  1. Yeah, I know. I recognized the car and your s/n. Obviously, I am on the SF with the same name too. In addition to the tunes you mentioned, RPi also has a reflash available.
  2. Any idea of his screen name? "Chipped" doesn't mean much...there are only about 2 reflashes that actually do anything. BTW, Welcome.
  3. Kenny, who is it? Do I know him? You can PM me if you don't want to post it.
  4. Um...that's exactly what happens at 5252. Hp=Torque at 5252 rpm. You can graph it to look any way that you want.
  5. I agree. I got 6.25% with 10% down and a credit score of 799. With 20% down I could have only gotten around 6%.
  6. Yes, true. But I didn't expect he was asking because he's putting down over 20%.
  7. Your interest rate is going to depend on your credit score and how much you put down.
  8. The new WRX is getting upgraded to something like 250HP for next year. The me that wouldn't be bad on the budget, it would have good power, AWD, and I think it's a good looking sedan. The MS3 is a great car. It's a hair cheaper than the Caliber SRT4 and is a great all-around car. The Caliber can be fun to drive, has more aggressive looks, and similar interior space. While the GTI would get the best MPG and is a great all-around car too. It might have less interior space if it's a 2-door hatch, but that's up to you if you need the room. Personally, I would love an Evo, but I think they're way over priced. For that price I would get a new CTS and save the rest of my money.
  9. I was driving the Dodge Journey in January of 2007. BOO YA!
  10. If that's where this was then you need to drive around there more often. Being just north of the GM Tech Center and the Hybrid Development Center you can see a lot in that area. Not to mention when engineers take vehicles home for the night.
  11. If it had an M-plate on it then it's classified as a test vehicle. However you will also see lots of cars floating around Detriot area streets without M-plates before they are available to the public. Those are part of the manufacturers captured fleet that's used for fast feedback of any last minute build/calibration issues.
  12. Woah...is that Ralph Lauren's garage?
  13. haha, yeah, sometimes I get to drive some pretty cool stuff. The SS I drove was one of the that was at the 'Ring. My time in it was short though The best man in my wedding used to sit next to the SIDI 2.0L Ecotec on the dyno when it was being tuned. AJ - I don't think you'd want to move to MI right now. Plus, you'd probably get a cooler job by working through GM and trying to make your way to Milford or Warren. Where I work you would get a lot of brake bleeds, wiring jobs, and the occasional short-notice trip to AZ, northern MI, Alaska, Sweden, Finland...who knows!
  14. I'm sure I'm not the first (judging by the thoughts of some people with DSM's, and a few others in the Sol/Sky forums) and I'm sure I won't be the last. No offence, but people like him because he makes parts for cars that most other aftermarket companies ignore, or because they don't know much about cars. I don't know anyone that's knowledgeable about engines that would ever buy his stuff. Again, the BSR tune for the SIDI turbos are the exception and possibly the new intercooler he has out...but each of those mods are $1000 each. I will never spend $1000 for a tune, and $1000 for an intercooler is outrageous. Swapping the turbo out for a crappy 20G doesn't make sense to me. Yeah, it's larger than stock, but I'd rather stick with something ball-bearing with really quick spool. You're not going to be able to run the RPM's to make use of a larger turbo (at the moment). A GT2871 or GT30 would be a much better choice...and you'd be able to re-use most (if not all) the stock turbo water and oil lines. HPTuners will do very little at the moment. Westers Garage seems to have the 'best' tune for these cars right now. Good luck with your car. I'm not sure what the hesitation could be...I haven't heard of anyone with that problem. The main Sol/Sky problems were with clams that weren't tight enough causing boost leaks. Keep me updated, I'd be interested to hear what the issue is. Good luck with the car. The one I drove in March '07 was impressive. It's definitely a performance bargin and fun to drive.
  15. Well "Hahn's" tune is the BSR tune (developed by BSR in Sweden...they do stuff for Saab's and made a tune for the Opel GT, which translates to the Sol, Sky, HHR, Cobalt...) Everything else he makes is crap, with possible exception to 2.0L SIDI intercooler, IMPO. After seeing his other stuff at SEMA up close I'm convinced it's Hahn ftl. What's wrong with the car?
  16. Uhh...I didn't think they have MAF's. It's probably the shitty wastegate.
  17. Welcome. Nice car, I like the new SS's. From the comments above it sounds like you're going to buy everything Hahn Racecraft puts out
  18. of all the SRT vehicles, the Jeep is the most fun to drive. Why's the boost all over the place?

    NOPI Done?

Does this mean no more NOPI Tunervision with Charity Hodges?!
  20. I wish I could have mine there. It would be saving me a lot of money
  21. I'm not trying to nit-pick, but 0.08 is legally drunk. I'm sorry for your loss and I hope it's something people can learn from.

  23. Honestly, SHOULD they let it go? If it were my family I wouldn't, especially when some members on her continually say "no, he wasn't racing," when the WBNS article even says George's wife confirmed he was out for a race, which took place. That's part of what started all of this media attention, and possibly the sting operation. I'm sure the CPD was not happy that they could not charge anyone when they knew what was going on. This was part of the pay back.
