  1. My mom wants to get rid of my dad's car. She'll be taking it to Carmax tomorrow to see what they'll offer, but figured I'd post it here as well. My dad too meticulous care of his cars. We have all the service records. It has WeatherTech floor and trunk mats. Tires are fairly new. Only things I know that are wrong with it are the gas struts that hold the hood up don't work anymore, and there is a slow leak in the front left tire. There's nothing wrong with the tire AFAIK, I believe it's a leaky valve steam (he had problems with those before). $14k OBO Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  2. Nice, but the 7:01 was the GenV ACR-EA, not that the GenIV was a slouch though. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  3. So who's trying to steal the election? Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  4. It's not growing a spine and standing up to threats, it's total bullshit, obstructionist, political grandstanding. They are only challenging the Detroit precints (predominantly black), not the suburban one's (predominantly white) where there are also unbalanced rolls. Also, those suburban precints had huge shifts away from Trump from 2016 to 2020 and have more of an influence on overall results. But again, they're not challenging those. Unbalanced rolls happen all over and are usually due to clerical errors, they are not evidence of mass voter fraud. They certified the vote in 2016 when Trump won when there were even more unbalanced precincts than there are today. They certified the 2020 primaries when there were more unbalanced precincts. 5. Sorry about your mother too. Lost my dad Nov 2 at Riverside and we were never allowed to visit until his last hour of life (although he was in the COVID ward). When he was still conscious they did a few Zoom calls, but then there were cyberattacks and the hospital had to stop them and firewall everything coming from outside. Had some great nurses that volunteered their personal cellular devices so my mom could still talk to him. Keep applying pressure and appeal to the hospital. I hope they change their mind before Friday for you. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  6. Were you not chosen as the support person? Or did they change policy and not update their page? https://www.ohiohealth.com/locations/hospitals/riverside-methodist-hospital/our-healthcare-services/maternity/ Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  7. Yea, seems strange. Even in our worst lockdowns in MI they allowed the father to be present, but not extended family. Hopefully they clear this up for you. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

  9. Dr. Scott Atlas, a member of President Donald Trump's White House Coronavirus Task Force, said in a tweet that Michigan should "rise up" after new COVID-19 restrictions were announced on Sunday night. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  10. There's a Russian troll farm somewhere laughing their asses off at how easily they can swing opinions in the US and cause disruption. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  11. Same limits were done here in MI yesterday and there are already Republicans calling for the Governor to be impeached, as well as a Trump official saying citizens need to "rise up" to resist the orders. The only difference between Michigan's policy and many other US states is a Democratic Governor. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  12. In Michigan the hospital directors held a town hall last week. They said they think they have plenty of beds because they have a problem with qualified manpower; they don't have the staff to handle the beds they do have, and there's a concern with hospital staff getting sick and not being able to work. It's worse now than in the spring because other places across the country were offering nurses up to 4x the pay to come there for work and they have lost staff in MI. It's possible Ohio has the same issue. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  13. Ok, interesting. It's how it played out with my dad over the course of 2+ weeks and we talked to others that had a similar experience. His O2 levels and settings would be stable for a day or two, in some cases improving, then suddenly things would change. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  14. That's awful and she probably feels pretty shitty about it. It's good he's not on a ventilator, but there are massive ups and downs with this virus. He could be stable for 2 to 3 days, suddenly crash, then repeat this cycle over and over. Doctors can only play whack-a-mole with symptoms as they happen and try to keep him stable and conformable. Hopefully he can recover quickly. Here's an article from NPR about the current state across the country. Everyone should be careful right now: https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2020/11/13/934566781/the-pandemic-this-week-8-things-to-know-about-the-surge Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  15. Oh yeah, and gastrointestinal issues, like chronic diarrhea caused by COVID and lasting for months. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  16. Crap. It loaded completely the first time for me, but now I get the subscribe screen. It's about long-haul COVID, as well as some studies on other organ damage, specifically heart. There was a study of 100 patients that ranged in COVID severity, from ICU to asymptomatic, and had recovered. Over 70 of them showed heart damage/scarring/arrhythmia weeks after recovery. Other cases of lung damage, brain fog, memory problems, headaches, blood pressure swings are talked about as well (and those are still ~6 months after recovery). Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

  18. Our leaders have all the information available to them and access to advice from experts in any field (be it economic, medical, infectious disease, or whatever), should they choose to listen to any of it. So, yes, I expect them to be more informed on this than we are, the same as I do for things like national security. We can also look at the data available to us and use our own brains to form an opinion. I think the point is that if wearing a mask and keeping distance from people allows us to carry on the rest of our lives as usual, or without disruption, keeps people working, keeps businesses open, etc, that's actually the most American/patriotic thing we can do. No one wants to shut down the economy, but if wearing a mask everywhere keeps the numbers down enough so that businesses can remain open and people don't lose their jobs, then I see that as my civic duty. It's not living in fear. It's risk management. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
  19. I did. QAnon nut jobs are the general population. They're not small in numbers. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

  23. I don't feel that I actually have to provide examples for Trump's improper behavior, as that's been well documented, but some highlights would be infidelity and paying off porn starts, multiple alleged rapes, possible money laundering for Iran and Russian oligarchs, real estate fraud, Trump University, stealing money from a cancer charity, asking Ukraine for the investigation (yea, I know some of you still think that was legit), withholding federal aid from states with Democratic leaders, his association with Epstein, the Central Park 5, thousands of lies in the last 4 years... The other stuff https://www.npr.org/2020/09/06/910320018/fascism-scholar-says-u-s-is-losing-its-democratic-status https://www.npr.org/2020/10/19/925385389/is-trump-really-that-racist https://www.adl.org/blog/the-antisemitism-lurking-behind-george-soros-conspiracy-theories Trump rallies have turned into QAnon rallies as well, and he has done nothing but fuel those crazies. Trumpism has taken over the Republican party, and the party is broken because of it. Within the Democratic party there are a range of positions/viewpoints people have on issues, and there is discourse and debate within the party. Within the Republican party, if you step out of line with Trump you are pushed out. There is no (or very little) middle ground in the party any more. The extreme right is taking hold, and many long time Republicans have gone silent or fallen in line when Trump does something they don't agree with. They have no balls. 25. When the left buys into baseless conspiracy theories (QAnon, pizzagate, etc), screams about the opposition is eating dead fetuses, ignores all improper behavior from their dear leader, endorses racist tropes and fascist behavior, let me know. They are not equivalent. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
