When I got my car from Cali all the seller had to do was sign it over and the car was mine. No notary needed. When transferring a car, the tags went with it. I was able to drive back from Cali to here with the California tags that were on the car and it was legal.

GP's weigh about 3500ish and add the driver. They're not light weights . Try to grab some spring blockers for the back and see if that helps. Remove spare tired, etc.

GP's really don't need a line lock unless you're running 10's. I'm not sure what stall his converter is, but I"m guessing around 3k. Not sure on the gears either. Good luck trying to launch an auto at 4k.. especially a GP. You'd need a 3800 stall or so to do that. He might just need some more seat time in the car. Kilkare isn't the best setup for FWD cars.

That's a good trap speed for that time. It's definitely making power. I'd try a different track like Norwalk that has pretty good traction. I've always had a problem hooking up anywhere but there. You could try a few cheap suspension mods in the back. Some have used cable ties to keep the back end up or if there's room the GTO sping blockers.

What brand slicks? Has the trans been upgraded at all (with what parts if so) ? . Did you do any suspension mods? Any weight reduction? Did you heat up the tires good enough or didn't even heat them up at all? What was your trap speed?

Yep I remember you. I wanted to race, but the MAF sensor died in the car and I didn't want to risk breaking anything. I've sold that 99 and bought an 03 with almost the same mods. Should run about the same time that the other car did if I get it tuned right.

Bought a bare bones system for my parents back in February. The new drive that was in stalled took a shit and there's no warranty past the 30 days that came with it. So.. anyone have a SATA drive lying around? 160 GB would be suffice. Don't really need anything larger than that as all they do is check email and occasional surf the web and look at lottery numbers.
