Ask Alex (hitek cougar), he has a newer Cougar and might be able to help you out.

Ok, putting a bolt in between the two wires that were touching wasn't the smartest thing to do. Bolts are metal, so you might as well not even have put it there. What you need to do is got some electrical tape, and out it around the wires where they were touching. This will stop them from grounding out, which is more than likely the reason why you keep blowing fuses.
  3. VTEC boy? I hate you Mark. tongue.gif Seriously though, for your engine the Greddy kit is the better kit. The Greddy kit can be found cheaper and you will be able to get more power out of it.
  4. Yeah, they'd get it purrdy and install it backwards.
  5. Watch out there's a State Trooper out there and a Franklin County Sherriff. When I went by them both were in the south bound lanes, the trooper had a semi pulled over, and the Sherriff was sitting on the left hand side about 1/2 mile down facing south.

I knew I had left something out. Thanks Tommy. EDIT: And as you can tell by the time I posted that list, it was kinda late at night.

I'll help you out. Here's the 4th through 7th gen Civic chassis codes. 88-91 = ED or comonly refered to as an EF (for some stupid reason) which is the Japanse chassis code. And it's also the Chassis code for the 2nd gen CRX. 92-95 = EG 96-00 = EK Which is obviously yours. 00+ = EM
  9. Truthfully, there's really not much you can do other than N2O like Katie said. I/H/E really won't do much and if you ask me it's not really worth it with that engine. An engine swap or trading in the car for one you can do something with is your best option.
  10. You can as long as it's from the same series engine. It's commonly refered to as a mini-me swap. Just go onto www.honda-tech.com and do a search on it.
  11. You can pick up one for $2750. Well, that's for a 2JZ-GTE. That's what Nippon Motors is asking for them.
  12. See what happens when you drive a Ford. tongue.gif Seriously though, it does sound like your clutch died on you.
  13. Bigbabyjesus is a Honda Tech. Talk to him.
  14. I had to go with the MKIII due to my experiences with a blown head gasket and running 1 bar of boost. And that was my only mod other than having no cats. The head gasket problem is VERY common with the MKIII Supra. Because almost every turbo MKIII blows the stock HG eventually.
  15. Sounds like you're getting compressor surge. Are you sure you're not running more boost than the BOV can handle?
  16. Go with Hondata. Also, talk to bigbabyjesus about it. He can give you all the info you want about it.
  17. I guess you could always try to adjust the idle and see where that gets you. Also, check that air filter and put some injector cleaner in it.
  18. Well, usually when there's oil in with the spark plug, that means that the seal around the plug is bad. You'll have to get new ones and you'll also have to get a new valve cover gasket since you need to take it off to replace them.
  19. No, because I can feel the car just bog no matter how much I push the accelerator down. But once I turn the wheel straight again you feel all the power come back and the car jumps forward.
  20. Whenever I'm going around a corner and I go to accelerate out of it, my car seems to stutter and I don't gain the power until the car is going straight again. I changed out the fuel filter near the end of summer, and the car does it no matter how much gas I have in the tank. Also, it just started doing it all of a sudden about 2 weeks ago. Any ideas anyone? [ 27 December 2002, 04:09 AM: Message edited by: Clutch Pimp ]
  21. The easiest thing to do is buy a wiring harness. Just keep the speakers up the way you have them now, and just use the wiring for the power.
  22. It is true about the cops tagging the first one they see. But beware, by the time you see them, you've probably already been hit by the laser. They can be used from a great distance. And they have nothing better to do than look for you, where as you have other more important things to worry about. Such as staying on the road. Remember, 99% of the time, they're sitting still just looking for cars. Somewhere I have all the info on them. We had to know all that stuff when I was a cop in the Air Force. As soon as I find it, I'll post all the specs on it.
