how fast are you? ET/mph or lap time/ top speed

That's the fucking stupidest thing I've ever heard. When I started skiing I had that mentality, when I started biking I had this mentality. It's a good mentality for sports like that. With what I do now skiing I know I could cause serious permanent damage to myself so I no longer have this attitude. This is me who is wrecking on hard snow usually going ~20. You saying this is coming from someone who is easily doing double, or triple that would be hitting pavement or a pole. Have fun dying. I hope you don't hurt anyone else in the process. graemlins/slap.gif

Have you said anything to them and how have they responded to it if you have? Just wondering.

Never drag raced before. Road raced but never timed, much more dangerous than any other racing, especially at a noob/amateur level, you don't just go out and compete in timed events. Auto-crossed but the times only mean anything to people that were there that day because ever course is different. Top speed, indicated, 120ish in the Talon and 130ish in the S4 (that was this year in the S4 and last summer in the Talon). That's not shit compared to how fast I've been on skis (as far as sensation of speed and thrill). -
I've been 100% more pleased with everything to do with WOW as compared to Time Warner/RR since we've gotten it. Cheaper, never drops like RR always used to, people who came out and installed it did a much better job, better channel selection. Only thing that I think isn't is good is the guide, but we have analog cable service. I've used both of their Digital service at others houses and they are comparable.

That's odd maybe intrax springs are crap or thoes struts are really old, I've heard nothing but good things about thoes struts? graemlins/thumb.gif What all do you have done performance wise right now?

Ben told me about that. This is Jesse by the way.

Looking for someone who can put a bead on some stainless steel tubing. Specifically pieces that have and O.D. of 5/8" and 3/4", the pieces are only a few inches long, thin wall metal (~.040-.050). Need at least 56 of each diameter done, we have the piping, just need the bead put on there. Any ideas or leads would be appreciated.

Sounds like you can do the suspension 'right' for not that much money, this one's a no-brainer if you ask me. You might see some gains from a front mount and piping, but nothing like you'd see going from a bad suspension to a good aftermarket one. Are the struts your going to get basically OEM replacements? Just wondering, the whole blowing them out because of spring rate issue ya know, I guess if that happens after six months your not out anything but will need to buy new, better (read KYB AGX) struts. People over on CbusDSM might be able to more realistically tell you the gains of that front mount and piping better than I, but if your piping and IC isn't leaking now I don't think you'd see that much from it. Have you done the timing belt (and associated bits)?

I assumed and am pretty sure he is. Although the only thing I think that would change about my post (if he is FWD) is that he could use a front lower sway bar ($109) and the bushing kit is $10 cheaper.

If you’re going to do the suspension do it right and get a poly. bushings kit, from talking to others and people at Road Race Engineering (RRE) these can do just as much to make these cars handle better as a spring/strut upgrade. IIRC the lower sway bar in the front is fine (1G AWD), just buy the rear. If you think you can do the suspension 'right' with the same amount of money you were going to spend on a used/slightly damaged front mount w/hard pipes you need to do some more research. According to RRE's prices: KYB AGX struts=$475 Springs~$200 (didn't see any 1G spring kit on RRE's website) Suspension Techniques Rear Sway Bar=$130 Energy Suspension Bushing Kits=$130 475+200+130+130=$935 Plus whatever for a full alignment. We'll round off to a $1k to do it 'right'. This is basically what one of their gurus suggested to me when I called them. Throw in strut tower bars to go 'all out' and that’s another ~$200 (I really don't know if both, if any are generally suggested). I would highly suggest doing suspension if you are happy with the speed right now from your 14B and have done all maintenance. Just my general feeling and opinion, but the straight line speed you would get from that money won't make your car nearly as much more 'fun' as the suspension. Especially if your suspension is shot right now. Also keep in mind tires make all the difference in the world. Please don’t take offense to this. I think you need to start reading ALOT about these cars if you are going to take full advantage of it, I know you are new to them and are trying, that’s why you posted this. There is a TON of information out there about these cars already, take advantage of that. I'm also not a huge fan of front mounts on these cars becuase of how hot they run and I'm more of a road race oriented person, but I think I'm in the minority on this one...

The center differential really cares that much about an ~1% difference? -

I didn't stop laughing for very long at any point in time watching Dodge ball, that movie was out-right hilarious. Possibly going to see Anchorman tonight though, I've been wanting to go see it.

Awesoem and congrats, can't wait to check one out sometime as a WRX was one of the cars I test drove when I was looking for cars so this one interest me quit a bit. graemlins/thumb.gif 6 weeks doesn't sound too bad for build/delievery (although I'm sure the wait still sucks). Kind of a moot point by now but, does anyone know when/is Sabb coming out with the 92x?

I was going to say the same thing. Very very nice car. Welcome to the board.

If the new Uber Vette (whether it be called a Z06 or something else) is to the C6 as the current Z06 is to the C5 it will be a very, very evil car. 'Numbers' are showing the plain vanilla C6 is about the same as the current Z06, although I'd really like to see some lap time comparisons of a C5 to current Z06 to C6. I all most wouldn't be surprised if the C6 lapped faster than the current Z06. Can't wait to see what the new 'Z06' puts up for some lap times.

That's really sad that a truck was their best handling vehicle for that time period.

I don't know if they do a whole lot of anything. Isn't someone who has been convicted of drunk driving once very likely to do it again? If that's the case, I just don't see what they accomplish. But I'm not necessarily against them either. T.J. I'm really sorry to hear about that. That's a horrible thing to hear and I hope the family and all other friends are doing all right. Don't worry, that guy will get his one-day.

Nob, I've been watching adult swim/toonami since I was in highschool (5 years ago). tongue.gif Cartoon network from 11-12:30 is some of the best stuff on TV right now, period. Family Guy, Futurama and ATHF are awesoem. graemlins/thumb.gif

All’s I’m going to say is anyone interested in the house should first drive through the neighbored before thinking any further. I was all about renting this place until I did. Sorry Clay, I though about saying something before but left it alone, but I believe your statement is just a bit misleading.
