  1. I'd have to guess that this car is running in a class where turbos are not allowed, or are put at a big disadvantage.
  2. What's not streetable about it. Said car is a spray car, so of course runs a fairly tight converter, which helps. But nothing non-streetable about it. Shifts were humane, no heat issues, gearing was reasonable enough to survive on the highway (of course that's no different than a TH350/400, etc.). Puts around a neighborhood without any issues either. Sure, a glide w/ a peaky powerband and a 5000 stall probably sucks nuts on the street.
  3. 50% of all MAC users are homosexuals. Are you?
  4. Hope ya have WOW, because Time Warner doesn't offer ABC in HD.
  5. Ummm, yeah. So let's say you are at a bar. You are a bit horney and are getting fairly drunk. Not totally sauced, but the goggles are definately on. Shim walks in. Chats it up with you and starts flirting with you. You think "annoying voice and flat in the chest, but she's skinny and horney....might as well bang it." You get shim home. Start sobering up a bit, but you are getting even more horney. Clothes start coming off, and the time comes to take off the panties. Then there is the surprise; a wang there that rivals your own. That's when shim sticks you with a needle, you pass out, and wake up with a sore and juicy ass. At this point you ask yourself if you tell anyone, or if this is your lifelong dirty secret. And never again will you take someone home from the bar.
  6. In Robocop, everything but the guy was sprayed.
  7. There was a guy up at Quaker Steak several months ago that had that done to his C5 Z06. At least it appeared authentic (correct badging, rims, calipers, etc.). Some older guy w/ younger kids, but I didn't talk to him about it. There is a targa conversion for the C5 Z06 as well, don't know much about the C6 flavor.
  8. That Powerglide can't work in a street car is such bullshit. I've ridden in a 9 second 100% STREET car w/ a glide, and it was plenty streetable, and spends almost all of its time on the street. IMO, a dedicated dragster that only run's mid 8's isn't all that impressive to me. An 8 second car should still be streetable, and if it does it w/ AC, all the better. WTF is wrong w/ an electric water pump?? I run one in mine, and they are VERY much daily driveable; hell, I had one back when my car WAS a daily driver. Nothing big about that at all. Nothing wrong w/ running it between runs; you want get the car cooled down quickly, and it's a great way to do that. People bitching about the chute: guess what boys and girls - 155+ requires it by NHRA rules. Wanna race at the track, you need the proper safety equipment. Sucks that safetly equipment tends to make your car slower.
  9. Most people that buy a car like that: - Have owned other cars of similar performance - Are not buying it just for a "toy" but rather to compete with, where money can be earned - Are probably sponsered, or have enough income to support the maintance on it - Probably already have their own tow rig.
  10. No offense, but I see so many people toss a SHIT TON of money into a car, finally get it finished and where they really want it, then sell it without ever enjoying the fruits of their labor and/or money spent. I understand things come up, or people go over budget and now can't pay bills because of it, but I'd like to think that's not always the case. I guess that's my "flaming" if you want to call it that, though I'm making a more general comment than anything directly about this situation.
  11. That bitch had a wide pussy!!
  12. I don't date a model, though my g/f is good looking. - This chick isn't a butterface, but doesn't have a great looking face either. It's decent. - Decent body, but with pics like that, I see much more potential if she hit the gym a bit and lost 10-15lbs....then her body would be smoking. - Regardless, if I was not in any sort of relationship and wanted to do some banging, this chicks looks would qualify.
  13. Been around for years. I've never claimed a dime on it.
  14. Man, I forgot how ugly those old Dodge trucks were. Not a bad burnout though!
  15. Because I'm sure everyone on here assumed an 800 HP 20B (which is no where close to a 13B, in both size, power, and PRICE), and I'm sure no one assumed that rotary would be going in some small boat either. Want a fair comparison? Toss that rotary setup (which is freaking huge) into the boat doing the video taping on the second video posted. There's a fair comparison.....I bet that rotary would have a LOT more problems w/ that boat. Torque gets a boat on plane, especially a big boat; PEAK HP doesn't mean crap when trying to get a boat on plane. That same video w/ a built N/A pump gas BBC would have had the same results.
  16. My Avalanche is only the second vehicle I've ever owned to have leather. The Moostang being my first (but at 209k miles it is in decent shape, but no where near new). I want to soften the leather up a bit on the Av, protect it, and keep it looking good. Since it is a North Face Edition, replacing those leather seats would be very difficult, so I need to take care of them as best as I can. So far, I've been just rubbing them down liberally w/ Arm and Hammer Leather Wipes weekly. Seems to make them SLIGHTLY softer, but I'm sure there is better stuff out there. Any suggestions?
  17. The cowl gets in the way, requires trimming, and is still really tight. There has been an LT1 guy or two that have converted an Eaton to work, but it's just not really worth it.
  18. Exactly. Intake ports on the LT4 manifold don't match up to the LT1 heads. An LS1 intake.....uhhh, yeah; it would be cheaper to have a sheetmetal intake fabricated and thermal coated than it would be to come up w/ a way to get the LS1 intake to work.
  19. WOW has plant in that area, and we can surely beat Warners price AND service.
  20. Yeah, I looked into it. Once I figured out what it would take, I said "HELL NO." The 4x4 S-trucks are crammed w/ too much stuff up front. It is tight w/ the stock 4.3L in there. That alone was pretty much enough for me, after working on my Jimmy for a while. 4x4's require you to run all Vette accessories; F-body stuff won't fit. This adds a lot to the cost, as the Vette stuff isn't as easy to come by. Gotta run a different oil pan, no biggie. PCM stuff tends to be tricky for these unless you buy one of the insanely priced PCM kits, then it is pretty easy. I think you can get away w/ the stock manifolds, but obviously have to run a custom exhaust setup. Overall, not worth it. If my Jimmy was 2WD, I would have in a heart beat. With the 4WD, way more work than it is worth.
