NASCAR is not racing, NASCAR is purely entertainment. If you watch a NASCAR race to watch racing, you will be bored out of your mind. I bet a race would be fun to go to, just because of all of the partying that goes on. I watch and go to races because of the racing, what a novel idea. Watching Ferrari and Schumacher do what he/they are doing is phenomenal to watch, even if I do hate them and Schumacher jumps like a ferry. The coverage doesn't focus just on the winner. There is alot of very good racing going on from 2nd on down this year.

Wow, this is horrible, it makes me want to cry. I guess like Berto said I'm just going to Echo what everyone else has said and say that he and his family have definitely been in my thoughts these last few days since I've heard about this.

Rated at, not sure there is such a thing for those motors? IIRC 'common wisdom' says they can rip themselves in half at any moment in the 500+whp range.

Cool, I was actually asking because I had heard some people suggest either way, that they can help and that they do absolutely nothing. Are there aftermarket 302 (or even larger) blocks or do most people just go with something from ford but larger and stronger, such as a 351, etc. Would one be able to use the same parts on a 302 as some other Ford V8's?

To be honest the only CART race I've ever been to was at Mid-Ohio last year. I really like just about any race at Mid-Ohio because it's so easy to get up close and personal with the race. You can walk around to every part of the track and watch the dynamics of the cars through the corners at every corner of the track. You can get a paddock pass and sit about three feet from the cars as they work on them, if not closer. I was in the paddock on the ‘catwalk’ above the garages for the beginning of the ALMS race this year, way cool. graemlins/thumb.gif I'm not sure I'd like any race where I have to sit in a Grand-Stand and I couldn't walk around to just about every part of the track as the race is happening. I can say the fans at the Mid-Ohio CART race last year were not boring, maybe not crazy, but not boring. I really wanted to get to the Super Bike weekend this last year but I had two prior commitments on that Saturday which sort of made it difficult to get up there. I also missed this and the SCCA Run Offs this last year, I will not miss the Run Offs this year. I will never go to a NASCAR race, just as I will never go to an IRL race.

Were you running a girdle? Do they even do very much or is it just better in the long run to go to a stronger block? What are you going to go with?

Maybe it's just me, maybe I went into this movie with the wrong attitude, but I thought it was one of the single dumbest movies ever. Not just the single dumbest movie I’ve ever seen, but the single dumbest movie in the history of the World. I could have been high as a kite before I went and watched this movie and it wouldn't have made it funny. It was only a little funny in a few spots, other spots I laughed out of the pain of how stupid it was. It had absolutely no plot, none whatsoever. I've watched porn’s with better plots than this movie. I even invited another couple to come watch it with us spur of the moment but they didn't end up coming. I later apologized for even inviting them, it was that bad.

Maybe not constant crashes but they happen often enough to make it so a majority of open wheel racers consider the IRL highly unsafe. And when they happen, someone dies a horrible death. I'm glad you've seen the light BC, go see a CART race, you won't be disappointed. graemlins/thumb.gif

DOH! Guess I missed it the first time around. Just looked at my credit card statement and I bought the tires on the 21st of last month. Really wish I would have seen this before hand. Once again...

These are the set of tires that came on my S4 when I got it. I recently replaced thoes with the Pilot Sport PS2's. These are good tires, can't beat them for that price. In fact if I this would have been when I were buying new tires, I would have goten these and bought two new ones for the other set (they just happen to be the right size too). Too bad you didn't have these a month ago. Plug and Bump.
