  1. Washington is official. It will be interesting to see what happens with Schiano. You may be right, LJ. Greg might be through with CFB for a while.
  2. I was like 75% right. Studrawa is probably staying. I think that the Matteson (sp?) thing ended up being almost like a package deal, and Washington will be announced shortly as the LB coach. I've been saying since The Game that UM wasn't out "schemed" by us on defense, just out performed. They don't have the horses yet. I think Schiano ends up the HC at Temple. On the game...It was a very un-Saban-like coaching job last night. It felt like he knew right away that he was outgunned. Haven't seen Nick in that position very often ever. I feel like there are some coaches who coach games as if there are deep seeded, generational ideological differences between them and everyone else, and the only solution is the complete subjugation of their opponent. Saban and Meyer, for sure. Spurrier was like that, and so was Pete Carroll. They literally get in their opponents heads and make them do shit that that just wouldn't do. Example: James Franklin had a qb that had rushed for like 200 yards against us this year. They need to convert a fourth and short to keep a drive alive to try and win a game. What do they do? Hand off, from the shotgun, to a running back who has like 40 yards all game. James Franklin is a decent coach. He fucking knows better. But he's playing against a goddamned terrorist. Panic happens when you are actually afraid of being destroyed. Saban got fucking Saban'd last night. Swinney went "Ho Chi Minh" on Nick Saban and scared him right the fuck out of Vietnam. Going for it on 4th and 1 from your own 35 in the second quarter? That is panic. The fake field goal wasn't even the most egregious example. Also, Clemson is going to be fucking scary for at least another 2 years.
  3. Also...Ohio St, after going 13-1 and winning the Rose Bowl, has FIRED Bill Davis, Greg Schiano, Taver Johnson, and Greg Studrawa. Alex Grinch is your new DC at Oklahoma. Outside of Larry Johnson, the Buckeyes are cleaning house on the defensive side of the ball.
  4. Fields to OSU is a done deal, I'm hearing.
  5. RR Spike knife was a hit with dad, and the brothers in law as well. You might get some repeat biz, Dizzle. Thank you, sir!

What are you asking for the Crown?
  8. So, Urban Meyer retires, and Jim Harbaugh loses a 5 star recruit. Lol. Harbaugh is like one of those dudes on those pistachio commercials. "Jim Harbaugh has a rough life. His daughters first words were, "This isn't working out". He was born with an 0-3 record against Ohio State. And when OSU's coach retires, HIS kids decommitted. Still, he's happy, because he's wearing his favorite khakis, and eating pistachios...And while he can't take his team to Indianapolis, he CAN take them to Rome."
  9. Agreed. Hell, a significant portion of UM players are form Ohio as well...doesn't seem to be making that big an impact. If you will recall, the first of the Boren brothers started out at UM, and then transferred to OSU. It's not like the Buckeyes ostracized him or anything. The Game is what it is. Those who get it, get it. If you can't wrap your head around the most consequential rivalry in American sports, then you probably shouldn't be coaching ANYWHERE.
  10. Given how few truck drivers can read, this may end up backfiring. Trucks LOL.
  11. Dan LeRetard. :dumb: I think Urban, if he DOES come back to coaching, would only really be interested in the Notre Dame job.
  12. Is that so? Interesting. I was under the impression they did not. Well, wouldn't you know it, Division II has a 28 team tournament. And I'm pretty sure they actually DON'T provide "scholarship equivalents". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_Division_II_Football_Championship And, hey look at this, Division III invites 32 teams of completely un-incentivized scholar athletes to its tournament. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_Division_III_Football_Championship So...apparently we only "care" about the poor athletes who are bigger, stronger, faster, more talented, and with the better support and recovery system in place. :dumb:
  13. All of you who are worried about the kids ability to "hack it", scholastically or physically, need to stop insulting the D1 athletes. The FCS teams have a tournament where 24(!) teams get in. And these kids aren't even on scholarship!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_Division_I_Football_Championship The reason we don't have an expanded playoff for the big boys is money, and nothing more.

  15. Everyone in this thread is slower than molasses in the winter time, possessing of an intellect that any single celled organism would be proud of, and a face that even a mother couldn't bring herself to love even after several shots and a Vicodin chaser. There, I've got the douchebaggery covered. Please continue with the civil discussion.
  16. Holy shit, man. That looked BAD.
