  1. Kind of surprised everyone has so much medical knowledge, what's everyone's background?
  2. Chain saw every day of the week. :megusta: Edit: Like someone else said, in a 'real world' zombie situation :lolguy: I'm going chain saw first, then if I have time to prep the shotgun it's next. Chain saw, with shotgun slung over my back. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-E3STWG3Vmv4/TnLc4By0YhI/AAAAAAAAB5E/MMLk71FQ7nI/s1600/ash.gif
  3. Most places have rules like this, it's to keep people from coming here for the sole reason of selling (or scamming). I see buying as a different situation, but I have no idea how the powers that be will perceive it. I'm also sure it would be difficult to setup the forum to know the difference between a FS and WTB add, so the rule couldn't really be changed to accommodate this very rare situation. FYI, your post only count towards your post count in some (relevant) sections. I don't think this is one of them, since it's basically OT post here.
  4. There is a FAQ stickied at the top of every FS section that will answer all of the mysteries of the universe... or maybe just most questions you would have about the FS sections. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11164 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19135 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27684
  5. I've always heard the steaks in Japan aren't very good, and very expensive. You're probably better off getting an american steak.

  7. Not anything I'm really into either, but some of the most fun I've ever had in a car was off roading in his old red truck. What happened to your old red truck Bill?
  8. I've only read Choke, what should I go to next?
  9. Have you read anything buy Cory Doctorow? http://craphound.com/ He has a lot of books on his site for free, released under the Creative Commons License.
  10. At that point I think you would be fine with any big name brand that streams what you want over the connection you want (wifi or wired?) and plays the disk you want. Sorry I can't offer more insight, I don't know about any specific players ATM. I would imagine it's very competitive and most of them will be pretty solid. What brand is your plasma? If you get the same brand player the CEC shit might play a little more nicely?

  12. Ya, well my pal put space horns on his train. THEY ARE SO FUCKING LOUD YOU CAN'T EVEN HEAR THEM.

  14. For your theater? If so, absolutely no reason to go with anything other than this. http://www.oppodigital.com/ Best PQ of any player. But the PS3 is a good option too and will be a better at streaming.
  15. Wait, wat? Are you saying the price of the car doesn't matter... if you aren't paying in cash right now?
  16. Word. I'm free most any evening M-Sat and anytime Sunday. Let me know what works for you, or I can just get a hold of you next week sometime.
  17. Work car I get to borrow sometimes, though I haven't driven it in probably 2 months.
  18. I drive this enterance (Bethel to 315N) every day. I have no idea what's so confusing about it, but out of all of the regular entrances in the city, it's probably the worst for traffic. No one knows how to merge after the light. Everyone gets onto the highway doing 45mph. :fuuuu: I do my best to be an dick there and get in front of people when I can. That way I can reasonable accelerate down the ramp, get up to a high way speed so I'm not risking my life behind some asshole merging at 45mph.
  19. I'm really a smaller car drive.... but you don't know how many times I've fantasied about having a huge truck. Every time someone cuts in front of me at a light and I have the right of way, and have to get on the brakes to not hit them. Or when someone changes into my lane and I have to take evasive maneuvers. I sometimes feel like people try to change lanes into my car on purpose, it happens at such a high incident rate. If I had some big old truck with brush guards all over it, they could just run into me and I wouldn't have to care. :fuckyeah:
  20. Uhhh, no SUV and lowish mileage are requirements. That car doesn't fit what I want at all. My current car has 170k, I'm not spending our whole car fund on something with 20k less miles on it. If I have to get a car that fits none of what I want, I will just get another beater when this one dies. Then keep saving up until I can get what I want. Even the XT Clay suggested feels a little to crossover-ish for me, even though it's only a few inches bigger than an Impreza wagon.
  21. Ya, that's what I'm realizing. I really feel like we need about $12-15k to do it right. But we are saving up for a down payment on a house, so that's where the large chunk of our savings is going. We can't really divert any more to the car fund quite yet. I can keep driving the Sunfire. It's starting to have little things go 'wrong', even though it's more than derivable still. The latest thing was what pushed me to start looking. The cruise control stopped working, though I haven't tried to fix it yet. Like I said earlier in the thread, I drive 37 miles to work, 35 of it on the highway. This might be a breaking point if I can't fix it.
  22. The B5's are still more maintenance intensive than your average car, and I'd like a car less maintenance intensive than your average car so there is that. They are great cars if you want to put the proper time and money into them. Been there, done that, don't want to do it again right now. And these cars (in 4Motion) seem virtually non-existent anyways so it's really a non-starter.
  23. 04-05 1.8T 4Motion looks like an interesting car. Any reliability issues, how is the oil sludge issues on these cars? What chassis and sus setup is this? I had a B5 S4, not really interested in dealing with front sus issues again. Looks like this is a B5 chassis too, basically same setup as the S4? Lol, searched on Auto Trader and there are 2 04-05 Passat 4Motions in Manual, in the entire country. Only one is a 1.8T and it has 215kmi.
  24. Ya, I'm thinking I will have to drive one of these since they keep popping up on my radar. I do drive 37 miles, 35 of which is on the highway to work. I realize most of the cars I'm looking at aren't going to be 'comfortable highway cruisers', but there is a lot of room between that and a tin can. I'm not looking for a tin can either. If I have to settle for a tin can if I can't find what I want at the price I can pay, I will just get another $2-3k beater when this one blows up and keep saving up money.
