Whiskey Trick: Partly worked. I need to work on my technique, and perhaps use something that isn't cheap-ass, 40 proof whiskey.
  5. For some reason, that might actually be an overkill replacement for my 50". But I'd still use it if it it was given to me.
  6. Bill was last year's King of Columbus. He EASILY had the fastest car of the night, but lucked out winning, as he broke at the line (battery issue IIRC), but the guy he was racing red lighted. That car is a monster for sure.
  7. Though I can't share it due to it being internal company info, if you understood the cost of truck roles and call center calls, anything that can be done to reduce either one is a VERY good thing to do. Though I see both sides of this issue, I guess I don't see it as a big deal. If its that big of an issue to you, simply use a different DNS server.
  8. There is nothing I can really do to even ask about it, as none of that is controlled locally. The simple answer is: if it bothers you that much, there are a zillion other DNS servers out there you can use. If you only knew the amount of service calls we roll on for people who have no clue how to use a PC, I honestly can't really complain about anything that has the potential to reduce those kinds of service calls.
  9. This will be my 12th year of using Turbo Tax.
  10. Uhh, first I've heard about any of this. But I did just put in an invalid website in my browser, and came to that page, so you aren't imagining anything. I have zero info about any of this, sorry.
  11. Doesn't really matter, if you bought one, you'd just get Hennescrewed anyway.
  12. If you have a high enough credit limit on a credit card, most will give a cash advance on that card up to the limit at a low fixed rate. My roomate did that buying a car, as it was a FAR better deal then any used auto loan out there.
  13. DVD Shrink, and if it is encrypted, use DVD Decrypter first. There's plenty more add-on stuff out there, but that will get you started.
  14. You are trying to make a logical point to a guy who is spending a bunch of money building a 200HP carbed 4 banger for a Corolla. He just won't get it.
  15. She hit something, you could hear it. It was very obvious she didn't know shit about that car, and had no business behind the wheel, let alone making an "instructional video."
  16. Hey Anthony, I was thinking about your mouth recently................
  17. My roomate and another buddy woke me and the g/f up yesterday by starting my Raptor and tearing up the back yard. We got up, did a little riding in the neighborhood. Tossed it on the back of the Avalanche, took it to a public park, and what I'm guessing is quite illegal, did a bunch of snow tubing behind it. Sadly, the tires on that thing aren't the best suited for snow, and trying to pull two 200+ guys on tubes = major tire spinning. Power was way more than there, traction...not so much. Also did some donuts, started teaching my g/f how to ride it, and had a ton of fun out there. A fart-can equipped RSX and Civic came to the parking lot to do, well, FWD burnouts is all they really got done, and hitting the E-brake. They were there a while too; it looked pretty lame to me, but whatever floats their boat I guess.
  18. Roomate moved out tonight...WAY sooner than expected (she wanted to save money by living free with her new boyfriend or something for a couple of months...wish I had known!). - HOUSE is in a quiet, CRIME FREE, Reynoldsburg neighborhood. - Rent is a fixed $350/month. This includes all utilites; you pay $350 and that's it. - WOW cable with ALL channels, 6Mbps down/1Mbps up internet. - If you want a home phone, that's on you (and would be YOUR home phone); I can get it at highly discounted rate. - If you want a cable box for your room, I can get that too, also at a discounted rate, but that's on you as well. Otherwise, basic cable. Otherwise, I need someone that will pay their rent on the 1st of the month, on time, every time. I also want someone who isn't too messy; I don't feel like cleaning up after someone. I'm not a neat freak, but don't want someone too messy too. I also require a roomate that's respectful to my stuff, and isn't a pain in the ass to live with. One other person lives here (my best friend, has lived here for almost 5 years, and is also easy to get along and live with). I also have a dog, but even people who aren't into dogs love this dog (never barks, and pretty much just leaves you alone unless you want to pet him or something). I've always had great luck with everyone I've lived with, and want to continue that trend. I may also ask for a reference if I don't know you. I need a roomate fast, you can move in ASAP.
  19. I heard about this on Bubba as well (who the hell would listen to that Grego crap?). I also had never heard of water poisoning, though I am aware that excess of pretty much anything can be bad for you. I feel sorry for the lady, and pretty much lay blame to everyone involved, including her.
  20. About 10 months ago, I replaced the stock Z71 Bilestein shocks on my Avalanche. They were both badly leaking and causing a vibration at highway speeds. This is a common problem with them. I replaced them with the best shocks Napa sold for the truck. Fixed vibration, and all was well. I go change the oil today in the Avalanche, and I noticed that the front driver's side shock is leaking. Shit. I have not off-roaded the truck. I did some towing, but that's more of a strain to the rear shocks (which are fine). I had an alingment done a week prior to putting these Napa shocks on. Probably 18k miles on the shocks, much of that highway driving. I'm guessing this is just crappy luck, but is there anything else that could be causing a shock to start leaking? I can't think of anything else that would cause such an issue. I'm not having any vibration or handling issues yet, but I know its coming. I think the shocks are under warranty, so $$ isn't an issue, and swapping them is pretty easy. Should I try to get Napa to replace both, even if the other one isn't leaking when I replace them (I don't plan on replacing them until it is warm again).
