Wow, that would piss me off even more, what a slap in the face. I'd tell him I needed to talk to him about something in person so I could shove that five dollars down his throat. Sucks that you two work at the same place, kicking this guys ass=getting fired.

Only ~12k ever sold here. Every part that ever breaks is different from an A4 making it more expensive to replace. I saw an old woman (~60) driving one earlier this week.

Is my oil suppose to look like this???

Looks like it would taste good, plenty of chocolate in that milk. -
Let me try to remember/find the place I went to down in Kentucky in college. It was way cooler than when I went to Mammoth. Granted I was young when we went to Mammoth, and we only did the tour. The other place I went to down in Kentucky, at the time, was almost completely open. You can just crawl around anywhere you want, and most of it is crawling. Fun stuff. If you want to do some spelunking, I'm down for a weekend trip, unless it was something you just wanted to do with Elana. Fuck tours though, if I'm going to get lost and die in a cave, it's going to be of my own accord. I went there with people from my school and people from the Wittenberg U. Speleological Society. People from Wittenberg had helped to map some of the cave, so there might be something on there site, but I actually have to do some work now, so I can't dig around there too much. http://www4.wittenberg.edu/student_organizations/wuss/

It should be fine to bring your wife. You've been to our parties before, this one shouldn't be that much different.

I just clicked on it from home. I never looked at that article on this computer before now. Worked just fine, but sine I'm feeling nice for some odd reason...

I had 2 W2's and 1 1099 this year. What a PITA. I'm sure not as much as itemizing though. I got a small chunk of change back though, awww skeet skeet skeet.

IIRC metric thread standards are newer and they have a better design to the threads which make them harder to strip and hold torque more evenly, all other things being the same, as compared to a standard thread. You probably have some sort of placebo effect going on.

It's a 2000 Audi S4 for reference. So I took my car in to get the FLCA recall checked and they say "They look fine, but you have two CV boots split open." So they tell me that they are both front outer. I just replaced the passengers side front outer about six months ago. My question is what could cause this to happen? I would just like to possible eliminate this happening again so I don't have to do it a third time on the passengers side, or a second time on the drivers side later this summer. Especially with how much of a PITA it was to get the joint apart. It was kind of frozen, took a ton of beating to get apart. I only hope they come apart like they are supposed to this time, because other than that and it being very messy, it wasn't a hard job. FYI, There are no vibrations or noises coming from the car at any speeds. There wern't last time either. I caught the boot last time within a month window and there was no joint damage as far as I could tell. I don't think there is this time, but I'll obviously have to take them apart first to check. One more question. There was some heat signature marks, some bluing, on the outer part of the joint when I replaced the other boot. I was thinking that it might be damaged. But it showed no signs of being damaged before or any time after I replaced the boot. I just looked at a picture of the front outer joint kit on ECS, it looked exactly like that. Do they (cv joints) come like this? http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/images/product/iadmin/2430_x600.jpg TIA

I bet the only reason you even found that was because you were thinking about registering that domain.

That definitely might be worth it then. Just depends on whether you want that shell sitting wherever while you find buyers for the parts. It might take a while to find someone who wants most of that stuff. Like you said though, you could always sell the radio, then scrap the rest of the car and be up. Lol, I was going to suggest going to http://www.dsmtrader.com, but warn you about scammers (even though I'm sure you would be able to spot them) because there are a lot on there. It seems as if in an ironic twist, that website has been temporarily taken down due to people getting scammed too much. I'd suggest the local, or a few of the national DSM websites, but IIRC you have to be a somewhat established member to sell stuff. This is definitely the case with the local one, where I would personally fell very comfortable buying or selling parts. Congrats on the car. I bet it feels great to have that project mostly done. I was out to lunch with Eli and he told me you got it together and dynoed it. Great to hear about it being done. Congrats on that massive number too. I can't wait to get home and watch the video.

Wow, they built the hell out of that house. Engineered lumber FTW. What's up with the support beam in the middle of the pool table??? -

If you are talking about going north on 270 toward the mall side, I know exactly what you are talking about. Used to come that way often going from my parents house on the west side to the mall. Would drive me nuts. I'm glad with where I live I don't come that way very often anymore. Coming south going west on Tuttle Crossing is almost worse. There is a full light, and people will get around the stop bar and stop. Realize that they can't see around the car going left so the edge up a little, but keep going right. The way this lane is paved, it allows you to go pretty far to the right. That doesn't net them much so they edge up a little more, but keep going right. They will edge up about two inches while going right more and more about half a dozen times usually while trying to turn right on red. Now that I think about it, there are a lot of little weird things with that whole interchange. Whoever designed everything around there must be one sick bastard because I bet they just drive around in circles around there watching everyone do dumb shit. -

They can't be as sweet as Berto's south of the border horns, but that does sound pretty cool. -

Yeah. I can't count the number of times when I wish I had a big truck so I could just nudge someone and let them know what's up. I’m not talking about hitting someone just to do it or I'm pissed off. I'm talking about when people swerve/turn into my lane directly into me, or turn left in front of my when their not supposed to. I can't tell you how many times I've had to wait for some SUV that ran a red left turn arrow, or swerve into a break down lane on the highway when they come into my lane. Then I have to drive like god for 10 seconds so my nice car that I care about doesn't get hurt. Where if I had a big old truck, I would just let them hit me or not worry as much about stopping. -
Ok, that answers part of his questions. I guess now it's just up to what you are planing on doing with the car. If you just want a DD or something for point a to b. I'd say pass. If you really like these cars, you can get one with a good engine in it for not a ton of money. Book on them is just a little north of 3k. Meaning you could probably get a good deal for $2.xK. Not worth the headache or swaping a motor in this one unless you get it for really cheap. If you are wanting to do some stuff with it, there are a lot of options out there.
-
BTW, I don't think the person who started this thread gives a shit which engine is better.
-
Are those engines not interference engines? If they are, it's a lot bigger of a deal than you are all making it out to be. Are all n/a 2g's the 420a?

Have had that happen a few times in front of me. In very heavy traffic, it happens Another one is cigarettes. I had a woman flick some ashes right into the front of my car on the way here today. It isn't that hard to look in your rear view mirror before you do that (not to mention throwing the whole butt out of the window is littering). I mean if I hack up a luggie driving down the highway, I just don't randomly spit it out onto other cars. -
